A fallen? I hear you ask, well to explain this one requires a tangent if you would indulge me
According to records around 12,000 years ago something….happened and let's just say the results were magical
Dragons appeared in random locations around Terra
To hear them tell it apparently there was this colossal war raging on the world they originally hailed from, i don't remember the details but the short version is
Fighting got bad a bunch of dragon mages used some strange unknown power to open a portal and sure enough they wind up on terra
The 2 results of this were a cataclysm on the earth, massive floods horrific earthquakes and the like
And the bringing of magic to this world
A lot of magic, an absolute fuck ton
The humans that survived this event found themselves on a changed world unaware of the changes that had happened within themselves
When I say that magic was brought to terra I mean the magical energy from the "transference" we'll call it, literally surged through everything and anything on the planet down to the cellular level even to the very core of the earth
In spite of this the changes were gradual to a frankly irritating degree, it took roughly 8000 years for anything remotely considered magical to finally manifest and even at that it wasn't anything to phone home about, as far as we're aware one of the first proper magical acts witnessed was this crazy lad in Egypt splitting the Red Sea to get his people across
From there thing just progressed onwards
Healers here, warriors there and the odd leader thrown in
Then the Black Death happened
Nearly 200,000,000 people dead and the less said about the insanity during and after the fact the better
After all that carnage anything magical is such a rarity that it is considered mythical
Now I'm sure you're wondering where the dragons were during all that, essentially once they got here they used their elemental abilities to create small settlements around the earth, hidden from eyes of the natives, most didn't get involved in the affairs with us humans however some did with….well we'll just say mixed results
Oh aye I was explaining what the fallen were, they're dragons that have been consumed by evil magics, fallen dragons, imaginative I know but fuck it it'll do
Anyway back to the present
Apparently the angry Charlie Chaplin knock off has been working with this unknown fallen to uncover an artefact that even the dragons consider mythical
Something called an ancestral or celestial crystal, that's the dragons concern, what the allies are worried about is the fact that hitlers somehow managed to get hold of classified weapons schematics and enough of atomic material to make Hiroshima look like a cap gun
