Chapter 3
Barely two days go by.
Sukuna has been observing Yua from a distance, but realizing that the main concern and problem she is facing is that of her children.
That's his fault since he brewed the tea and had twins the second time around. He didn't take into factor Shin, who is still an infant and needs just as much care as the twins.
"I should have considered that, but instead, I was too preoccupied with the notion of more Toorus, the better…"
But how to adjust this?
Yua has been doing most of the work, Suguru has even stepped up to help, Gojo… is rather useless. "The brat and knock off tend to their children better than him…" he muttered. The problem was that the children are too young to be tended to all at once.
BUT…
He smiled, nearly forgetting this jujutsu placed into the domain. It was a last ditch, only to use if desperate circumstances.
Those times are behind them now, but that jujutsu is still in the ground and can be called upon. Perhaps it is time to do so!
#
It was kept hidden for a reason, after all, not everyone should know about this technique. Even the Tooru family was against this until he gave a good enough reason to place it into the domain. But, he needs to find the trigger for it.
All around the domain there are various defenses and jujutsu infused into the stone, and they have held for this long.
The technique and curse energy of this family was always on a different level.
But now, it was time to unleash one of them.
In the Northwest forest of the domain, Sukuna found the key. It was a odd rock hidden among the cliff side, but it stuck out like a sore thumb. He triggered the activation when he used his own curse energy, making it more visible before his eyes and alerting him of its location.
It was still working.
"Had the Toorus sealed me, I never would have been unleashed in this world again… I wonder if the council at the time knew… or they themselves knew they could but… didn't…" he never thought of it until now. Did the Tooru family purposely let him live in hopes of saving him?
He won't get any answers now, all he can do is press on.
With the key found, Sukuna smirked as he took the rock out of the hiding place. "Ah, the desperate measure if needed… It's not needed any more but it will still be of use… now then, let's get started…" he crushed the rock in his hand, unleashing the curse energy within…
#
It was like a shock wave.
Satoru was the first to notice it instantly, despite being in Kyoto with Suguru for the moment. "What the hell…"
Suguru even paused. "I felt that, but that's not usual curse energy…"
"No shit…"
"Are we nearly done here? I think we got enough baby stuff to last until they are eight!" Suguru protested.
It was Gojo's idea to load up on some supplies and new baby items. At the same time he has been trying to find something nice for Yua. "We still need something for the Mrs." He said offhandedly.
"Don't you think Yua would want you home to HELP with the kids more than just buying for them?" Suguru asked. "I mean the other night, you have to admit. Uba had a point. How many times has she eaten a cold meal since she had to get the kids fed?"
"She never complained to me about it!"
"It's obvious unless you're a clueless asshole!"
"HEY!"
"Seriously!" Suguru protested. "I've even changed out her meal from time to time, you haven't done so."
Gojo paused oddly, he was right wasn't he?
He sighed with defeat and nodded. "Look, it's all still… scary for me. Okay, I did my best with Megumi and I don't even think he respects me, at the same time… am I really cut out for this?"
Suguru froze oddly as he peered over at him. "Are you even hearing yourself?! You have had three kids with this woman and NOW you are second guessing it all?" he sighed aloud but then shook his head. "Well… this just proves it, you're not the strongest!"
"HEY!"
"Seriously, after everything she has been through, what she has endured… for YOU and YOUR kids…"
"I didn't think you would be so against me on this!" Gojo snapped back. "Look, I would never do anything to hurt Yua or my kids, I am not going to give up on this either. I have come this far at the same time, I don't know what the hell I should be doing!"
Suguru sighed. "You stay home, you help raise your children or you are going to have another incident where they got to Uba over you again…"
That… hit him rather hard.
He was still hurt the day Shin rolled himself to Sukuna after Yua told him to 'go to daddy'. He saw the King of Curses more like a father than Gojo who IS his father.
"Have you even stopped thinking about how strong you are as a sorcerer compared to how weak you are as a father?"
"Kick me while I'm down huh? Nice, Geto…"
His friend snickered. "Come on, you know I use to hassle you like this all the time, but the fact remains… Yua is a special woman, so special that Sukuna hunted down her clan, no one in jujutsu society will listen to her despite the fact she has the power to make them…" he paused oddly. "I could only wonder, if her clan survived… perhaps I may not have gone down the path that I did…"
Gojo froze oddly. "Why bring that up!?" he demanded.
"Because, a part of me is thinking, if her clan had survived, they would have influence, no doubt they would have interfered in the events that shaped us. The star plasma vessel for one, they would have stepped in to help, wouldn't they?"
Gojo didn't know for certain, but it would have been interesting. But there were so many factors to take in, for example, Toji. If Toji had been sold to the Tooru family, would he have gone rogue and interfered? Would someone else have?
There were too many things to think about to consider the notion. However, Gojo knew he has to step up now more than ever. "I better… figure out how to be a better father…"
"Start by being a better husband."
"Will you shut up already!"
