The Eternal Mother: A Tale of Love and Loss in Another World - Chapter 5
The next day, Kurt woke up still on Eri's bed after what happened yesterday. With his head still as sleepy, he couldn't quite figure out what happened yesterday. He stretched his arms before he could do anything. Suddenly, his left hand was put somewhere on Eri's body, who was still sleeping with her lingerie.
When his left hand felt something, it made him wonder where he put his left hand. And so he turned to look at his hand. And much to his shock and embarrassment, he noticed that his left hand was put on Eri's right boob. Feeling his left hand from her right boob, she woke up with her eyes opening slowly. As she opened her eyes, she turned to face his left hand.
Instead of being mad at Kurt for accidentally putting his left hand on her boob, she smiled. "Good morning, sweetie…" She said in a low motherly voice. Despite the fact that he still held her right boob with his left hand, Kurt looked away with his face turning red.
"G-Good morning…" He said in an embarrassed way. Eri used her right hand to make Kurt's left hand to get off her right boob, as she saw he was still holding it. It wasn't that she didn't like having someone feeling her boobs. It was how long Kurt could feel her boobs.
Some time later, Kurt was drinking his orange juice while Eri, still in her lingerie, was preparing hot chocolate-milk for herself. Kurt was still embarrassed of feeling her boob without her approval, thus making him drink less of orange juice.
"I'm sorry that I… um… grabbed your right boob in the morning. It wasn't intentional…" He tried to apologize for putting his left hand on Eri's right boob. Though she didn't like the idea of being sexually harassed, she wouldn't mind if it was just Kurt being the one who grabbed her boob. Because of the thought of it, she smiled.
"Don't worry about it, sweetie." She said while patting his head. "You like feeling my belly. I see nothing wrong with you feeling my large, meaty boobs… if it's just you, that is…" She said in a flirtatious way. Hearing this, Kurt had the biggest and the wrong idea of how Eri actually said it. because of that, it made him uncomfortable enough to drink orange juice fast with just one gulp.
After that, he cleaned his mouth with his right arm. Seeing this, Eri smiled, amused that Kurt might be embarrassed by it. "Now that I think about it, we should make plans for being a legal civilian as a werewolf, shouldn't we?" She asked, reminding Kurt about the procedures and the documentations of not only him being adopted by her, but also staying in Klard legally. Hearing this, Kurt realized that he forgot about that, probably because he was still thinking of him grabbing her right boob, much to his shame.
"R-Right…! We still need to think of you adopting me and making myself an official citizen of Klard." He agreed with Eri. Though he didn't have any idea what to do in those two things, luckily Eri had just the idea of adopting him. In fact, she had a paper that looked like an adoption certificate with her. In this paper, there were names of both Eri and Kurt written on it in her home world's language.
"Here, you should read this carefully before deciding if you're having second thoughts." She said, worried that Kurt might not like the idea of getting adopted by a human like her. Despite the fact that he wanted to have a decent mother so badly, he still read it as what was written:
"Certificate of Adoption
This certifies that Eri Kurokawa has officially adopted Kurt.
By signing this certificate, the adoptive will promise to give the adopted the lifetime of love, care and attention that they deserve. The adoptive will also promise to do their best to protect the adopted and help them live a happy and safe life.
Signature : _ Date : 04/06"
Just looking at the paper, it was clear for him that if he didn't sign the certificate, then he wouldn't have what he ever wanted. And so, he grabbed a pen nearby and decided to sign the certificate, which looks like some kind of scribble writing in front of his name. But after doing so, he noticed that some kanji characters he had never seen before were written on it. He was confused as to what those characters actually meant.
"Say… What do the kanji-like characters I noticed mean in this paper? Did you write them?" He asked. Eri didn't have any idea what he was referring to until she noticed his right hand's index pointing out on her writing. There, she saw her writing that confused him. Upon seeing this, she smiled.
"That's the language of my home country. You see, unlike yours, mine is written with asian-like symbols, not latin letters." She explained with the best of her knowledge about her birth language. Hearing her explanation, Kurt had a feeling that she might come from the Shimazaki Kingdom, the country next to the Thridal Kingdom. But he wasn't sure if that's true or not.
"So, does this mean that you're from the Shimazaki Kingdom?" He asked, thinking that he might know if that's true or not. Hearing the question however, Eri had no idea what the Shimazaki Kingdom is, because although it is a name from her birth language, she's from another world, a fact that she tried her best to hide from anyone, including Kurt. Not wanting to risk herself telling him who she really is, she decided to pretend that she, in fact, came from the Shimazaki Kingdom.
"Of course. I moved in to see and experience the Thridal Kingdom's culture." She answered, trying all her best to pretend that she's in fact, from the Shimazaki Kingdom. Though Kurt doubted her a little bit, he shrugged off the thought of whether she came from another world or not.
