The one where Itachi and Ino are exiled from Konoha as traitors and they get their revenge.

Uchiha Itachi was the nefarious devil in their world, and Ino couldn't believe that she was currently sitting before the devil and sipping on some tea, with a plate of dango sticks before her. 'This was the Devil King?' she mused, as her inquisitive eyes took in his piercing gaze. Those onyx eyes had such an intensity for the face that held a stoic expression, and Ino was intimidated by his presence. "What business does the heiress of the Yamanaka clan have to seek an audience with me?" his pitch was deep and low but his tone resonant and commanding. The cup she was holding trembled along with her hands; she had of course known all about him, but she had never seen Uchiha Itachi before, and she didn't expect that he would be so… DAMN GORGEOUS! It had completely thrown her off her reason for seeking him out.

The previous Uchiha heir had his title revoked then was exiled long ago when he was merely 13 years of age by the Hokage, after he had killed one of Konoha's village elders, Danzo Shimura. Many believed that the Sandaime had been too lenient and should have sentenced the disgraced Uchiha heir apparent to death. Perhaps they had been correct in their belief as well, because since his exile, Itachi had only added to his repertoire for being a notorious and dangerous shinobi.

He had gathered a group of followers who call themselves 'Akuma' in honour of his moniker, Devil King. The Akuma has but one ambition and that was to end the life of those who have brought upon themselves the wrath of their Devil King. Itachi and his band of followers have taken down many renowned shinobi from countries all over, and so the Hokage had finally been persuaded to include the Devil King in the bingo book as an S-Class threat.

So, how did Ino end up before the Devil King, you ask? Well… to make a long story short, Ino was disinherited and exiled from the village after her plans to stage the assassination of the Hokage had been unfoiled. Which if anyone had actual eyes, they could see that no way someone as cute and innocent looking as her could ever do! She was framed! Ugh, and she knows exactly who framed her for this heinous crime.

Ino recomposed herself, if she was to get her revenge and clear her name, then she needed to appear confident in the presence of the Devil King. Her countenance had turned grave and with an assertive tone she claimed, "I know the truth about what happened 8 years ago".

Okay, so she didn't exactly expect him to gasp with his hand clutching his chest or anything exaggerated like that, but this guy didn't react at all… "I said I know the truth" she repeated again with an arched eyebrow, and he responded nonchalantly, "I heard you the first time." with his stoic expression remaining intact. 'What's with this guy?' she mused. Maybe he doesn't know what truth she referred to, so she discerned it was best to elaborate so she can be sure they were both on the same page. "Danzo was the one who tried to kill you, and you only ended his life out of self-defence!" she exclaimed. 'Wow… still nothing?' she mused again as the Devil King remained stoic. Unable to remain patient with his lack of reaction, Ino barked out "Why aren't you happy that someone finally learned the truth about you?! You can finally clear your name!"

"Clear my name? so is this your reason for seeking me out? You have troubled yourself for nothing then. We are done here. You may leave while you still can." his nonchalant tone was beginning to irritate her. He got up and started to walk away, and so Ino finally revealed her real reason for approaching him in the first place. She figured if someone would help her clear her name then it would be someone who had met a similar fate to hers, and so she revealed, "I was exiled too. I was framed for planning the Hokage's assassination by the man who now runs Danzo's underground organization." Itachi continued to walk away, and so she tried again, "I came to request your help in taking them down."

"Your request is denied. Now leave." He responded with finality without turning to meet her gaze, and soon he was out of sight.

"Ugh! What is up with this jerk?!" she growled in irritation. Why was he refusing this chance to clear his name? He was wronged just as much as she was. She stared blankly at where the Devil King had walked out from, until approaching footsteps shook her back to reality. She spun her head to find the man who had escorted her to Itachi standing over her shoulder, "What did you expect would happen? Surely you didn't expect the Devil King to jump at the chance to fight beside the little damsel in distress."

