Chapter 5
They returned.
Satoru paused as he peered about, he could still sense the odd jujutsu that was casted, and yet… why is there so much Tooru energy in it? "You still see it?" Suguru asked. "I admit, I don't sense anything anymore."
"Yeah, it's all over the place, but, the energy here is acting strange, it's… slow." He said oddly enough.
"Slow?"
"Slow, as in slowly activating, it's being… careful," this only confused Satoru even more. The energy was casted all over the domain, and yet not one really seemed to notice it.
If anything, to his eyes, it looked like snow.
It was on the buildings, but mainly it was drawn to the people. If someone walked by, like a magnet, the curse energy would be drawn and bounded to them. Yet… nothing happened.
He couldn't make sense of this jujutsu, after all, he's never seen anything like it before!
Yet, as he peered about, he found Toshi out with Syrax, however she kept brushing her hand over his shoulder, trying to clear something off of it. Curious, Gojo approached. "You see it too?" he asked.
Syrax nodded. "I haven't seen jujutsu like this, but this is an old technique, it's not even used or founded by modern sorcerers." She explained.
Toshi was impressed. "How do you know that?" he asked curiously.
"When a dragon is on earth, we are able to see jujutsus differently, as well, the history of it comes naturally. I've many have been trapped in the heavenly realm, but mother's knowledge finds its way to me. And this is an old jujutsu, I can tell by the energy and how it is used." She explained.
"Do you know why it's doing this? I see it as a thin layer of snow on the ground. But it's attracted to certain people…" he looked about once more but found something odd.
None of the children are covered in this.
Those within the domain have a thin layer of this jujutsu on their person, even himself at the moment. Yet, there is nothing on the children. It didn't seem right to him.
"I don't know myself, but I think this is a delayed reaction…" Syrax said offhandedly. "Hmmm, but it's also really old, it may not carry the same impact as before…"
Satoru nodded. He will keep a close eye on this, but for now, it would be best to see how Yua is doing with the kids…
#
He found her trying to nap on the couch, but the kids were screaming once more. "Ugh… again…" she muttered. Yet, as she eased herself up, Gojo rushed to the children first. Shin was cranky, Mochi needed to be changed and Rook was hungry.
That kid certainly can eat!
He brought Rook to Yua. "You take care of him, I got thing one and two." He said.
She was stunned but nodded.
As Rook was getting his fill, he took Mochi and made sure she got changed and was comfortable again. He then tended to Shin who just wanted attention. Yua came back into the baby room with Rook who was passed out. She placed him in the crib before yawning aloud herself. "I need to sleep."
"Then go to bed." Gojo insisted.
"Satoru… you're never around to help, how do I know you aren't just going to wonder out again? You never told me where you were going this morning…"
He paused, he never does tell Yua when he comes and goes, he just… leaves on his own and expects her to know he is gone…
Suguru is right.
"Actually, I've already gone out for today and I think I had my fill of the city for the time being. You go to our room and sleep as much as you want, if I need help, I'll call Suguru."
She appeared hesitant.
"Then let me do one other thing…" he placed Shin down after comforting him, he wondered outside to where Toshi and Syrax still lingered but waved them over. "You still got a guest room?" he asked offhandedly.
"Of course," Toshi said.
"Then please, let Yua borrow it to sleep. She needs her rest but I don't want the kids to wake her, is that okay?"
He was shocked but nodded. Toshi was gracious enough to escort Yua back to the Curse womb estate, from there, Gojo stepped up and did his fatherly duties for the day!
And yes, he called Suguru over MANY times to help out…
