Several years after Nikki had left town, Jen was at her new house walking into a bedroom in the early morning.

"Come on, Ben," said Jen as she headed over to the bed and started to try and pull the covers off of the person who had been sleeping.

"It's time to get up," she said.

"Give me another five minutes, mom," said Ben who was trying to keep her from removing the covers the best he could from under them.

"And if I do that you'll be late for work, so get up," said Jen as she finally got the covers off him.

"Mm, why do I even need a summer job again?" asked Ben while sitting up. This revealed him to be a teenage boy with tan skin and red hair like his mom.

"Because your dad and I aren't buying that car you wanted," said Jen.

"Oh yeah," said Ben.

"Speaking of dad, did he already head to work himself?" he asked while heading to his closet to get his uniform out.

"He had to get to the station early because something big is happening and they needed all the officers in early," said Jen.

"Now let's get downstairs, breakfast is getting cold," she said before heading out. Meanwhile, at the local police station.

"Hey Jonesy, how was your week off?" asked an officer as Jonesy walked by.

"It was great, I took the family up to our cabin at the lake," said Jonesy.

"Bet that son of your's was happy about that," said the officer as they entered a room where several other cops were waiting.

"Ben loved it, he's always had fun fishing," said Jonesy.

"We had to get back early yesterday though because today is his first day of work and this urgent case came up," he said.

"Wow, first summer job, huh," said the officer.

"Yeah, he got a job at the Penalty Box at the mall," said Jonesy.

"Is he sure that he can handle Coach Hadler?" asked the officer.

"We'll see," said Jonesy. The room then went quiet as the captain walked in to start the meeting.