Kisame Hoshigake, the rogue from Kiri and the Devil King's chief aid. He's the second most formidable shinobi just after Itachi, although he definitely doesn't come anywhere close to the Devil King in the looks department. This guy looked just as unsightly as his reputation was terrible, but similar to Itachi, he too was intimidating. However, Ino wasn't going to allow this other jerk to dismiss her as a little damsel. "Then what does Fish-face Hoshigake suggest I do to get back at those bastards who framed me?" the scowl on her face matched her assertive tone. The look on fish-face told her he didn't expect her to be so insolent towards him. Good, she shocked him, and he shouldn't underestimate her anyway. She wasn't weak, and definitely wasn't one to just simply give up. "BAHAHAHA" he bellowed and wiped off a non-existent tear as his guffaws quieted to a chuckle. His face morphed into a sinister countenance as it came closer to her own, "For a start, it's in your best interest not to slight someone who could end your life before you take your next breath." He threatened. Ino didn't avert her gaze, nor did she blink. Instead, her scowl deepened as she inquired, "And secondly?".

His sinister grin widened on one side of his face, and he let its intensity linger for a moment before answering her question, "Secondly, you need to make more reasonable requests." as he backed away to leave the room. Okay, that one stunned her. What exactly does that mean? His statement left her confused, and she barked the inquiry on her mind at him, "What exactly would be a reasonable request?!"

She didn't expect him to answer her, but he did, and it was a rather vague answer, "The Devil King follows no one. It is we who follow him." And with that, Fish-face was out of the room. 'AND JUST WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!'

Ino had somehow found them at every hideout they had moved to across country. "She's becoming quite the nuisance, just how is she always finding us?" Konan questioned. "Lord Itachi, please allow me to rid us of this insolent girl" Nagato requested, but Kakuzu interjected, "Let me do it, I'll make her squeal and beg for her end to come". "Hah! When did you ever take your time slicing someone open? Let me do it, Jashin will enjoy that pretty sacrifice." Hidan added. "Enough" the Devil King ordered, and silence returned once more to the room where they had convened.

"There's something to say about her tracking abilities. I suggest we let her join us instead." Sasori broke the silence with his recommendation, and several howls and guffaws followed. "You're joking!" Hidan was rolling on the floor. Sasori scowled at the reactions he received and questioned, "What exactly is wrong with that suggestion?" and Orochimaru had finally spoken, explaining, "well, for one she looks harmless in contrast to ourselves-" Kakuzu interjected with a brief elaboration, "She's blonde". "I'm blond too" Deidara stated matter-of-factly. "I rest my case" Kakuzu sneered. "Are you implying that I'm harmless you SOB?" the blond Akuma growled. "You'd think that was obvious, but it seems you are mentally handicapped as well." Kakuzu jabbed at Deidara once more, who was now fuming and turning red in the face as he barked, "YOU WANNA GO YOU BASTARD?! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT MY HARMLESS ART WILL DO TO YOU! I'LL REDUCE YOU TO ASH, YOU MISERABLE ZOMBIE FOSSIL!"

"Why don't you leave his body and step inside" Itachi directed, and everyone around him appeared confused until he lifted his head to meet Sasori's gaze. Within moments they all had alarmed expressions when Sasori's head suddenly hit the table they were seated on. He was unconscious, and the blonde in question had now appeared before them. "You have managed to deceive everyone here, so I will accept your suggestion. You may join us." The Devil King proclaimed. Ino's eyes widened in disbelief, "Seriously? You're not messing with me, right?" she questioned him, and provoking him apparently as red eyes now met her own. He emphatically stated, "Do I give the impression that I am someone who jests?" it was rhetorical. A shiver had crept up her spine, man was he intimidating, "No, not at all." She waved her palms frantically, "I just didn't think you'd actually agree to let me join you. I'm surprised that's all."

"Why don't you can it now blondie and take a damn seat." Kisame instructed her behind that infamous sinister smile that never seems to leave his fish-face.

The meeting reconvened the moment Ino had taken her seat right between Kisame and Kakuzu, which sucked because between fish guy and the corpse, she couldn't discern which BO was going to be the death of her.

