Hello everyone! This is my first story on Honkai Impact 3rd. There will be some changes to the story and a slight AU, as the Honkai wiki does not provide enough lore material. So expect some changes, since I want to add some of my own twists and turns.
Before I start with the story, it will feature an OC along with a harem pairing of four girls, as writing a harem will be too difficult and will clash with my story I planned. So, I hope you guys enjoy my first story here.

Prologue: St Freya Academy
St Freya Academy, where talented students join there for the purpose of becoming an Valkyrie and protecting the world against the threats of Honkai. Each of the Valkyries are given the knowledge of Honkai beasts and the ways to combat them, they are also provided training and tests for the Honkai to Improve their skills to become the best of themselves.
However, there was a single mysterious boy. Who would prove himself that being smarter and having wits to handle challenges is better than having the physical strength. And his story is about to begin, in the strange world of Honkai Impact.
- Outside of St Freya Academy, Morning –-
It was a bright and sunny day, with many aspiring female Valkyries desiring to be Stronger to protect Humanity from the threats of Honkai. However, A boy could be seen walking towards the school building, ready to make an impression towards his classmates, despite being nervous about it.
'I wonder how am I going to survive? After all, it's filled with women around here.' The boy in general, doubted his survival on his academy, as he lacked the physical strength of typical Valkyrie. Yet, one thing which made him different from other Valkyries, is his intellect. He scored perfect marks on his entrance exam tests to St Freya Academy, which made many people wonder on how could he achieve something like that.
The boy in general, had a raven hair and had an average yet skinny build. He wore a Black T-Shirt along with blue jeans and shoes. He had dark circles around his eyes, signifying the lack of sleep. He was walking towards the school building. Many Valkyries were staring at him, his looks and the posture he was giving off, he was giving off an aura of someone who was socially awkward.
He kept getting stares from the girls around him, as he could feel his anxiety building up. But, as he was taught, he decided to keep his emotions in check and continued towards the school building.
As he walked towards the School Building. He saw a Blonde-haired man, with a purple coat. He had the looks of someone who was quite charming and kind. But, he was known to be quite mysterious and intelligent. That man, was none other than Otto Apocalypse. Leader of the Schicksal organization and the Headmaster of the St Freya Academy. (A/N: It will all be explained in due time)
Otto found the boy quite intriguing, as he took one careful look at the boy approaching him. He smiled in delight, as he wanted to meet the mysterious boy in question, who lacked the physical capabilities of a Valkyrie. Yet, he managed to score perfect marks on the entrance exams along with practical knowledge of Honkai.
For Otto to be interested in the boy, it was quite a remarkable feat, as the entrance exams were known to be very difficult to crack. Yet the boy, right here proved him wrong, he wanted to learn more about him and possibly, even use him for his plans.
"Are you the new student, Mirai Shinikami?" Otto asked him in an tone filled with curiosity yet he masked his expressions, as he wanted to learn more about the boy.
Mirai simply stopped on his tracks and looked towards the Blonde haired man. He knew about Otto Apocalypse, his involvement on the Schicksal Organization and his 'Plans'. He was given information, thanks to a certain someone working discreetly as a spy there.
Mirai truly wanted to lash at him, but he kept his emotions in check, as he decided to play along with the events. After all, it was now going to be a battle of wits between the two.
"Indeed so. Sir Apocalypse. What brings you to meet me here on my first day?" He kept his composure yet his tone was blank, as he wanted to get a read of the situation on why would Otto be the man to approach him. He decided to form possibilities in his mind, making each plan in a second to handle the conversation between both of them.
Otto, who is always known to be cunning and charismatic, chose his next set of words, which would catch Mirai off-guard. He wanted to see how truly intelligent the Boy really is, as he can see the dangerous intellect by looking at him.
"Have you truly wondered about your real parents?... Where have they truly gone to?..." Otto asked the Boy, hiding the smirk deep inside to see how would he handle the situation. He wanted to bring his emotions out, so he could get a checkmate.
But to Otto's Surprise, Mirai proved him wrong with his ability to think quickly under pressure. He anticipated that Otto might try to get a jab at his emotions, to see his vulnerability and crack the code. He prepared for the situation, as he kept a blank look.
"Indeed I do. My parents, have gone on a long trip overseas, for the purpose of conducting their business with their clients. So, because of that, I am able to remain independent and I am grateful for their actions." He replied to Otto, each wording and tone, sounding as if it was a complete truth, there was no holes from the answer he gave to him.
