Author's Note: I'd once again like to thank Firebolt-The Blazing Saint for looking over an earlier version of this chapter for me. This is one story where I feel it's extremely important to have a second pair of eyes check it out.

Episode 1 - Sunrise City
It was midmorning as young David Shield drove his futuristic red car down the interstate to Sunrise City, Kansas. Sitting in the passenger seat was David's friend from Japan, Toshinori Yagi, also known as the rookie hero, All Might. David had met All Might not too long ago when the young hero rescued him and several others from a devastating laboratory explosion. Ever since this incident, David had decided to stick by All Might's side as the hero finished his training in America, providing him with any support he needed. At the moment though, All Might's journey to becoming the ultimate hero was taking a little detour.
"Thanks for tagging along with me, Dave," All Might spoke. "I know the wedding invitation I got sort of came out of the blue."
"Hey, it's no problem," David assured him. "Besides, I've always wanted to visit Sunrise City. It is after all home to the Helios Corporation, probably the biggest hero support company in the industry right now. As I'm sure you know, they produce support items for heroes all over the world. Getting to go to this company has sort of been a dream of mine."
All Might laughed. "I should've known! Well then you'll really get a kick out of this. One of the classmates of mine who's getting married? He's Kaito Helios."
"Wait, as in the son of Edward Helios? Owner and founder of the Helios Corporation? Toshi, you've been holding out on me."
"Well it never occurred to bring it up until just now. Honestly I never really gave too much thought about what Kai's family did."
"And the guy was really one of your classmates at U.A." David smiled and shook his head. "You never stop amazing me, you know that? So I guess you and Kaito Helios were pretty good buddies if he's inviting you to his wedding."
All Might looked out at the rolling Midwestern landscape around them. "We became fairly good friends during our time at U.A., but we were also rivals. Both of us have been aiming to become the number one hero. Honestly, it's an honor he invited me to his wedding."
"You said the woman Kaito's marrying was also a U.A. classmate, right?"
"Yep. Noriko Akizuki. She and Kai sort of became the school's top power couple. In fact, a lot of the guys at U.A. were a little envious of Kai."
David smirked. "You included."
All Might blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Well, maybe a little. But she was already engaged to Kai even back then. Besides, my focus has always been on my goal. To become the symbol of peace!"
At long last the car came in view of Sunrise City. Standing in the very center of the sprawling metropolis was a gigantic gold tower that was several stories tall. At the very top of this gilded edifice was a red saucer-like structure.
David whistled in amazement. "So that's Helios Tower. I've seen pictures of it online, but seeing the real thing? It's more spectacular than I ever imagined."
All Might grinned. "I'm sure Kai will be glad to give us a tour when we arrive."
Suddenly the duo saw a large explosion near the edge of the city. All Might gave David a look the young inventor had now seen many times before.
David smiled and nodded. "Of course you wanna head there and help out. Fine. Guess we're taking the express route into the city."
After David pressed a few buttons, the duo's red car suddenly transformed and took off into the air. The newly transformed aircraft zoomed across the sky towards the area of the explosion. In just a few short minutes, David's car was hovering above an intersection occupied by a large dark-grey mechanical tank with six legs instead of wheels and treads. Standing inside the top of the tank was a man wearing a golden metal skull mask with green eyes, along with a black bodysuit that had gold armor covering the shoulders and golden chest plate designed to look like a ribcage. On the ground around this tank were at least thirty more men wearing identical costumes and carrying gold futuristic-looking blasters.
Police officers in full tactical gear had surrounded the intersection and were currently trading fire with the costumed individuals. Unfortunately the police seemed to be on the losing side of the conflict.
The masked man in the tank began speaking into a microphone. "We are the Golden Skulls! Because of this city's crime of providing the world's so-called heroes with weapons, it shall be cleansed from the earth with fire!"
"Oh man! I've read about these guys," David spoke as he and All Might looked down at the fight below. "They're some sort of world-wide terrorist group trying to take down every government on the planet so they can establish their own warped version of society where people can use their quirks however they want. Probably read too much of the literature by that Destro freak."
"Whoever they are, I'm putting a stop to them!" All Might declared before jumping out of the flying car.
As All Might descended towards the ground, he flipped through the air and quickly removed the clothes he was wearing. Underneath he had on a skin-tight navy-blue, white and red costume with a light-blue cape and knee-high grey and white boots. The instant All Might landed on the ground both the police and the villains stopped shooting at on another.
All Might smiled and put his hands on his hips. "I am here! Your fiendish plans end now, villains!"
