Chapter 1: The Betrayal

Percy POV

I yawned after a good night's sleep. I was bored and wanted to get out there and have a good fight. After the war with Gaia, the 6/7 were still looking for Leo. We all missed Leo's sarcastic comments and funny remarks.

Anyway, I hopped out of bed brushed my teeth, had a shower and went out for a jog. But then I heard a girly scream. I rushed towards the sound and uncapped Riptide. I found a boy (a year older than him. He was 17) cowering behind the tree and saw three Chimera's releasing fire to the ground. I yelled a battle cry and slashed at the first Chimera and immediately had it turned into golden dust. The second one pounced at him and bit him on my hip when I was distracted. I felt the poison flowing throw my blood after I killed the second one. I threw my sword at the third one's mouth, instantly killing it. I fell over unconscious.

Annabeth POV

I woke up hearing a scream. I quickly put on my jumper and ran toward Thalia's tree. There was a crowd forming. Percy lying down unconscious, and a boy was holding Riptide.

"I killed those 3 ugly lion things. And this guy panicked, and they bit him," yelled the boy.

The crowd gasped and I walked forward and asked, "What's your name?"

The boy's jaws dropped.

"R-Ryan Th-Thompson," he stammered.

I nodded and yelled, "Healers, get Percy to the infirmary!"

"Come on you need to see Chiron," I said running of to the Big House.

Ryan nodded and followed.

Chiron was standing next to Mr D and was talking rapidly in Greek. All I got was 'traitor'.

"Chiron," Chiron turned around and saw the new kid, Ryan.

"Ah, you must be Ryan," he said, "Do you know about the Greek Gods?"

"Yeah. Zeus, Hera, Apollo." He said.

I got to say, I'm impressed with him, even Seaweed Brain wasn't that clever. Speaking of Percy, I am getting quite bored of him. He is SOOOOO annoying! Anyway, I got my eye on Ryan. I feel like breaking up with Percy.

"Chiron. You said something about traitor. Who's the traitor?" I asked suddenly.

"Percy Jackson," said Chiron sadly.

Percy POV

I woke up in the infirmary. Then my Wise Girl came in.

"Hey Wise-"

She slapped me. She slapped ME! My head snapped to the side.

"SO SPILL THE BEANS YOU LITTLE SNAKE! YOU WERE WORKING FOR GAIA AND YOU KNOW IT!"

Wait, what!

"THEN YOU LEFT THAT CUTE HALF-BLOOD FIGHTING THOSE THREE CHIMERAS WHILE YOU FAINTED! YOU ARE A WIMP AND COWARD!"

Wow. Her words hurt. Remember when Athena told me that a fatal flaw is dangerous. It isn't really at all. I conquered my fatal flaw so I felt no worries about hurting Annabeth. Wait one second, did she call that demigod cute while she's dating me!?

I slowly turned towards her and she flinched under my gaze.

"Shut up, you cheat," I said coldly.

"What would make me cheat on you? Oh. Maybe cheating on me with Rachel!" she said harshly.

"Who said that!?" I said angrily.

"Ryan the guy you 'saved'!" she said.

I walked out.

"Hey. Come back here. I'm not done with you!" she sneered.

I swore at her and left her fuming.

I stormed pass Clarisse and her group of cronies but they stopped me.

"Well if it ain't the traitor," she said and she threw her spear at me. I caught it on instinct and threw it back at her. She would've been dead meat if she wasn't wearing armor. The other campers saw this and chased me out of the camp, yelling foul and hurtful things.

"REMEMBER CAMP HALF BLOOD, WHEN YOU TRULY NEED ME I WON'T BE THERE!"

I stormed of, feeling hatred for the camp and wishing some unknown deity to destroy it.
