Chapter 19
Yua was held up in bed.
When she came too, she couldn't understand why her arms and legs were numb, yet when she turned to peer down at herself, she couldn't stop screaming!
Satoru came running in. "YUA!" he called.
"Satoru! What happened?! I'm a damn torso!" she shouted in anger.
He tried not to smirk, but it escaped from him. "Uh… Lady Tiamat took your arms and legs to make Sukuna a wife. She succeeded… well… she did more than succeed. She resurrected your ancestor."
She sat there, frozen for a moment before sighing aloud. "You know, despite everything that has happened. I am not surprised anymore…" she said with a defeated sigh. "Still, why the hell did I agree to this? And for HIM!?"
"I've been trying to figure that out myself…" Gojo said and snickered. "But I think that is what makes your family crazy. You tend to overlook something someone has done for the sake of sanity and happiness. Besides, I think this was a good idea. If he got desperate enough…" he paused as his fists clenched in anger.
Yua merely nodded to him as she rested her head once more. "I wonder how long it will take for me to recover from this…"
"Lady Tiamat said a while, how long, I don't know. Even your curse energy is affected by this too, so we should be careful…" just as Gojo finished speaking, a gentle knock came to the door. "Come in!"
She peered up once more and saw Suiryu standing there. "Hey Yua," he said. "You look like shit."
"Gee, thanks!" she muttered before resting her head once more. "So, it went well I take it?"
"Too well to be honest, you've been out for four days. We got Chusi outside of the domain for the first time. My God, and I thought my kids were bad!" he snickered. "Yuuji said she kept going to every stall, trying to see if there was anyone familiar to her… oddly enough she recognizes some people's descendants!" he said with utter amazement. "How, I have no idea…"
"How's Sukuna?" she asked curiously.
The two exchanged looks. Gojo was hesitant to speak. Suiryu appeared a little dumbfounded. "Well… the thing is… he's settled down… a lot!"
"Huh?" she muttered in confusion.
"In fact…" Suiryu suddenly stepped off to the side, he nudged his head as Sukuna suddenly peered into the room. "You just going to stand there?!" Suiryu demanded.
He was acting odd, even for him. He appeared meeker than before, and yet, when he saw her lying there. He froze instantly. "Take a picture it lasts longer…" she muttered.
He said nothing.
He kept staring at her, but then turned to Suiryu. "How did she… who did this?!" he demanded.
Yua remembered her promise to Lady Tiamat and kept silent on the matter. She wasn't going to rub it in his face. But she felt she had the right to do so! Yet a promise is a promise.
However, that rule didn't apply to everyone else.
"How do you think Chusi came back?" Suiryu demanded of him. "She promised mom not to speak of it, but I didn't make that promise. I humbled you before, forced you to bow before Yua. Next time she stands on her own two feet. You ought to be as low to the ground as you came make yourself!" he said nothing more and walked out after.
Sukuna then turned to Gojo, who merely shrugged. "Don't look I me, I don't know why she did it either!"
"Tooru…" he whispered.
"Let's… just drop it okay?" she said in a tired tone. "I don't want to talk about it, I just want to try and recover…" as her voice trailed off, she jumped as Sukuna had come closer, almost unable to believe his eyes.
He then turned to Satoru. "You better take care of her!" he ordered before leaving, and yet, he kept looking back. When he was finally gone, Yua sighed aloud.
Gojo however appeared a little stunned. "Did he threaten me in a sense? Telling me to take care of you?"
She shrugged. "At the moment, I really don't care…" she sighed. "GAH! How the hell do I go to the bathroom now!?"
Gojo burst out laughing.

Suiryu lingered outside for a moment.
Just because Yua was promised not to say anything, didn't mean he wouldn't. Especially to Sukuna. What was said inside, was merely a warning, but, when he comes out again. Suiryu will be certain he let's the bastard know what happened.
It took a little longer than he anticipated, yet the moment he saw him. Suiryu stepped in front of him. "Got something to say now?" he demanded of him. "Despite what I said inside. I want to hear it first thing from you, how are you going to pay this debt?"
Yet, it was strange.
There was a lost look in the eyes of the former demon sorcerer. "Where do I even being?" he whispered. "She… she sacrificed parts of her body so Chusi…"
"Blood, bone and tissue. Yeah, she did." Suiryu paused. "Why she did it, I don't know. But listen and listen good. Despite what I said in there, I am going to hold you to it, but more importantly. You ought to be waiting on her since she doesn't have hands and feet at the moment. I told you before. Yua is like a mother to me, and I wasn't bullshitting you on that either…"
"What can I do for her?"
Suiryu froze. "What?"
"What can I do for her? Her limbs were taken by a dragon… they won't recover for at least a month, I will do whatever she need me to do for her!"
Suiryu was rendered rather silent. "Perhaps it is best that Chusi meets with her as well… That way if you are going to assist her, she understands why."
He nodded. "But… please don't tell her how she returned…" he whispered.
"That I can do, since you already feel like shit about it."
Suiryu waited as Sukuna went to get Chusi. When she appeared she smiled warmly to Suiryu. "Hey Ryujin!" she said cheerfully.
He smirked. "It's Suiryu, if you don't mind. But, I need to ask you a favor."
She appeared all ears and was willing to listen. They walked into Yua and Satoru's home as he explained, "Sukuna is going to be helping a friend of mine for some time. We wanted to introduce you so you knew he really was coming here to assist and not just leaving the house unannounced." Gojo was just sitting Yua up in the bed when Chusi fell silent at the sight of her.
Yua paused as well as they two met for the first time. "Chusi, I want you to meet Yua." Suiryu began to explain. However he noticed how silent she was as she began to approach cautiously. Chusi stared at Yua, but shook her head in disbelief.
