After gathering a lot of books of random Toons they believe to have magic, James put all the books on a nearby table. "Holy crap, this is a lot-!" James said. He picked up one of the books. "Who the hell is Zatanna?" He said, with a very confused look.

He heard Trickster laughing. "I thought you said you know about a lot of cartoons?"

James grunted. "I told you! I don't know much about comics. Really, the only cartoons I truly know about are mostly Warner Brothers or Disney. And Hanna-Barbera... but...there are too many toons in the world," James looked through the books they selected. "It could be anyone! This is going to be impossible... this is truly a mystery,"

Trickster came up to him. "Maybe we can get Scooby-Doo and the gang to crack this,"

"Seriously?" James asked, looking at Trickster with a 'really' face.

"Hey, some Toons who act in a show, that's their actual quirk in real life," Trickster said.

"Where are they even?" James asked, looking back at the books.

"I dunno... I haven't seen them in a while, to be honest,"

"Hey... let me look for something," James heard Trickster say.

"Huh? What?"

He saw Trickster go back to the computer. "What are you looking for?"

"Hold on-," Trickster scrolled the screen. Then, after a few moments, James saw the shelf they used last, duck into the ground, followed by a new one flying down the line.

"Who is this Toon you pulled up?" James asked.

Trickster took the book, then handed it to James.

James looked at it. He arched an eyebrow and took it. "Gargamel?" He looked up at Trickster. Trickster nodded.

"He's magic based, isn't he? As much as I'm aware, he's an evil wizard."

"Trickster...," James said with a sigh. "Just because he's an evil wizard in The Smurfs, doesn't mean he's actually evil in real life. I met him once, and he's really nice... just not to The Smurfs who antagonize him," James said.

Trickster sat on the table. "But, hey, you never know! He's literally another wizard! He could know about the spellbook! Better yet, he could have it!"

James looked down at the book. "Fine, I guess we can ask him."

"Ooh! I... Have a thought!"

James looked at him. "What?"

Trickster jumped off of the table and ran back to the computer. James noticed him scrolling. "Who are you trying to find?" He asked.

Trickster didn't answer right away, and after a few moments of scrolling through the screen: "Rats! I don't think it's here! Probably because they're not registered at our Toon Town!"

James tilted his head. "What? Who are you talking about?"

"What was the name of the company of that Toon that served us the soup?" Trickster asked.

"Um... Studio Ghi... Wait... are you saying it's Studio Ghibli?! How dare you! They wouldn't do this!"

Trickster sighed. "How could you be so sure? All this weird stuff happened right after they got sent here to be filmed here. The least we could do is make them suspects," Trickster said. "What Toons from them are magic based?"

James sighed because he didn't want to expect anyone from beloved Studio Ghibli would do such harm to Toons, but it would be wise to also make them suspects. "Well... a lot actually..." James said. "One of them was a witch... Kiki... and a few of the characters from Spirited Away, could do magic, like Yubaba..."

"Don't know any of them, but we can go look for them," Trickster said.

"But... would Studio Ghibli count as old? They're just from the 80s, mostly,"

Trickster shrugged. "Maybe their rules are different over there in Japan. Maybe Toons can use magic freely."

"Which... Just says how Anime Toons wouldn't cause havoc on people," James said.

Trickster just shook his head with a chuckle. "Come on, let's go and find them,"

James nodded. "Come on Bendy, let's go," James said picking Bendy up.

James and Trickster walked back to the main tunnel. "They're not here?" James said, looking around for Luz and the rest.

"Probably not. They did say they went back to the Boling Isle," Trickster said.

James sighed. "So... we have to search for these Toons on our own?"

"Well, I do know were the Anime Toons are saying. We just have to do a lot of walking to get there," Trickster said. "Toon Town is very big, so it'll take a while,"

James nodded. "Alright, let's go."

They were walking up and down the streets of Toon Town, looking for any sight of Anime characters. But the Town was barren. "This is strange," Trickster said. "The Town is never usually this empty," He said.

"I know," James agreed. "I always come to visit Roger, and it's always rammed with humans and Toons,"

"Well, we know why the humans aren't here," Trickster said.

James nodded. "Yeah. The gateway tunnel is blocked. I guess... The Toons are taking it easy, no humans to meet means a slow day I guess,"

"Yeah, meet and greats can be a lot of work to do," Trickster said. "I don't blame the Toons for keeping in. They probably wouldn't even want the Tunnel to open any time soon," He said. James chuckled. "Yeah," He said.

Trickster looked at James, then at Bendy who was riding his shoulders. "Where... Did you say he's from again?"

James looked at Trickster, then up at Bendy. "He told me he was from Game Town... I wonder how they're doing?"

"I don't know," Trickster said. "I wouldn't be surprised if they're blocked as well,"

"I wonder how Sora is doing?" James said.

"Sora?" Trickster asked. "I haven't been to Game Town all too much, who's that?"

"Oh, well, he's a part of this game that was Disney collaborating with Square Enix to make a crossover game of Disney Toons with Final Fantasy game characters. I've met Sora once, and he told me everything,"

"How'd you manage to get to Game Town? Isn't Game Town more expensive to visit than Toon Town?" Trickster asked. "It is... It was mostly because of my brother. He literally has a crush on Sora, and wanted to meet him," James said.

He heard Trickster chuckle. "What?" James asked, looking at him smiling.

