Chapter 14

'This is a playground?'

Sukuna kept true to his word on Yua's children. They have been training hard for the past few weeks, he said if he saw improvement in them, he would take them to a park for a play date.

Needless to say, they strived to improve themselves and he saw a remarkable growth in all three. Mochi has learned to make a fire domain around herself, similar to her father's limitless technique, however it does not block everything. Yet, if what is thrown at her catches fire, she can turn it against her attacker. Rather smart for a eight year old.

Rook has been able to lift a lot more weight than before. He went from 100 pounds to 230 in two weeks. He is also getting better at hand to hand combat, but his main goal is to improve his strength and balance. As of late, when Sukuna spars with him, it sumo wrestling. Despite his obvious advantages over a child, Rook never shied away from the challenge. And every day, Sukuna could feel his strength growing.

Shin is a prodigy.

He has mastered hallow purple in that time, however, he still has no concept of blue and red, at least, not yet.

Thus, he acknowledged them.

And that is why he sits on a bench and watches them play.

However, he could do without the attention. People stopped and whispered about him, and even pointing out how freakishly tall he was.

If they only knew.

'Then again, had I been my old self, this park would be littered with bodies…' he thought.

But there was something else going on too.

The children have yet to learn their mother's ability to conceal their curse energy, and there were sorcerers sniffing around. Much to his surprise, the Gojo clan had come by and instantly picked up on Shin's curse energy.

"Of course they would be here…" Sukuna muttered.

He kept a close eye, when they started to approach Shin, he took notice but was quick to grab Rook and Mochi before rushing off to find him. That was his order to them. 'If something isn't right, or if you feel scared, you come to me immediately!'

Unlike his father, this child has common sense and knows when to listen to his elders.

Shin made his way over. He looked worried. "Uba… they're sorcerers aren't they?" he whispered as he saw the Gojo clan approach.

"Yes, stay close to me," he whispered back.

As they approached, Sukuna stood up. Instantly, that stopped them dead in their tracks. "Can I help you?" he asked in an annoyed tone.

There were only three of them, but they paused oddly as the children hid behind Sukuna's legs. "We're… we wish to speak with the children, we're from their father's clan, the Gojo clan… you… you know of us right?" the middle man asked.

"Too well," Sukuna said in a matter of fact tone. "Get to your point."

They peered down but their eyes were on Shin. "His son, shouldn't be this old, let alone the other two… and yet, we sense great power within them… the family would like to meet the next generation if possible… after all, we are kin!" said the man on the left.

Sukuna sneered at them. "We can meet dad's side of the family? We never met anyone from dad's clan!" Rook said in a rather excited tone. "Uba, can we?"

The three snorted a laugh as Rook called him Uba, at the same time. Perhaps this is an opportunity. "What do your brother and sister wish to do? Do you want to meet some people from your father's side?"

Mochi kept hidden. Shin peered at them but distrusted how they stared at him. They smell a prodigy before them, he knew that much. "Just for a little while, as long as Uba is with us, I'm okay with it"

Sukuna also has enough allowance in him that he could take out the clan if needed. "You have an hour, no more or less." He decreed.

It surprised the three sorcerers as they insisted they would make certain to keep to the time limit. But to get to the clan estate…

#

They arrived.

Driven by the three who found them. Sukuna peered over the estate. There were many strong sorcerers here, but nothing compared to Gojo… to the children for that matter.

"Whoa…" Rook whispered with great admiration.

"This is dad's family home?" Shin whispered to him.

"Apparently so," Sukuna muttered back.

It looked like all the other clan estates.

They were led into the facilities, Sukuna kept in mind who was where and their power level, if anything… Six eyes may become the last member of his clan if need be. However, he was doing this for the children's sake. Rook has asked about his father's side of the family, apparently Six eyes doesn't speak of them and changes the subject.

Sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones you didn't ask for.

They were greeted and welcomed into the main house. There, sat five uncle like men who were now beaming at the sight of Shin. "AH! There he is! The one who shall surpass his father!" The eldest of them cheered.

Shin didn't give them eye contact, in fact, he kept inching his way back to Sukuna's right leg. Mochi hid behind his left leg, Rook oddly enough was out in the open of it all. "This is dad's clan?" he asked.

"Indeed child, indeed!" The eldest said. "We wish to welcome you back into it, apparently your father doesn't care enough about you to allow his family in assisting you to grow into stronger sorcerers"

Sukuna forced a laugh. "Yeah, sure," he muttered to them.

"And who is this little one? We didn't know he had more children, let alone that they have ages this drastically…" one asked.

"I'm Rook!"

"Rook?" the elder asked.

"Uh huh! I'm really strong and fast!"

"Ooo let's see your technique then child!"

Sukuna was curious as to how they would test Rook, but either way, more information he has on the Gojo clan the better. Rook took their challenge with a smile on his face. They gathered some of their elites and had him face them. Rook was armed with a wooden sword as to his request and from there… well… let's say the Gojo clan was embarrassed to be outdone by a child. He fended them all off, even though they were sorcerers, at least second grade if Sukuna were to assume… but that was being generous by his standards.

When the elite laid there, Rook turned and smiled to Uba. "Did I do good?" he asked.

"Great!" he replied and smiled. However, what was to come…

The elders were impressed. "Remarkable boy, remarkable! You have mastered your mother's conceal ability to perfection!" the eldest said.

"Conceal?" Rook asked oddly. "What do you mean?"

"You hid your curse energy so well, we didn't even sense it. Your mother must have taught you that," said an uncle on the right.

"No, I don't have curse energy," Rook said bluntly.

The elders, suddenly bucked back a little in disgust.

"What…"

"I don't have curse energy. Instead, I am really, really strong, fast and my senses are sharper!" he said proudly. "I would love to be like my dad. I could be a strong Gojo too!"

Sukuna peered at the elders who were now turning red with rage.

"You… Satoru has a monkey child!" the eldest shouted in rage. "HOW DARE YOU STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE!"

Rook… froze.

"But… I'm strong…"

"Be silent monkey!" an uncle on the left shouted. But then his focus turned to Shin. "YOU! BOY! Show us your technique!"

Shin shook his head.

"Your elders demand you reveal your technique to us!"

"And with that, we are done here." Sukuna stood up, just as Rook was about to cry. He was quick to bring the child to him. "Come now, you're stronger than this and those old fools."

Rook tried to keep a brave face, yet the elders stood. "You are not leaving with them, that child, he is stronger than Satoru isn't he!"

"Rook? Yes," Sukuna said bluntly.

"The monkey is not part of this conversation, we mean the eldest, Shin. He has the six eyes ability despite the fact…"

"It doesn't matter." Sukuna snapped back at them. "The fact remains you are all going to see that this is a grave mistake on your part. We are leaving, and if you wish to continue living… you won't stop us. If you try to… I assure you… there will no longer be three great families within the jujutsu society…" he warned.

His tone alone sent the message. He was surprised they left unhindered. At the same time, he couldn't but sense something off.

Also, why was Mochi suddenly smiling?

He managed to use a daemon gate to get home, he has permission thanks to the brats. But now…

Rook was crying in his arms. "Am I a monkey?" he wept.

"Not even close," Sukuna said.

"Don't worry Rook, I left behind some kittens for them to play with!" Mochi said proudly.

Sukuna… suddenly froze in his step. He peered down and saw the proud smile on her face.

She left kittens behind…

When Yua becomes his wife, this child will get along with him exceptionally well!

Sukuna felt oddly proud of her!