The leader of the Golden Skulls inside the tank clenched his fist. "I don't know who you are, but no pathetic no-name hero is going to get in our way!"
The tank's turret turned and pointed at All Might. The skull leader pressed a button and the cannon fired a small missile at the hero. All Might merely grinned and punched the air with his fist. The resulting blast of air caused the missile too explode half way towards its target. Both the Golden Skulls and the police were absolutely stunned.
All Might let out a hearty laugh. "Is that all you've got?"
The skull leader's fists trembled. "Don't just stand there, you fools! Kill him!"
The other Golden Skulls at last came to their senses and aimed the blasters they were holding at the hero. Before any of the masked villains could open fire, balls of gold light came down from above and struck eight of the blasters being held by the villains. The weapons were knocked from the hands of the villains and blew to pieces before hitting the ground. Immediately all of the Golden Skulls stopped and looked up, as did All Might and the police. A new hero was hovering above the battlefield.
This new hero was a young man with dark hair that had a small curl at the front above his forehead. Covering his eyes was a red visor attached to two gold circular devices that covered each ear. The circular devices at the end of this visor connected to the neck of a skintight black bodysuit made out of a strange fabric, with gold armor covering the wearer's chest. Two small solar panels went over the shoulders of the armor, and in the middle of the chest plate was a single red light surrounded by six black triangles meant to represent the rays of the sun. On his back was a compact gold jetpack, and on each hand the hero wore an elbow-high golden metal glove with a red light in the middle of the palm. He also had on a pair of knee-high golden metal boots, each one with a pair of thrusters on the underside.
The hero in the air looked down at All Might and crossed his arms. "I should've known this would happen the moment I invited you here, Yagi. You haven't even shown up at my door, and already you're stealing my thunder."
All Might shaded his eyes. "Is that you, Kai?"
The young hero who was obviously Kaito Helios waved a finger. "We're out in the field right now, so you should address me by my hero name. Call me Sun King."
The skull leader in the tank clenched his fist. "Another damn hero! I'm going to exterminate you vermin right now!"
The barrel of the tank pointed upward and fired two more missiles at Sun King. Sun King flew to the left and dodged the first projectile, and then fired two beams of gold light from his palms at the second. The second missile exploded upon being hit. The Golden Skulls who still had weapons aimed up towards Sun King, but before they could even pull the trigger their weapons glowed with a pink aura and were pulled from their hands into the air. The villains watched in shock as their blasters were crushed like empty soda cans by this same mysterious force.
A stunning pink light bathed the area, and it looked to those on the ground as if a new star had come into existence in the air above them. The light faded enough to reveal a young woman with long shimmering dark-blue hair and porcelain skin. She had on a black bodysuit similar to Sun King's, and covering her torso was a piece of silver armor with a pink six-pointed star on the front. The female hero also had on silver metal knee-high boots and silver elbow-high metal gauntlets. Around her waist was a silver belt with a pink star-shaped buckle, and covering her forehead was a silver circlet with a small pink gemstone fitted into the front.
The female hero's body was giving off its own pink aura and a light in the shape of a pink halo shined above her head. "Enough! I will not allow any blood to be spilled in this city!"
"Noriko, er Star Queen!" All Might identified. "Is that really you?"
Sun King smirked. "Nice one, babe. I think between the three of us, we've got this situation wrapped up."
The tank the skull leader was using pointed its barrel up at Star Queen, but before it could even fire a missile Star Queen pointed her right arm down at it. The barrel glowed with a pink aura and the groan of metal could be heard as it twisted into a spiral shape. Meanwhile the Golden Skulls on the ground charged at All Might despite not having any weapons. Six of them piled onto the hero, but with one flex of his muscular body All Might knocked them all away. At the same time the police officers charged in and began to subdue the other villains.
"This isn't over," the skull leader declared as he pressed a few buttons inside the tank. "You may have won this battle, heroes! But our movement shall win the war! Victory to the Golden Skulls!"
Suddenly the skull leader vanished with a burst of green smoke. At the same time, the tank had started beeping.
"The leader got away!" Star Queen realized.
"Damn!" Sun King cursed. "He must have some sort of teleportation quirk or something."
All Might noticed the beeping noise coming from the tank. "Forget the leader for now! I think we have bigger problems!"
Sun King pressed the right side of his visor and nodded. "You're right. He's activated some sort of self-destruct mechanism inside the tank. According to what I'm seeing on my display, the energy building up is powerful enough to take out five city blocks. I'm not sure I have the time needed to diffuse it."
