Luna glanced over her magazine at her girlfriend, who was grumbling under her breath and scowling at her laptop as if it had purposely offended her. Luna's lips turned up in a soft smile and she reached out to gently tap Ginny's shoulder. "Are you alright, sweetie?"

"No, I'm not alright," Ginny snapped back before softening her tone. "I'm sorry, Lu…"

"It's okay," Luna said, already knowing what Ginny was about to say, judging by the voices on the laptop.

"It's just that…these bloody cricketers don't know shit about what they're doing!" Ginny's face turned as red as her hair.

Luna, who didn't know the first thing about cricket except for the fact that it involved a bat, a ball, and eleven people running after it like lunatics, smiled and rubbed Ginny's shoulder to soothe her as best as she could. "Oh, that's bad. Why don't you tell me more?"

Luna didn't particularly want to hear what Ginny was about to say, mostly because her magazine was more interesting with its conspiracy theories and astrology sign descriptions, but she was a supportive girlfriend.

Wringing her hands, Ginny began rambling. "This bastard on my team needs to be kicked out already—why the fuck is the coaching staff still keeping him on is a bloody mystery! His economy rate has gone way over what it should be at his experience level, but the idiot doesn't even know how to keep the batsman from hitting boundaries and sixes on his ball! Like, Luna, did you know Wood actually hit five consecutive sixes in the previous over because this arse bowled a no-ball by overstepping way over the crease? Can't he just look where he's stepping? Is he blind?"

Luna did not understand half of what Ginny had said, but she was always ready to comfort her girlfriend, so she hummed and nodded along. "I'm sorry you feel that way, Gin."

Ginny finally ended her rant with an extremely masculine grunt that made Luna melt on the inside. Ginny crossed her arms and continued to scowl at the laptop screen. "I swear, if he doesn't stop acting like an amateur, I'm going to…"

Luna finally chuckled at Ginny's reaction and reached over to wrap her arms around Ginny's shoulders. Tucking her head into the crook of Ginny's neck, she kissed her collarbone before pressing a soft kiss to the side of Ginny's throat.

And just like Luna had expected, Ginny melted back into her arms with a hearty sigh. Her shoulders slumped forward and she tilted her head to the side, giving Luna more access to her skin.

Thankful that Ginny wasn't complaining about her favourite sport any more, Luna continued peppering kisses over her skin. She gently turned Ginny to face her and Ginny cupped Luna's cheek.

Ginny's hand was sweaty after having gotten so angry at her cricket team, but Luna didn't mind. Ginny was passionate about almost everything, and Luna loved her (sometimes) over-the-top reactions. Cricket was one of her absolute favourite sports, and Ginny often ended up yelling at the television, laptop, or radio when her team wasn't playing to its potential.

She leaned in for a kiss, and Ginny closed her eyes as she came closer. Ginny may claim to be the grumpy one of the pair, but Luna knew just how much Ginny loved her.

It never failed to melt her heart when Ginny grew hungry for Luna's kisses. Ginny's lips moved insistently over hers, and a quiet sigh escaped Luna's mouth, which Ginny swallowed. Ginny wrapped an arm around Luna's waist and dragged her onto her lap before lovingly wrapping a fist around her hair.

Luna's long, blond hair formed a silky curtain around their faces as she tilted her head down to increase the intensity of their kisses. Ginny panted into her mouth, and her hips began to undulate against hers.

But then, the loud sound of a crack echoed through the room, and Ginny's mouth shot away from hers. A small string of saliva connected their mouths together, which was quickly broken when Ginny turned her head to look at the laptop screen.

A squeal erupted her usually angry lover, and Luna couldn't help but stare at Ginny with wide eyes.

"A fucking wicket! Can you believe it? The man's done it! A bit too late to win the fucking game, but still! He got a wicket!" Ginny screamed, picking Luna up by her waist and dropping her onto the sofa beside her.

Luna laughed at Ginny's excitement as the latter hopped up and down, still sitting on the small sofa. Ginny laughed, clapped, and even wolf-whistled at the screen, her enthusiasm catching as Luna did the same.

"Losing a wicket is a good thing?" Luna asked after she had fully lost Ginny's attention to the cricket match. She didn't mind; Ginny's excitement or anger was a great tool for spicing things up in their bedroom.

"Oh, yeah, Potter was so close to a hundred runs too," Ginny said with a wicked grin. "It always hurts the most when they fail to score a century. Morale will be down a bit, which is great for my team. Can't wait to see who they send in next. If it's Malfoy, he could do a bit of damage."

Luna smiled and nodded. She had no idea who Potter or Malfoy were, but they probably weren't on Ginny's team if she was reacting like this. Luna simply leaned over and kissed the side of Ginny's temple. "I'm going to bed, sweetie. Come when your match is over, okay? Don't spend the rest of the night ranting on Twitter. I know you."

Ginny grinned sheepishly at her words, but she nodded. "Yes, Mother."

Luna shot her a pointed look, which made Ginny burst into peals of laughter. Ginny quickly stole a kiss and patted Luna's hair. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself. You know I love you."

"I know," Luna said dreamily. She got to her feet, picked up her magazine, and left for the bedroom, where she could peacefully read about the latest conspiracy theories about the wizards that had appeared in Bermuda.
