Grillby took Frisk to church since they asked. He felt odd being the only monster in attendance, and the priest was glaring at him.
Frisk was in Sunday school where the teacher gave a lesson on souls. "When a soul is destroyed, afterlife isn't given to the people whose soul it was." "Ms, what about the children the monsters killed?" "The monsters denied them heaven, dear." "So they're in hell?" "Yes, due to no fault of their own. Hopefully God punishes the monsters." Frisk was upset when her class agreed, but kept her straight face. Didn't God forgive all sins?
After church Grillby gathered Frisk and hurried them out of the church. Grillby had to listen to a very concerning speech about the monsters.
"Monsters are spirits of the devil. They are here to destroy every soul." Everyone looked at Grillby, "As evidenced by the humans missing their souls." The priest slammed their hands on the pulpit, "They kept these souls in jars, denying the humans the afterlife." The priest then glared at Grillby, "And this man helped manipulate a young child into destroying any chance they had at heaven.
All for what?" The priest got louder, "Freedom, the monsters obviously didn't deserve, as evidenced by their carelessness in regard to human souls!"
Grillby didn't know what Frisk heard either, but he wasn't going to let the church make a child upset for helping people. Frisk did a good thing, all things considered, and they didn't need to be punished for it.