"Leave it to me!" All Might told him as he dashed towards the tank.
The blonde hero lifted the tank off the ground by the front and hurled it into the air with incredible strength. All Might then jumped up after the tank and it flew towards the sky.
While halfway towards the tank, All Might pulled his fist back. "Texas SMASH!"
The punch All Might unleashed caused a powerful blast of air that propelled the tank even further upward. The tank ended up exploding far above the city, creating only a flash of light that did no harm at all to the people below. The police and the citizens who had been watching things from the ground let out a cheer. All Might landed on the ground and grinned as he put his hands on his hips.
David had since landed his car in the spot where the tank had been and ran over to All Might. "Toshi! Outstanding work!"
Sun King landed next to All Might and raised his visor, revealing his green eyes. "I couldn't agree more. Using one of your moves to blow the tank out of the city was inspired. Just what I'd expect from my top school rival."
All Might laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "And you're just as good as ever! Thanks for this assist, Kai."
"Toshi-kun!" Star Queen spoke as touched down next to All Might and her halo vanished. "You were amazing!"
"You too, Noriko," All Might responded. "It's great seeing you again. You know, I almost didn't recognize you when you showed up. You've really improved a lot since I last saw you."
"I almost didn't recognize you either," Star Queen admitted. "Your hair used to be a lot messier than it is now."
David cleared his throat.
"Oh! Nearly forgot. Kai, Noriko I'd like you to meet a friend of mine, David Shield," All Might introduced. "He's the one who designed the costume I'm wearing."
"Is that right?" Sun King spoke as he looked All Might over. "Well your friend did an amazing job. This costume's hardly damaged at all. As I remember, you used to go through three or four costumes a week back at U.A. It was always a headache for the support course students. I remember one girl who would always pull out her hair whenever one of your costumes came in all torn up."
Star Queen chuckled. "Remember when we were practicing for the provisional licensing exam? You were trying to perfect one of your ultimate moves and somehow totally shredded the top half of your costume when you threw a punch."
All Might blushed. "Uh, could we please not talk about that?"
David snickered a little and shook his head. "Speaking of costumes, Sun King. I couldn't help but notice how unique yours is. You're obviously using support items to fly, but I can't determine the power source. I know the Helios Corporation is capable of some pretty advanced tech, but I find it a little hard to believe they've developed batteries or generators that are super compact but also capable of putting out the energy your gear was generating."
"Well you're totally right," Sun King confirmed. "You see I'm the suit's battery. My quirk, Solar Power allows me to absorb the sun's rays and store it in my body as energy, which I can either release as blasts or use to power electronic equipment."
"I see. But if your power comes from absorbing sunlight, wouldn't the suit you're wearing get in the way of that?"
"Actually this suit's made of a special material that essentially allows me to absorb about three times the amount of sunlight I normally take in. Plus the solar panels on my armor take in additional sunlight and send into a reserve battery I can tap into in a pinch. This battery is only used to boost the power of my gauntlets though."
"Kaito designed every detail of the costume he's wearing himself, along with every costume he's worn in the past," Star Queen revealed. "Back at school it seemed like he'd always be working on costume blueprints between classes."
"Kai even took a few additional support course classes back at U.A.," All Might revealed. "He's probably about as smart as you are, Dave."
Sun King chuckled. "You flatter me, Yagi. But then I've always liked to tinker with stuff, even when I was ten years old."
David nodded. "I guess I should've expected as much from the son of the Helios Corporation's founder."
"Anyway, it's good to see you again, Toshi-kun," Star Queen interjected. "I'm glad you're doing well."
All Might nodded. "Same. I'm glad I could make it here for your wedding. By the way, is anyone else from our old class going to show up?"
"Actually Yagi, you're the only one from our class we invited," Sun King revealed. "You see there's actually a different reason for why I wanted you here. I'd like you to join the Protectors Initiative."
It was the dead of night in Japan as the car of Carmine Fugo parked out in front of an abandoned mansion in the middle of a forest just outside Tokyo. As he and his two men got out of the car, the aging mafia don couldn't believe he had come all the way out to such a remote place, but the old mansion was where he had been told to come, and he had been a member of the underworld long enough to know never to question the instructions of who he was meeting. As the three looked upon the old mansion, Carmine and his two goons froze. The sight of the dilapidated old house in the pale moonlight sent chills down each of their spines. It looked like the kind of house where ghosts and goblins might dwell.
"Uh, boss? I don't know about this," one of Carmine's two goons spoke. "You sure this is the right place?"
