Later that day, Sans got a visit from Papyrus. "Sans!" Papyrus gave Sans a hug, while Sans pretended it was fine, else Papyrus would know he was hurt. Sans knew what Papyrus did to people who succeeded in hurting him, from past resets. Technically, Papyrus never committed a major crime, but if you look at a very old timeline, before Frisk even got to the underground, an anomaly, Charlie went to kill Sans.

It wasn't the first timeline from when he gained his powers, not even the 50th, Sans counted, it was in the millions, if not trillions. And he won, against Sans.

Papyrus, who yes, remembered rests, just as well as he did, was angry and the human died a gruesome death. What no one knows is Sans can see what Papyrus sees, when he dies. He isn't sure the same goes for his bro. He could also feel Papyrus' anger.

"Human! My brother has never touched you!" The brown headed boy, with his hair to his shoulders, shrugged, "So what?" "I know you can change for the better." "I have no intentions to." Was said before he lunged at Papyrus, Papyrus dodged.

The human's face fell. "What! You never dodge." "Nope." Bones came from both ends, no room for the kid to dodge, and impaled him. Papyrus stopped his damage at one. "Human, everyone can be good, even super villains." Charlie seemed to get the hint. Papyrus knew he was the anomaly. His green eyes enlarged in anger. "This isn't fair! How can I dodge that?" "You aren't meant to." Bones came from the sky, impaling the kid from both directions.

Reset. Same thing. Kid had no way of getting better armor or passing Snowdin. "You know what I want." Reset. Death. Reset. Death. Reset. "Fine." This time Papyrus let the bones impaling the human, slowly drain the child's health to 0.

Reset to the beginning. Coming back after dying is mentally draining. You forget what the world looks like in your POV. Sans shuddered when the kid went to attack him after he was certain Papyrus was out of the way.

Death by Sans' hands. Reset. Death. Reset. Death. Reset. Papyrus, not naive as he pretends, knew what was up. Now Sans had help.

Quick death. Reset. Aim at Papyrus. Sans blocked the attack. Death. Reset. Death. Reset.

The human then killed Papyrus first. Yes, everyone expected that. Though, Papyrus insisted the human get another chance to change.

Sans knew what was next and prepared. As predicted, Charlie ran towards him, stick in hand, before Sans teleported behind him. "Look, I believe I angered you." Lunge, dodge. "Killing me isn't going to solve our disagreement." Lunge. "So why don't you tell me what's wrong?" Lunge. "Papyrus doesn't deserve to die for my mistakes." "I hate both of you." Charlie finally said, as he lunged towards Sans again. Dodge. "Why?" "Puzzles."

Sans knew what the kid was mentioning. Unlike, for Frisk, the orb puzzle had no footprints, as Papyrus took off his shoes. The tile puzzle also didn't have a path impossible to mess up. It was entirely random. Same as the bridge, the human really went through those trials. "And you act like I don't have a right to want you assholes dead?" Lunge, dodge. "I get it." Dodge. "I would be angry too." Downright pissed. "We can make it up to you." Lunge. Dodge. Sans was getting tired. "You gotta stop. I'm not attacking you." Lunge, dodge. "So what, you can attack me off guard?" The anomally's words dripped with venom. "I don't put it past you. After all, you remember too." Sans' face must have given away more than he thought as the human laughed a merciless laugh, "Exactly. Remember this old man." Lunge. Dodge. "I'll kill you every reset. No matter the timeline. I'll just make sure to kill your brother first." Bones impaled the human. Reset. Death. Reset. Death.

The world reset to the beginning again. Sans wasn't really eager to kill the human, but anomalies, any anomaly was dangerous. Sans opted to kill any anomaly after learning how one mistake, especially if someone who didn't remember the past mistake due to it being in a different timeline, can cause an unpredictable mess.

Death out of the Ruins' door. Reset. Death again. Reset. Death again. Reset. Death. Reset. Death, "Don't come back." Was the last thing Sans said to the anomaly. Sans spent years wondering if the anomaly would ever come back, until Flowey got his powers. Sadly, the weed opted to hide from Sans after he figured out about his abilities, and was "manipulating" Papyrus. Both of the brothers figured this was a fair game to keep Paps secret safe, with as little deaths as possible. Not that Flowey didn't see Papyrus' full power. Sans never wanted to see Paps like that again.

Pure rage, as Flowey didn't kill Sans, he possessed him and that was much worse according to Papyrus. How Papyrus would forgive after resets was a question Sans couldn't answer. But it was an example he tried to follow, no matter how hard.
