It wasn't really fun to watch your heroes being beaten up. It was moreover pathetic to see them being teased by your enemies. The grimm had won, that was true, they hadnt even needed to use their bulk grimm to do so.

So as the hunters were cornered, He couldnt have just stood there and watch as the self proclaimed heroes were cornered by a pack of common grimm. He thought of helping except, with his skinny arms and small figure, he couldnt do anything else other than bait.

He climbed a tree just above the four huddled huntsman as a pack of eight sourrounded them on all sides. He wasn't spotted yet, that was a blessing. But it wouldnt be for long however as the grimm began to attack them. He needed to act quick.

As fear bubbled in his guts, He took a piece of loaded crystal in his fanny pack and threw one down on the unsuspecting grimm. He had grabbed their attention now, good. Or was it bad? either way he needed their eyes on him or this wouldnt work.

When the bomb blew a piece of a grimms head off, all the others turned to look at the source of their partners death.

He hoped the hunters still had full aura, because this was gonna burn.

Throwing the full contents of his fanny pack, the area below exploded in different colors of light. Heat rushed into Jaunes face and he almost fell down the tree. luckily, he grabbed a branch just right in time.

A smoke covered the area and he could see nothing but grey. this worried Jaune because this could either mean two things; first was that the grimm died along with the huntsman; or second, the grimm fled and the huntsman were knocked unconsious.

It was likely there was a third option, something he couldnt yet think of because of his adrenaline. He waved away the smoke and saw a glimpse of movement. He froze, not knowing what it could be, he readied himself just in-case he needed to run.

He relaxed when, as the smoke cleared away, it was just dead grimm twitching as it dissolved into black ashes.

He went down to inspect and saw that four men had indeed fell unconsious. Knowing he couldnt (or wouldnt) carry the sleeping bodies back to ansel, he called an emergency number and waited for their arrival.

"Damn kid, they really did that?" one of the paramedics asked Jaune. They asked him for the whole story indicating why they had two degree burns, and Jaune, not wanting to deal with the consequences, made up a little lie about how they detonated a loaded dust just a bit too close to their faces.

"That's right sir, but if you were to punish them, at least make it light. They were trying to protect me after all" He said with the most innocent face and tone he could muster. It wasnt technically true, but it wasnt a lie either, and besides, he didnt really want someone who was only doing their job to feel the consequences of his actions.

The paramedic nodded his head and went away to aid the huntsman, leaving him with himself and another person alone in the woods.

He eyed the other guy who remained with him curiously as he insepected the explosion area. Compared to the other huntsman, he was more Jacked up and lean and wore a a grey dress shirt and a black dress pants, paired with a black dress shoe.

Jaune didnt really care about how people acted, but the way he straightened his back and gave him a look, sent some chills running down his spine. Also a little marker on how violently he took a swig of his flask.

For some reason, I had accidently made it shorter. Oh well