Carmine nodded. "I'm sure, Vito. I'm sure. You and Jimmy wait out here. The man I'm here to see told me to come in alone."
After steadying his nerves, Carmine made his way up to the front door. The moment he raised his fist to knock, the door creaked open on its hinges. The fifty-four year old mobster had to take another moment to steady his nerves before actually stepping into the house. Carmine mentally chewed himself out for being so afraid. The aging mobster had never believed in haunted houses, but then again the person he was meeting was far more frightening than any ghost could ever be.
Carmine went up the stairs and saw a dim light coming from the open door of one of the rooms on the right. He took this room to be the meeting place. The room turned out to be a small library with shelves lined with dust, cobwebs and moldy volumes of forgotten books. The only sources of light in the room were a candelabra with five candles and the full moon seen in the window. Standing before the window with his back to the door was a man in a black suit.
"Good evening, Don Fugo," the gentleman at the window greeted, not turning around. "Thank you for coming."
Carmine nodded. "Thank you very much for agreeing to see me, All For One."
"I thought a man of your reputation deserved an audience," All For One responded, still facing the window. "Criminals like you are becoming a dying breed, after all. So what is it that brings you to my doorstep?"
"Well it's like ya said, guys like me are an endangered species. The reason I'm here is to try and keep us all from going extinct. Ya see a few days ago me and all of the other old relics from around the world had a little summit concerning something happening back in the States. I suppose you heard of the Helios Corporation?"
"Of course. Ah yes, you must be speaking of, what is it called again? The Protectors Initiative?"
Carmine nodded. "Old Ed Helios and his buddy in the U.N., Yukito Akizuki are trying to create some big international team of heroes. They'd be the best of the best and be able to operate anywhere in the world without having to cut through all that B.S. government red tape."
"I know all about the little game Edward Helios is playing," All For One responded with a dismissive wave. "It worries me little."
"Yeah? Well with all due respect, maybe it should worry you a lot more. I mean these guys would be a problem for you too ya know. Now if you're still thinking the U.N.'s not gonna green light putting this group together, those Golden Skull jokers are starting to make them change their tune. I don't know what those boneheads are thinking, but their shenanigans are starting to make people think the world needs an international hero team like the old Whatever League they had in the comics. Now that wouldn't be good for anyone in our line of work."
"So you came to me seeking salvation. You know, I find it interesting that your fellow crime lords didn't come with you to see me."
Carmine went pale and looked away. "Yeah, well…a lot of the other guys thought it was a bad idea to bother you with something like this. But I don't care! The world's coming down around us and I'm the only one who has the guts to try and do something about it!"
"And what is it you want of me?"
"Simple. Take out Edward Helios. I figure if he dies, this initiative of his dies with him."
All For One shook his head, still facing the window. "Or it might only stoke the flames behind his movement. In any event, this problem is of little concern to me. Should this team of Protectors actually be formed, I will simply crush them all if and when they get in my way."
"Yeah? Well ya might be interested to know that they've already started asking heroes to sign up for this team. One of 'em's a guy from right here in Japan who's been making a big splash in the States lately. Calls himself All Might or something."
All For One at last turned his head away from the window and grinned. "All Might, you say?"
Carmine nodded. "Yeah. In fact word is he's in Sunrise City right now meeting with Helios about joining his team."
"Well now, this certainly changes things quite a bit."
"Why? You have some kinda beef with this kid?"
"In a matter of speaking. Let's just say he and I share a special connection."
Carmine shrugged. "Well, whatever motivates ya I guess. So you'll help?"
"Don Fugo, I will ensure that the Protectors never come to be. However, know that my primary goal shall be crushing All Might before he becomes a major problem for me."
"Good enough. I mean one less cape off the street is one less problem for the rest of us. So what do ya have in mind?"
"Come with me."
All For One went over to one of the book cases and pulled on one of the books. Suddenly the entire bookcase moved aside to reveal an elevator door hidden behind it. The doors opened and Carmine followed All For One inside. Once the doors slid shut, the elevator began to descend downward.
Carmine suddenly became nervous and tugged on the collar of his shirt. "So, uh…how far down we goin'?"
All For One smirked. "Far enough down to hide any dirty little secret you can imagine."
For some reason this answer made Carmine even more uneasy. Now that he was alone with All For One and in such close quarters, the mafia don fully understood why the infamous arch villain was so feared. In the light All For One looked average enough, yet he gave off this aura that inspired both intense fear and great awe. Carmine didn't know if this was because of the villain's freakish powers or if it was something else. Either way, the mobster felt like he was riding in an elevator to Hell with the Devil himself.