She was surprised to learn that all this time renowned shinobi who had been known to be their villages' heroes, were despicable bastards who committed unspeakable and heinous crimes. Those were whom the Akuma had targeted, shinobi who had added to the suffering in the world in which they had lived. 'Wow, who would have thought? The Akuma are actually the good guys!' well that was what she thought until the Devil King called her to his private quarters to speak.

She knocked on his door, and he immediately answered, "Enter". Itachi was scribbling something on a scroll, he hadn't looked up to acknowledge her presence, and the silence lingered for a while making her feel more apprehensive. Eventually, she had enough of the uncomfortable atmosphere, so she stated, "You asked to speak with me." He continued to scribe on his scroll for a few more seconds before he informed her, "Do not misconstrue our actions as those of valiant outlaws seeking to rectify an impudent world. We are far from that ideal."

Ino appeared to be puzzled because everything she learned about them suggests otherwise. "Taking out criminals doesn't exactly suggest that you're villains either. Maybe you should change your approach then." She retorted.

He met her gaze now, and the chills they sent to her bones were making her knees weak. 'How does he do that?!' this guy was really intimidating… but damn was he beautiful. "You misunderstand. While it is true that they had committed unspeakable crimes, my reason for ending their lives comes down to weakening their countries' defences."

"Huh?" her puzzled expression returned.

"This world is forsaken, and I plan to end it. The Kage exploit those who are weak, and the shinobi system has been designed for this as well. I will end this system and those within it once and for all. Had you indeed schemed to assassinate the Hokage, then you would not have been wrong to do so. You see, it was he who commanded the ROOT organization that Danzo had established. That being said, Danzo was still a terrible foe and I have done this world a favour by ridding it of him. The Sandaime was aware of all his scheming and had himself ordered the extermination of many innocent lives. You were no doubt framed for discovering the truth about me, am I correct?"

Ino was stunned and her mind now in turmoil. The Hokage was in on it all? She acquiesced to nod in response to his question. "You were exiled to prevent you from learning anything further about the higherups and their evil deeds. I wouldn't be surprised if this was all orchestrated by the Hokage himself." He elaborated.

Ino was looking more frantic at learning all this. 'Is this… all true?' she wondered, but why would Itachi lie? She had discovered the truth about him after all and believes in his innocence. This whole time she was living in a massive lie. He approached her, and reached out for her chin to lift her head up so she meets his gaze. Each time his eyes would meet her own, it would affect parts of her body, and this time her churning stomach was the victim of those piercing onyx eyes. She knew she wouldn't be so affected by his gaze had he been significantly less appealing, but Itachi was as sexy as they came. "I will end this world, Ino." He stated with a soft assertion. His voice was melodic and lascivious to her ears. Her knees were weakening even more than they had before. "I believe I have sufficiently clarified that we are villainous as well. With that said, this is your final chance to walk away, and I will ensure your life is spared." He offered.

Ino was lost in his gaze, and her mind had fought to process his words. She could leave right now, and she would live. Forsake her vengeance and leave it to them to rid this world of this horrendous system. That would be the wise choice, and she had a feeling it was the choice he was pushing for her to take. But… then she wouldn't see him again or get the chance to be by the Devil King's side, and she desperately wanted to stay by his side.

Her eyes told him that her mind was now resolved, and his eyes shifted onto her lips, awaiting the words she would utter. Suddenly the air surrounding them felt more intense than it had already been. Still, she mustered the strength to speak her decision to him, "I will contribute in any way I can to help you achieve this ambition." Her hand instinctively reached out and she softly hooked her pinkie around his. The action caused him to avert his gaze momentarily to their hands before meeting her eyes again. He did not expect her to make this choice, and he could say with certainty she had been the first to succeed in surprising him.

In her eyes he now found a new flare that had exuded a sinister charm of their own. "Well, my Devil King. Let's end this world." Ino's velvety voice started something inside him. Something new he hadn't experienced before and something he did not quite understand. She was a fascinating enigma to him; a mystery that piqued his curiosity which he had to unravel. Starting with answering why it pleased him immensely when she called him 'My Devil King'.
