Chapter 12

There was a hidden valley, outside of the domain where Sukuna use to train himself as well as Ryoto back in the day. There, he brought Shin.

Shin peered about, peering in aw to the world around him. "You have very strong curse energy…" he whispered in admiration.

"Are you able to see it better?" Sukuna asked of him.

"Yes, it's becoming clearer, and yet… the eyes I have on my back…"

"Those are going to take time to adjust and develop, you have just started to use curse energy for yourself. As an infant, you body has no way of using it or expelling curse energy without harming yourself… which is why I aged you."

"Thank you," Shin said graciously. "But, how am I so understanding of everything around me?"

"That's why it is a slow release jujutsu. It takes into factor your age, and how far your body has to grow in order to tame your growing power. As such, the jujutsu infuses common knowledge, skills as well as milestones that every child should obtain by the age they reach."

He didn't think the brat would understand, and yet Shin merely nodded his head to it all.

"So, you have been training with your father?"

Shin shied away. "He tried to explain it to me, but… I don't think it's the same technique he has. I didn't understand what he was trying to teach me."

Sukuna took a seat on the ground, Shin oddly enough followed suit. "The way that your mother's side of the family helped other understand their technique was this, you sit before someone who has a greater technique and broader understanding of curse energy. You are going to meditate and unleash your curse energy before me. Understood?"

Shin looked determined and nodded his head.

His eyes closed, then he began to unleash his curse energy.

Sukuna could read it well and already understood why there was difficulties already. Shin's energy is completely different than that of his father's. The technique, despite being something similar, is not the same. The flow of it for one, second, Shin does possess six eyes. Lastly, he is still young and under developed.

"Stop for a moment,"

Shin stopped. Sukuna peered him dead in the eyes and said. "You have been thinking of a concept to your power, but have yet to put it into practice, have you?"

The boy was stunned, and yet nodded his head feverishly.

"Show me," Sukuna said bluntly.

Shin was taken aback but he sighed. "I am a little embarrassed about it, my dad can do this effortlessly, but… I have to do something to summon it…"

'Do something? Curious' Sukuna thought.

"Show it to me then, let me see if there is a flaw to the notion."

Shin nodded as he stood up. He kept some distance between himself and Sukuna before he started to move his hands.

The moment he did, Sukuna froze.

'That's the same way I summoned the fire arrow… how does this child know that?' he thought.

Shin did every motion perfectly, when he stopped he peered at Sukuna. "I need to do that to summon it, I… haven't used curse energy yet since I don't know if it would work…"

"A sorcerer is in tune with their technique, your body and mind will tell you how to use it to its potential. You have flawless movement, there was no hesitation or disruptions. Now, put it into practice, but, put your curse energy into it."

Shin nodded.

He built up his power, and then, he did the motion once more. Sukuna couldn't help but be curious to this child, the build was steady and yet not all over the place, he kept his mind clear and allowed himself to do what was needed, until… he condensed his curse energy to the tip of his fingers on his right hand. It was a small ball, and didn't appear to be much.

"Fire it," Sukuna ordered.

Shin nodded as he raised his arm, just like the fire arrow he summons, Shin pulled back the energy as if it were on a bow, then… it was released.

He didn't think much of it, the little ball of curse energy was fired. Shin stood there for a moment until…

SNAP

He snapped his fingers.

The ball erupted, and then struck the barrier.

The energy in that little ball… engulfed the barrier with ease! This…

"Hallow purple…" Sukuna whispered.

"What's hallow purple?" Shin asked curiously.

"Just a moment, do you know of the other two abilities of your father, blue and red?" he asked.

Shin's head crooked to the side. "Blue and red?" he asked curiously.

This only confused Sukuna… red and blue are the basics to Six eye's technique, he needs to master the two of them in order to create hallow purple, not to mention have the ability to do so. It's rare for anyone from the Gojo clan to obtain this without six eyes and limitless at their disposal…

What on earth is this child?

"Uba… did I do something wrong?" he asked in a worried tone.

He snapped out of it. "Far from it child, if anything, you are more remarkable than your father." He decreed.

Shin's eyes sparkled with admiration. "You think so?!"

"I know so, what you did, should not have been. Hallow purple is a technique that a Gojo can make once they master the first two elements of their abilities, blue and red. Both have different uses as well as impact, however, combining the two need careful consideration, power and control… it is why you made the arm movements isn't it? You carried both techniques one per hand and yet, you harmonized them with the movement of your arms. Where did that come from?" he asked.

Shin shrugged his shoulders. "It just came to my mind, I don't know where I learned it from." He said honestly.

Sukuna stood up.

"I know that move since…" he then demonstrated. Using the same movements as Shin, yet summoned the fire arrow he used on Jojo back in the day.

The child's eyes widened in amazement, he stared at his hands and then at Sukuna's.

"That is so cool!" he whispered. "You made FIRE!"

"Your attack would be stronger than mine," he said honestly.

"But you made FIRE!" Shin said with utter amazement. "Mochi could learn that, couldn't she?"

"She appears content with her fire kittens at the moment…" Sukuna said with a sigh, that's the one thing about children too. If they find something they adore about their ability, there is not much that one can do to convince them otherwise on learning something else.

Mochi loved her fire kittens, that was certain.

"Uba… mom said that the marking on my back… it's from you isn't it?"

He was surprised that the child listened that well, but he nodded. "Yes," he said bluntly. "I believe that happened when I resuscitated you."

Shin paused but then nodded. "You did save me, when I was a baby…"

"How did you know you were a baby when I did such a thing?"

"Grandma" he said simply. "I remember grandma, she said that I wasn't ready to join her yet, but smiled and said. 'You'll be okay, Ryomen is going to bring you back' and then… that's all I remember"

He was in aw, but didn't show it. After all, what if this child is lying to him? But, if he was, how did he know his name?

Mother Tooru still meddles even after she's gone.

"Do you know why you have those marks from me?" Sukuna asked offhandedly.

Shin shied away for a moment, but then he sighed. "I think… it's because of mom's side of the family."

"Partly, but also, I'm rather powerful as well, it appears simple actions tend to influence those I help…"

He made mental note of that, he should be careful with who he saves from this moment on, a part of his power tends to leech into those he helps.

"You and me are going to be training quite a bit, I want you to meet me here every day at one. We will train for three hours each day, understood?" Sukuna ordered.

He wondered why the little brat's eyes sparkled with great excitement.

Tooru children certainly are crazy!