At last the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. Carmine followed All For One out of the elevator into a long dark hallway. Their footsteps echoed on the tile as they walked. There was no conversation and Carmine was starting to regret reaching out to All For One more and more as time passed. The hallway at last came to an end and the two were standing before a large metal door.
All For One opened up a small panel in the righthand wall built to contain three radio headsets similar to the kind worn by helicopter pilots. Only two of the three headsets were present.
"You might want to put this on," All For One told Carmine as he handed him one of the headsets. "My young apprentice tends to get a little loud when she's training."
Carmine didn't know what All For One meant but put on the headset anyway. He didn't want to do anything to offend his host. All For One opened the door and the two went through. On the other side of the door was a vast circular chamber with a raised floor like a stage and a high ceiling with a single light coming down from above. Carmine got the impression that he was standing in some sort of arena.
Standing in the very center of the arena was a woman with blue-grey skin and a long cord-like tail that ended with a point. She wore a black hoodie with the sleeves torn off. The hoodie was unzipped just enough to show a piece of dark-grey armor covering her chest. Her face was covered by a strange iron skull-like mask with an open mouth containing a wire mesh. There were two holes in the hood she was wearing through which two blue horns protruded. A few strands of black hair also spilled out from the sides of the hood. The woman's arms and legs were bare, and she had on a pair of incredibly short black shorts.
All For One led Carmine over to a short bald and somewhat portly man standing at the arena's edge. He had a bushy brown mustache and wore a white lab coat and a pair of goggles. A tablet was in his hands and he wore the remaining headset that had been out in the hall.
"Don Fugo, I'd like you to meet my associate, Dr. Kyudai Garaki," All For One introduced.
"A pleasure to meet you, sir," Dr. Garaki told Carmine as he shook his hand.
"Likewise," Carmine responded. "So…who's the girl?"
All For One grinned. "The lovely young woman you see on our stage is my protégé, Outcast."
"We were just about to start our next round of training, Master," Dr. Garaki reported.
"Very well. Begin."
Dr. Garaki pressed something on his tablet and two metal doors opened up on the far left side of the arena. Meanwhile blue claws extended from the end of Outcast's fingers and her hands began to spark with electricity. Suddenly two black humanoid robots carrying assault rifles emerged from the open doors and charged onto the arena stage. At the same time Outcast's legs suddenly morphed, each leg gaining a second joint and a large monstrous foot with long thick blue claws. Once on stage, the robots aimed their guns at Outcast and opened fire.
Outcast's arms and legs became covered in thick white boney exoskeleton as she charged right into the gunfire. The bullets simply bounced off the boney carapace and the armor covering Outcast's chest and face. When she got close enough, Outcast's armored hands grew larger and she grabbed onto the heads of both robots. The demon-like villain sent several volts of electricity into the bodies of the robots while also crushing their heads with a single squeeze. Both robots fell to the floor broken, but at the same time a small black drone came down from above.
The drone flew down towards Outcast, but before it could open fire Outcast's tail transformed to have a long curved blade at the end and bony armored plates covering it. Outcast stretched her tail and swung it like a whip, cutting the drone in half with its blade. The remains of the drone exploded before both halves could hit the ground. A third much larger door then opened on the left side of the arena.
Lumbering out of the door was an extremely large black robot with four legs that caused the floor to tremble with each step. Its upper half was more humanoid, with a box-like torso and two blocky arms, each ending with a rocket launcher. The robot had a box-shaped head with a single round red eye on the front. As soon as the mechanical behemoth got onto the arena stage, it fired both of its rocket launchers at Outcast. Outcast flipped backward flew the air as the rockets came towards her.
Both rockets struck the arena floor and exploded, and soon after Outcast landed on her feet and punched the air. The resulting air blast from her fist blew out the flames from the exploded rockets like candles and also cracked the armor of the launcher robot, causing it to exploded. Three more drones came down from above to attack, but Outcast threw her head back and let out an ear-splitting scream. The blast of sound struck all three drones and caused them to explode. With the last of the robots gone, Outcast stood catching her breath.
All For One clapped. "Good! Good! Let your hatred flow through you, my Outcast! Use your rage to destroy all who would stand against you."
Carmine couldn't help but back away a step after seeing Outcast in action. "Just who…what the hell is that thing?"
"Magnificent, isn't she?" Dr. Garaki responded. "She's our greatest masterpiece yet, armed with seven quirks."
