Chapter 11

The next day…

Yua stood there, her arms crossed and yet, she peered down at a prostrated Sukuna. "I am prepared for any punishment you may have for me," he said bluntly that morning.

"First off, why?" Yua demanded of him. "The lives of children are special and sacred, why would you deprive them of their learning experiences, as well as what it means to BE a child?"

"The children's power was growing beyond their own abilities. I have noticed it for some time as they grow as sorcerers, if they cannot keep up or maintain their abilities it can be maddening as well as dangerous. I explained before, a similar situation happened to me at that age. I was forced to grow up faster in order to maintain and control my power."

"But you never told ME about that!" she protested. "If it was for the sake of the children to ensure that they were safe, we could have spoken about it!"

Sukuna, peered up at her oddly. "You mean to say if I had brought this to your attention, you would have permitted it?" he asked.

"That, I don't know for certain." She replied, "But the fact remains, what is done is done. But you will NEVER do something like that again without consulting me and the others!" she ordered.

His cuffs shined but Sukuna merely smiled. "I accept your terms," he said in a rather oddly upbeat tone. "Then permit me to help since I caused this problem. I will assist in training the children."

Yua paused oddly, NOW he is offering to help train the students?

"Who did you have in mind?" she asked.

His smile became rather crooked. "Who else than the family I am pledge to?"

Her children… of course he would want to train them… and yet… why did this feel so wrong to her? His tone, the way he is acting… he WANTS something!

"How can you train Shin when he is more like his father?" she asked.

Sukuna smirked. "Is he?"

She was taken aback once more. She remembered yesterday, Gojo tried to explain the concept of limitless to Shin. He didn't understand it. As well, Shin was trying to do something else to summon his curse energy. Gojo didn't understand what he was trying to do and yet, either one could understand what the other had in mind!

"How can you help Shin?" she asked.

"Remember how I said that there was something about his back, the curse mark that is similar to mine appeared?" he asked offhandedly. "I told you before, the boy has the six eyes ability, just… different from his father."

"MOM!"

Yua's heart froze as she heard Shin call out for her. She rushed back home and found her son locked in the bathroom. "Shin!? SHIN!" she called.

The door, opened slightly. Her son peered out but was in tears. "Mom… this isn't right, is it?" he wept.

The door opened more, Yua walked in carefully as Shin turned and showed her his back. The curse mark was there once more but, the thing was, in between the marks, came fluttering… then two sets of eyes opened…

He peered down.

A part of him was smiling on the inside, he thought this would happen, and yet… it's odd to him as well. This child's marks came from him, this… sudden development was caused by HIS curse energy… curious.

Then again, that notion in his mind is rearing its ugly head to it all. Sukuna has always had a theory about the Tooru clan, and it's starting to come together in his mind, but, he needs more evidence.

He stared at Shin's back, the child didn't hesitate to show him privately, but, if there were other people around, he grew meek about it. "You are comfortable showing me and your mother but no one else?" he asked offhandedly to Shin.

Shin merely nodded. "I thinks others will laugh, you wouldn't since you're different too," he said gently.

Yua appeared surprised to them, then again… Shin has been around his father, and six eyes cracks jokes at the worst possible time and way. So, it's natural for the child to be concerned about it.

"Is this his method of six eyes?" Yua asked with concern.

Sukuna peered at him again. "Can you see out of them?" he asked.

Shin opened the eyes but then he appeared to struggle and quickly closed them again. "A little, but it hurts."

"His method is still developing." He said bluntly to Yua. "If anything, don't use your eyes on your back just yet, I think you need to harmonize your curse energy first. Then slowly, we work on the six eyes ability you have made for yourself."

Shin froze oddly, he turned to Sukuna and asked. "You're… you're going to teach me?" he appeared… thrilled at the notion.

"I'll assist in your development, however, I don't possess the same ability as your father, at the same time, this isn't your father's clan's ability…"

"UBA IS GOING TO TRAIN ME! MOM! UBA SAID HE WILL TRAIN ME!" Shin shouted with great excitement.

Even Tooru was taken aback.

"I want to question this, but then again, he is his father's son…" Yua muttered.

"He's also yours too, you're the one that allowed me to live" Sukuna whispered back to her.

"Touché"

"NO FAIR!"

Sukuna froze as he heard Rook shout in protest. "Brat?" he asked.

"I WANT UBA TO TRAIN ME TOO! NO FAIR!" Rook roared.

"You don't have curse energy!" Shin snapped back.

"You're not strong without it!"

"Hey, hey! Ease up!" Tooru ordered.

But the boys kept arguing. Shin was determined to be trained, Rook was as well. But they bickered over who had more of a right to do so. Sukuna sighed as he plucked both of them off the ground, holding them in the air and glaring at them both simultaneously.

"Listen, and listen good… BOTH OF YOU!" he said in a sharp tone. They stopped arguing and gave their full attention. "I will train you both. However, I need to train Shin first, since his ability are harming him. Rook, you will have a fair chance as well. In the mean time, to keep up with me, train with Toji Fushiguro. When I am done with Shin, you will be ready for when I get to you. Understood?" he said firmly.

"Yes Uba…" the two said in a meek tone.

"Good," he placed them back on the ground again, he peered at Shin and nodded. "We get started now, you, Rook, don't waste the time you have to get stronger against me. You're going to need every bit of strength to hold your own when we spar!"

Rook's eyes widened, but he nodded with determination and rushed off. Sukuna turned to Shin once more. "We will step out of the domain, I have a space where you can show me what you can do…" he paused but turned to Yua. "Is that acceptable?"

She was taken aback by the request and yet gave her blessing.
