So basically Copper and Wally are in the Secret of NIMH, here Copper will find someone to play a Role he doesn't know he needs in his life. Though Wally is technically an Older Brother figure, even though he is his Familiar. But he will find what he needs, here which may end in tragedy. No Animals were...Oh, well I not in this chapter, will be harmed. So I do not own, DC, Pokemon nor the Secret of NIMH. But enjoy.

Chapter 1: What a Mousey situation as sweet as a Rose.

Third Person POV

In a mysterious location an image appeared in a Crystal Ball Machine, of a Boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, Caucasian and a decent build for a ten-year-old, wearing a Black shirt, Red sleeves and collar, Olive Cargo, ankle socks and gray, orange and white slip on shoes, a blue backpack with a Pikachu on his shoulders the Pikachu in question had a pair of red goggles and a red Flash neckerchief. They were walking home from school. " Soon my boy very soon the one you seek will soon find you." Said a wise and kind voice.

Copper...

"...And that is when I gave them a taste of their own medicine." Copper told his Familiar.

' Must've been oh so satisfying.' Wally said.

" Oh it was my friend." Copper said. " It so was."

' Bruh, I can tell it was.' Wally said. 'I could feel your satisfaction.'

" Fair enough bro." Copper said. " I just wish we found a family, Wally." He said. " But at least I'm not alone in the system now." He said.

Unknown location...

" And indeed you shall find the family you seek my boy, you and your little friend?" Said the figure. " Well the closest thing to a father at least." He created a circle with his finger. " Creare ostium ex mundo ad meum!" He recited as a Portal appeared under Copper's feet and he and Wally fell clean through.

" Justin will you go on patrol today?" The figure asked. " There are two individuals I would like you to pick up before Dragon finds them and House them in your dorm please?"

A pair of glowing eyes. Lowered and left.

Outside a Tall, slender dark brown rat a tan muzzle save for the top of it and black eyes wearing a long sleeved white shirt a blue sweater vest found a small blonde and tan, unconscious mouse no older than ten wearing a Black shirt, Red sleeves and collar and olive shorts, the latter was unusual in the fact that alot of the animals who wore clothes didn't wear pants. Next to him was an unusual rodent of some kind, it was yellow but small and wore a red Neckerchief with a yellow Lightning Bolt, and some red goggles. By instinct the Rat placed the Yellow Rodent on the boy picked the up and took them back to the Rosebush.

Copper began to groan as a wet cloth was pressed against his forehead. As his eyes opened his vision was partially blurred but refocused as the rat came into view. " Oh you're awake." The Rat sighed with relief. " What's your name?"

" Copper, W, Where am I?" Copper asked. " Where's Wally? Who are you, Why am I here and for that matter inversely how did I get here?" A paw shit his muzzle.

" In precisely that order, you're in the Rosebush." The Rat said. " And if Wally is that yellow creature with you he's resting on my couch waiting for you he's been worried about you, My name is Justin Captain of The Guards, your here because my leader told me to fetch the both of you and you two are confined to my dorm until otherwise orders are given." He said.

The Rat took notice of the saddened look on the Mousling's face. " Oh Sweet Boy, I'm sorry I don't want to keep you locked up." Justin said softly and sympathetically looked at him. " I will try to talk to my leader and try to allow you to let you walk free." he said stroking Copper's face. The Mousling though unaware of his current form just hugged the Rat around the waist as Justin embraced him too. " I promise I will protect you." He promised. He couldn't explain it but already he felt an attachment to the boy. " In the meantime stay right here, alright?" He said. Justin let go and left the Dorm.

" We're stuck Wally." Copper said. picking his Familiar up and petting him.

' Uh Copper have you looked in a mirror?' Wally asked.

Copper gave him a curious look walked over to the Bathroom and saw his reflection. " WHO TURNED ME INTO A MOUSE!" He yelled.

' Hey calm down, Little Bro.' Wally assured. ' You look adorable.'

" I guess so." Copper said. " But there' something about Justin that feels right, like something that the other foster parents I've met don't have." He said.

' You mean like how people find true love?' Wally asked.

" Yeah, only more like..." He paused. "...I found the one meant to be my Dad." He said.

' Like an instinct?' Wally asked.

Meanwhile...

Justin went to Nicodemus. " You want the boy to have a normal experience." Nicodemus said.

" How you know what I'm thinking always scares me, Nicodemus." Justin said. " But yes, I can't explain but there' something about him I just met him yet I feel a strong Paternal instinct."

" Perhaps you were meant to find one another." Nicodemus suggested. Really he knew that it was inevitable that Justin found Copper. " He and his little friend may only leave your apartment as long as he stays by your side." The old Rat said.

Justin bowed and left.

So there you have it, Chapter 1 of My first mostly stand alone Secret of NIMH Story there is more to Copper and Justin's bond but we will see what it is in time and Jenner will try to drive a Wedge between the two and we'll see Sullivan's dark side. So that wraps up chapter 1.