"Seven?" Carmine repeated, shocked. "How can that be? I thought people were only born with one quirk each?"
All For One chuckled. "Did you forget about my power, Don Fugo? My quirk allows me to steal the quirks of others and either keep them for myself or bestow them to whomever I see fit. This power has allowed me to customize Outcast into the perfect fighter."
"Outcast's primary quirk is called Demon," Dr. Garaki continued. "This quirk is an evolutionary marvel! It's not simply a power but an enhancement of the human body itself, the type of enhanced hardware I've always said has been needed for the human race. Because of the Demon quirk, Outcast possesses strength and durability far superior to the average human. She also possesses superior endurance and longevity, and can even regenerate minor wounds almost instantly.
"Outcast can even function on only two hours of sleep, allowing her to train and battle for extreme periods of time. She's the perfect vessel to safely house multiple quirks without negative results. Why my research has progressed by leaps and bounds just from studying her!"
"You'll have to forgive the good doctor, Don Fugo," All For One interrupted. "He's brilliant, but like most scientists he can tend to ramble when it comes to his work."
Dr. Garaki cleared his throat. "Anyway, you've seen a few of Outcast's other quirks in action just now as well. One of them is an electrical quirk called Overload, which originally belonged to a hero known as Sergeant Blackout. Outcast can generate electrical energy in her torso and release it through her arms, though she has to be physically touching her target in order to use it effectively. Her next quirk is Metamorphic Limbs, which allows Outcast to change all her limbs, including her tail into almost anything you can imagine, with certain limitations of course.
"Outcast's long-range attacks come in the form of a quirk called Banshee. As the name implies, the quirk allows Outcast to let out a scream powerful enough to shatter a person's skull. Incidentally, the mask she's wearing is a special support item that lets her adjust the pitch and frequency of her screams to inflict different kinds of damage. She also possesses a strength-enhancing quirk that boosts her normal physical strength by about three times, putting her on par with the likes of All Might. I've even trained Outcast to use some of All Might's known ultimate moves using online footage taken from various sources.
"Also at Outcast's disposal are an infrared vision quirk and a quirk that gives her enhanced hearing. In short gentlemen, she has become the ultimate living weapon."
"Doctor, would you say Outcast is ready to go out into the field?" All For One asked.
Dr. Garaki laughed. "I'd say she's more than ready! In fact as she is now, Outcast is All Might's doomsday."
All For One grinned. "To me, Outcast!"
On command, Outcast jumped and flipped through the air, landing on her feet before All For One. She sat before the arch villain like a dog. The mere sight made Carmine's skin crawl. He had to wonder what these two madmen had done to the girl's head on top of also tinkering with her body to make her into some living weapon.
"What is it you wish of me, Master?" Outcast asked in an electronically distorted voice.
"You and Dr. Garaki are taking a trip to America with our friend, Don Fugo," All For One explained. "Specifically to Sunrise City. You're going to help eliminate the Helios Corporation."
Outcast's head jerked up to look at All For One directly. "My father's company?"
"What the hell's she talking about?" Carmine asked.
"Oh. I forgot to mention that Outcast happens to be the illegitimate daughter of Edward Helios," All For One revealed. "Of course the man always treated the poor dear like nothing, so this should make Outcast extra motivated."
Carmine shook his head. "I knew old Ed Helios probably had a few skeletons in his closet, but I never expected anything this freaky! This is gonna be one screwed up family reunion."
"The word is Edward Helios is planning to bring together the best heroes from all over the world to form an elite team," All For One continued. "This would cause great problems for Don Fugo and become a minor irritation for me. You're going to make sure this team never comes to be."
"My brother…is he going to be a part of this team?" Outcast asked.
All For One grinned. "I'm sure he is. From what I've heard, young Kaito Helios, or Sun King has begun making quite a name for himself. No doubt your father intends to make Kaito the leader of this elite team. This is your chance to make them both pay for what they did to you."
Outcast stood up and extended the claws of her hand. "My father and brother…I'm going to rip apart everything they've built…and tear down anyone who gets in my way!"
Author's Note: I hope everyone enjoyed the first chapter, or rather "Episode 1". I'll admit it does seem like it's taking a little while for me to get everything properly set up, but bear with me. We're almost there.
Incidentally, Kaoru/Outcast's Metamorphic Limbs quirk was inspired by Migi from the classic manga, Parasyte. In fact the name of the quirk's original owner was a deliberate riff on the name of Parasyte's protagonist, Shinichi Izumi.