Otto kept his composure, while inwardly he was a bit surprised that he was able to handle an emotional question thrown at him. He could tell that the boy, was quite unstable with his emotions. Yet, he kept it in check. He smiled on the inside, as he felt that he now has a true challenge in front of him.
"Hmm that's quite interesting. So tell me, why did you consider Joining St Freya Academy? Despite not having the strength of the other Valkyries around here." Otto took another jab, this time towards Mirai's Physical Strength. He knew that Mirai does not have the physical capabilities of a Valkyrie and won't last much longer in Physical battles.
"Isn't it obvious? I might not have the strength of the other Valkyries around me. But, with my intellect, I can help and research more into their strengths and weaknesses. Which would be enough to be here." Mirai answered to another one of his 'Jabs', knowing that Otto is trying to get under his skin and use it to his advantage. He still maintained his calm and collected composure, while observing Otto's reactions and anticipating his next move.
Otto was impressed by his answers so far, he couldn't get under Mirai's nerves nor was he able to make him succumb to his vulnerabilities. He seemed to be very prepared and expected such outcomes. Otto couldn't help, but think of a way to get him by his side and eventually use him for his plans.
"It was a pleasure talking to you Sir. But I am afraid, that I am running out of my time and I still have to find my dorm room" He told Otto, as he could not afford to waste any more time. He also had classes to attend.
They both walked towards their separate ways, as Mirai stopped entering the school building and looked at Otto, who was on his way.
'Otto Apocalypse. I can foresee your plans on using me. But, the real game has just begun.' Mirai thought about it, as he is confident that he can take on Otto Apocalypse and his plans. After all, he has kept his fair share of secrets, not even Otto himself was aware of.
- St Freya Academy's, Morning -
Mirai looked around the academy's corridors, they were beautifully designed and had several paintings hanging around, each painting depicted the history of Greatest Valkyries. He saw one painting, which looked odd.
As he inspected the painting carefully, the painting showed a little silver haired girl wearing a nun's clothes, holding a huge cross-shaped weapon. By looking at the weapon, he deduced that it was a very powerful weapon. He also looked at the little girl in the painting very carefully, noting down her facial features and it's every last detail.
'Why do I feel that this face looks very familiar?' He thought about it carefully, as he tried to think about various possibilities. However, his train of thoughts were interrupted.
"Hey you there! You are a new student here, aren't you?!" A child like female voice yelled at Mirai, as he turned around and looked towards the source of the said voice.
He saw that the person who asked him this was none other than the said person from the painting. She looked exact the same, except she wasn't holding any weapons. She did look like a child and anyone would mistake her as a Loli.
"Apologies Ma'am, I was just admiring the paintings around here" He replied to her in a sincere tone, as he got a feeling that it would be wise if he did not get into her bad side at first place.
"Hmph! As I expected, you have been staring into my painting for quite some time" She replied back to him in a smug tone, huffing herself and showing some kind of pride in herself. Mirai couldn't help but sigh at her and at the same time, admit that she was quite annoying but nonetheless he kept his composure.
"So who might you be? Are you by chance a Teacher here?" He asked her, as he wanted to know who that person truly is. He had a feeling that this person would play a huge role in all this.
"Hmmm?~ I am glad you asked! I am Theresa Apocalypse and Yes, one of the Teachers here Teriri~" She replied to his question smugly. Mirai widened his eyes a bit, as he realized that by hearing her last name, she is somehow related to Otto.
He also remembered the pictures he got from his spy a few days ago. He remembered the pictures of Kallen Kaslana. Both Kallen and this Theresa girl look very similar to each other, he is trying to come up with various possibilities, with only one possibility.
'Kallen… Theresa….. Don't tell me, is Otto again involved in-'. He almost finished connecting the train of thoughts, until Theresa was annoyed by him spacing out.
"Hey! You have been spacing out for quite some time!" She huffed at him again, being annoyed at Mirai.
"Oh apologies. But, it seems I am wasting more of my time. I have to go now" He informed her, as he felt it was his time to leave and they both said goodbye to each other, as they both walked away from their separate places.
Mirai couldn't help but wonder one thing, which has been going on in his mind since he has gotten the information till the time he stepped foot on the academy.
'Otto Apocalypse, how messed up are you to reach your goals?...' He kept pondering about this question, as he is aware about his real purpose on joining the academy to stop his plans.
And that Wraps up the Prologue of the Story. Apologies for the fact that it is shorter, but I assure that next chapters will be a bit longer.