"It's just that so many humans fall for Toons. Some Toons ended up falling for humans and they've both dated," Trickster said. "It's why they're making a technology to age up Toons, so in case love happens between a Toon and a human, they can date," Trickster explained.

James blinked. "O-Oh... Really?"

Trickster nodded. "Yep. Surprisingly, they were that considerate."

James kept on looking at Trickster. "Um... When do... They release that... age thing?"

"Um..." Trickster looked at him. "I dunno, maybe next month? If... we solve this invisible wall mess by then,"

James nodded. "R-Right...I hope they do make it,"

James then heard Trickster giggle. His face went red. "W-What?"

He could see Trickster smirking at him, and it made his face get red.

"Is... Is there some Toon out there you like or something? Is that why you want them to make it?"

"Uhhh... um... No..."

"Oh come on," Trickster said rolling his eyes. "There's got to be a Toon out there that you do fancy. Everyone I've seen, has some cartoon crush one way or another,"

James's face was still red. "I won't say,"

Trickster laughed. "It's some Anime Toon isn't it?"

"What? No!"

"Uh-huh! It's that Kiki girl you talked about!"

"What? I'm not attracted to girls,"

"Oh! Uh... um.. then who could it be? Could it be... Bruce Wayne?"

James just blinked at him with a grave expression. "Bruce Wayne is literally old-,"

Trickster blinked. "Oh... R-Right... um... hmmm... Which Toon guy out there is cute... is it... Is someone from a modern show? You say you love The Owl House, is it a guy from there? I think Luz mentioned a Toon named Hunter,"

James shook his head. "No... It's not any Toon from that show."

"Then... what show is it then? You never exactly told me what other shows you like..." Trickster said.

And James realized he didn't. The Toon he liked wasn't from a show though. It was a Toon who was walking beside him right now. But he didn't want to tell Trickster that. At least, not yet. He wanted to bond with him more.

But... He was worried that Trickster might not like guys like in that way. And he didn't want to embarrass himself later on.

"Um... I..." James said, shyly.

Trickster tilted his head.

"The Toon I like... is black and white..."

Trickster blinked at him. "Black and white? ... You like Mickey Mouse?" He asked, tilting his head.

James blinked and looked over at Trickster disgusted. "What?! You are a weirdo! Why would I like a damn mouse!" James snapped, pushing Trickster. Trickster giggled, with the giggling turning into laughter. "Hey! What can I say? Some of you humans are into some weird crap!"

"Well, I'm not!" James yelled. Trickster giggled.

"Okay, so black and white? You did tell me you prefer some older cartoons. I reckon you fell for someone who's a teen like you... but there isn't any black and white teenager Toon. I'm the only one and I got scrapped. And you told me it isn't an anthropomorphic Toon... so..."

James just looked at him.

Trickster blinked at him. Then, James blinked. Trickster's eyes widen a bit. "What? Wait... No..." He said. He saw James's face go a little red.

Trickster stopped walking, then put his hands up to his mouth. "Y-You like me?"

James stopped and looked down. "Um... maybe... yeah,"

"B-But how? What's there to like about me? I have no character, I'm just a scrapped Toon that can easily be forgotten!" Trickster said.

"Well... I don't really see that. All I see is a very kind Toon... Who had potential,"

Trickster blinked. His face went a gray color. "I... Never had someone like me before..."

James blushed. "Um... Should... we keep walking?"

Trickster nodded.

So, they both resumed walking.

"I'm... I'm sorry," James said after they walked a few feet.

"Sorry? For what?"

"I think I made you uncomfortable... I didn't mean too,"

"Uncomfortable? If you made me uncomfortable my instincts would have kicked in, and I would have chucked a pie at your face. You didn't make me uncomfortable at all,"

"O-Oh..." James said. He looked at Trickster and saw him looking at him, smiling softly. He blushed and looked away. "You... probably don't like guys,"

"Hey- ... bisexual until proven otherwise," Trickster said.

James quickly looked at him. "H-Huh?"

Trickster chuckled. "It's what we Toons are," Trickster said.

James arched an eyebrow. "That's... That's an actual thing?" He asked.

Trickster nodded. "None of us Toons are Straight or Gay. Because you don't know what the cartoon creators what us to be for a role," he said. "So, that makes us all bisexual. I'm bi... but because I never had a character for myself... I was never written to have a love interest. I... don't really know how love is..."

James blinked at him.

"I... Spending time with you... I feel... something different-," Trickster started. "But... it's probably because I never had a proper interaction with anyone in such a long time. I don't want to confuse me just missing interactions with people... to love. I wouldn't want to hurt you like that," Trickster finished

"O-Oh..." James said looking. "I understand that."

"But hey," Trickster said putting his hand on James's shoulder. "Doesn't mean we can't take it slow-," he said with a smile. "This... is really, the most happiest I've been in over a hundred years... and once that aging technology gets made, I'll start to grow from a teenager eventually,"

James looked up at him. "Y-Yeah...!"

Trickster smiled warmly at him. "Thank you for making me happy so far," He pulled James in for a hug. James froze for a bit but then hugged back.

But, there was a loud sound coming from around the corner. Trickster gasped and looked in the direction the sound come from. "What was that?" James asked, looking.

"I don't know, maybe a Toon? Let's go check it out," Trickster said.