"You…" she whispered. "We're family?"
Yua nodded. "Yes,"
"You're arms… legs…"
"Long story," she simply said.
Chusi however turned to Sukuna, there was this look in her eyes, and he merely nodded to her. "I… I came back, because she sacrificed…"
The room was silent. "Wait, how could you have known that?" Suiryu demanded.
"Remember how I said I could never get anything pass a Tooru…" he said offhandedly. "Their insight is second to none, you could try to hide a lie but they could pry it out of you nearly in an instant, and it was the women who had this gift."
Suiryu paused. "That does explain how Yua pegs me all the time when I got a problem…" he muttered.
Chusi came closer as she soon sat on the edge of the bed, next to Yua. "So… we're… sisters in a sense aren't we?" she asked.
She wasn't totally wrong on the notion, Yua even laughed and nodded. "I suppose we are… wait… great… so YOU'RE my brother in law now or something?" she demanded as her sights turned to Sukuna.
"Among other things…" he muttered.
"What do you mean by that?" Chusi asked.
Sukuna kept silent on the matter, Suiryu however smirked as he was more… looser in the lips. He explained everything to Chusi as to how Ryomen came to them. He was revived by his own members of a hidden cult that he created, only to kill them all to revive himself to become far stronger than he was before when he possessed his full strength a thousand years ago. Since after all, the five were alive for the thousand years after he became a curse object. "He came a knocking here, looking to kill everyone who defied him. But who he was really after was Yua, at the time she was expecting Shin. He didn't hesitate to attack…"
She froze as her eyes widened in shock. "I was stopped before I could harm her," he confessed.
"Yeah, by Yuuji and I. At the time, he had NO IDEA we had become dragons… so we toyed with him for a bit. Until we got board. We were going to kill him, but then an idea hit us. Why do that when he will try and revive again? He has other legions who would do that for him, not ALL of his essence was taken away from this world so, it was possible. So, Yuuji suggested that we kept him alive, but at the same time he had to be punished."
Sukuna nodded to it all, he didn't correct him once on the matter.
"How…" She began to ask.
"Well, first thing we did, was rip out his heart," Suiryu said bluntly.
Chusi gasped in shock as she turned to Sukuna. "I could live without it," he said without much care. "But, when they took it out… that brat revived it and shoved it back into my chest. Never, have I felt a pain like that before."
"I wasn't always like this either. You may see our… similarities?" Suiryu said offhandedly. "I guess the blunt way of saying it was this, the good aspect of him, that your family tried to save and keep alive… created me."
Chusi was silent.
Gojo even nodded to it all. "When Itadori faced Sukuna during a trial of body and soul, he was defeated through purification. Which can only happen if there was something worth saving in that soul… he was no bigger than a grit of sand."
"Small, but not insignificant," Suiryu stated. "Yuuji raised me within himself, in an innate domain. But not just him…" he turned to Yua respectfully, but then smirked. "Huh… guess that's how you really felt about them… I had no way of obtaining his human memories, those vanished when he became a curse object. And yet, when I was being raised. Yuuji's soul fed me, but it wasn't just his either… You did so as well, didn't you?" he asked Yua.
She appeared rather stunned herself. "Huh, that would explain a few things. Why you saw me as a mother…"
"When Yuuji wasn't there, you stood in his place for me. No shit that I considered you a mother!" he protested. "But since I also came from that part of him at the time… it was the human connection he had to your clan. It's why I trusted you so easily… Huh, things that just happen to work out don't they?"
She shrugged as best she should. "Either way, I don't regret anything."
"Moving along…" Sukuna muttered. "I still did various things that harmed others after that. But they kept me contained… I was considered and still am, their pet." He said reluctantly. "I had also pledged myself to be the guardian of the Tooru family since Ryujin is no longer able to do so. I did that, after I was purified the second time. Most of my human memories returned and still…" he sneered a little. "I nearly took, Yuuji Itadori's son as my vessel, only after I had the monk that he liked killed and prepared into a feast for me… I didn't even finish that meal. I took one taste and became revolted by it. I am not perfect. I am far from it. I also know… there is much I need to do to make amends."
"Even that is freaky to me," Suiryu said as he hooked his thumb towards the former king of curses.
Chusi however, wasn't too surprised by it all. "You became their pet? That's wonderful!"
"Huh?"
"It is?" Gojo asked.
"Of course, it's why the family kept close to you, curse energy doesn't behave the same way around our family, and around a dragon either. Your body kept absorbing more and more of it, taking in every negative emotion into yourself, it's why you corrupted so quickly and why your curse form was so strong." She explained. "The family knew that, but we never wanted you to feel you had to stay with us to control yourself. But you did by your own choice. And now…"
"I have no curse energy" he confessed.
She froze once more. "…"
"He made that arrangement," Suiryu said with a small grin.
She paused. But she took a moment to process everything, she turned to Yua of all people. "Did you offer? Or was this taken by force?" she asked.
Yua snickered. "No, I offered. Which I am still shocked at since I don't like Sukuna, nor have I forgiven him for what he has done."
"Then why?" she asked.
"I want to know the answer to that as well…" Sukuna said. "You despise me, you would rather have me dead and yet… you offered yourself so I may have a wife. Why?" he demanded.
Yua sighed. "Perhaps that's the crazy part of being a Tooru. Despite all of that, and then some from the likes of YOU of all people… I still don't know why I agreed to it."
Chizu smirked a little. "It's because you know there is something more to this…" she teased. "You may have known Ryomen for what he did as a vengeful sorcerer, but you have yet to know him as a human being. You have an opportunity now."
No one really moved, Suiryu himself appeared confused as he turned to Sukuna oddly. "Was she always like this?" he whispered.
"You haven't seen anything yet…"