"Right…" He said before giving the adoption paper to Eri. As she grabbed it, she put it inside her purse, thinking that sometimes, she might need to present the paper to convince anyone that she adopted him. After that, there's one more thing left to do. And that is, making Kurt a proper civilian.
"One last thing to do now is to make you a civilian. Should we wait for tomorrow, sweetie?" She asked, recalling that Kurt might not be able to travel without some sort of ID first. Of course, Kurt didn't want to wait any longer, since he's been a street orphan for so long. So out of excitement, he didn't like the idea of waiting a little bit more.
"No. I really want to be a citizen, right now." He answered with enthusiasm. Seeing this, Eri smiled, amused by his enthusiasm. She had never seen anyone with an enthusiasm as big as Kurt's. "Alright then. We should prepare first before going out." She said, realizing that she's still in her lingerie, much to Kurt's embarrassment.
After a long time to prepare, both Eri and Kurt began to go out, with Eri having her purse, which consisted of legal documentations, keys to her home and her guide of what to do in another world, hidden deeply so that Kurt couldn't see it. As they got out, they immediately walked to the center of the capital, looking for information of where they could go to officialize Kurt as a citizen. But they instead went out shopping for anything that they could need. When they realized a few minutes later that they were supposed to go looking for a place that could make people as citizens, they settled on a bench in the park. Before that, they bought something to eat, in case either Eri or Kurt was to get hungry.
"I'm sorry, Kurt… I know that we should look for a place that could make you a citizen, but The mere thought of wanting to stroll around the streets with you just took over me." She apologized, out of embarrassment. Kurt however, wouldn't mind, believing that he had fun going out with her.
"It's okay, mom. Though I kinda agree that we should look for the place, at least I had a lot of fun with you." He said, being happy that he had a lot of fun, something that he didn't have until now. Because of that, he smiled just by being next to Eri. Hearing those words, she smiled before head-patting him. But that came soon to an end when suddenly, three thugs approached them.
"The hell do ya think you're doing here?" The leading thug asked in a threatening way. Thanks to that, Kurt got scared a little, probably because he's never gotten used to big and threatening people. Seeing this, Eri stopped smiling and turned to face the three thugs.
"We were just eating here. Is something wrong with that?" She sternly asked. Though she's pregnant, she wouldn't hesitate to face them against people like the three thugs if things went south, oblivious to them. Despite that, hearing the question, one of the three thugs started to become a bit more aggressive.
"Yeah there is! You're doing this in our turf! And we don't remember granting you two permission to do whatever the hell you want! Get lost before you'll regret it!" He exclaimed. Thanks to the threatening nature of the thug, Kurt became afraid of them. Seeing this, Eri became a little mad at the three thugs for scaring him.
"You really should stop doing this if you don't want to be in trouble." She said, making them even more threatening to them. Despite that, she stood her ground against them. Of course, the other one of the three thugs approached her after hearing her words.
"Lady, if you really don't want to be miserable right now, then take your fucking kid and get lost! Last warning!" He threatened her. Hearing this, it looks like keeping her blood cold wouldn't be easy for Eri, who despite being threatened, wasn't fazed by all of what the three thugs do based on their behaviors. Of course, this pissed the thug off. And because of that, he punched right to her stomach, much to Eri's shock.
After giving her stomach a fist, it looked like it didn't do anything to her stomach, not even an unpleasant pain from either the inside or the outside. Instead, it actually hurt the thug's hand, much to her relief. "S-Shit…! What the hell was that all about!? It felt like I punched a wall!" He exclaimed. Before he realized it, Eri grabbed him by the left arm and threw him to the ground, out of fury. She then snapped his right arm backwards. Feeling his bones snapped, the thug felt pain he never felt before. Because of this new experience, he begged for mercy.
"P-Please…! Stop…! W-We won't do this again…!" He exclaimed, losing his feeling of his arm. Hearing this, Eri let go of his arm before standing up, still a bit furious about him punching right to her stomach. "If you really mean it, then you should know that the guards won't take your behavior lightly. Understood?" She asked in a stern voice.
The guards then showed up, taking the three thugs away. The two of the thugs were submissive easily due to the fact that a pregnant woman, such as Eri, managed to scare them. After that however, Kurt rushed towards Eri, worried that her pregnancy might end in just one punch from the thug earlier. He put without any second thought his hands on her belly and kept caressing it to make sure that the unborn twins are okay. To his relief, he felt the twins squirming like normal.
"It's a relief that they're okay…" He said before letting out a sigh of relief. Seeing Kurt caressing her belly, she smiled while putting her soft hands on his head, caressing it slowly. Seeing her caressing his head, Kurt's face blushed red before he closed his eyes. Though this happened, it didn't prevent them from having Kurt a new Identification Card.
