Chapter 20

The next day.

People had stopped and stared.

Yua felt embarrassed beyond belief. "I always thought Satoru would do something like this, why the hell are you doing it?"

She was strapped to his back, able to peer over his shoulder, Yua was being carried around by Sukuna! He turned to her and said. "Not my idea, your sister's." he said and smirked. "Besides, she insisted until you recover, we tend to you. I happen to agree with her… I also can't argue against her."

That tone he spoke just now. "Wait, is there something about her that you aren't telling me?" she asked.

He snickered a little. "Let's just say, bringing her back is a slight double edged sword."

Yua felt her heart freeze in her chest, what the hell did he mean by that!?

They were taking in everything, the students were training and Chusi paused to see the non sorcerers working on their weapons. She became fascinated and began to approach. "You can handle this already? How old are you?" she asked.

The student froze. "14" he said oddly enough but appeared concerned. "Why?"

"Mind if I spar with you?"

Yua froze as well. "She can use weapons?" she whispered.

Sukuna snickered once more. "You have no idea do you Tooru?..." he paused. "I suppose I will have to address you by your name now huh?"

"Guess so…" she said offhandedly.

CLASH!

CLASH!

BANG!

The silence broke when a sword that was fling into the air, became embedded in the ground.

Chusi stood strong as the student froze. "You didn't use curse energy…" he whispered.

"Why would I?" she asked curiously. "You can't have curse energy solve EVERY problem you have now can you?" The question was innocent enough, but still, she was this strong?

"Anyone else want to spar?" she asked aloud.

The students suddenly flocked to her, all asking her for advice. She took them all on, and won every battle despite their increase in power. How she kept up, Yua didn't understand. And yet, she was able to do so with great ease. "You look confused," Sukuna said with a smirk on his face. "But then again, you have no idea how unique she is."

"Part of the reason why you were attracted to her? Her power?" she asked offhandedly.

He was silent for a moment, but then said. "I doubt you would believe me,"

She rested her chin on his shoulder. "I'm listening…"

He sighed aloud as he continued to watch her train the children. "She has a remarkable talent, I've never seen another like her since, and I doubt even you would be able to replicate her ability. You sense no curse energy in her right now, correct?"

She nodded. "Yeah, I thought she would have gotten some of mine…"

"Not the case, right now, her body has no curse energy. It's gone, which means, she is the same as Toji at this moment."

"So she has no curse technique, that's not uncommon in my family."

He snickered once more. "Who said she didn't?"

Now, she was confused. "Wait, the two cannot co-exist in the same body, one cannot have the same power as Toji if they possess curse energy and vise versa!" she protested.

"Exactly, when she has no curse energy, her body can become unrestricted. When she has curse energy, she loses that ability… that's just ONE of her many tricks."

She was getting a headache just thinking of this, but decided to let it slide for now.

The students were all defeated, and yet, they were smiling. They had learned something and were given new ways of improving themselves. They took the lessons to heart, however, it wasn't long before she caught someone else's attention. Toji had been watching from afar. He came out of hiding as the students left to train. "Not bad for a Tooru," he said aloud.

Chusi smirked a little. "You want a turn now? I don't mind if you want to test me too." She said but paused. "Granted, you do have the slight advantage… a mate to Lady Tiamat is no laughing matter…"

He froze. "How did you…"

"I can see her mark on you, in fact I saw it the other day... right on your back but it peers out slightly over your left shoulder. The dragon claw mark, she made certain those knew who you were…" she said offhandedly. "However, despite that, I still think I could hold my own against you…"

Toji was grinning now. "I haven't had a good sparring partner in a little while. Maki is still a few steps behind me…"

"Well then, let's see if I can fill that void you have." She stood at the ready, the sword raised as Toji licked his lips with anticipation. "Don't hold back now… my husband is watching."

They didn't stop for an hour.

A whole hour the two went toe to toe and yet, not once did Yua see them pause or take a moment to catch their breath. It all ended when the two had their swords drawn to each other's necks. It was a tie!

Toji smirked before be burst out laughing. "Shit, you're just like Kira!" he said proudly.

"Kira?"

"My aunt!" Yua called. "She had no curse energy and was remarkable with a weapon, she taught Toji a little when he was young." She explained.

"No wonder…" Chusi smirked. "Your footwork is remarkable, you barely left room for openings let alone permit me a counter strike. You kept pace with me and anticipated my movements well enough… Oh look, you got my shirt a little, not bad!" she said.

"Yeah, you got me more, my pants here and my shoulder here…" he said and revealed the new holes in his clothing. "But you are a Tooru through and through huh?"

"Yeah, I'm only like that when I have no curse energy. Which doesn't happen often."

Toji froze. "Huh?"

"Well, I better get going, Ryomen and I are going to make sure Yua gets out and about, not to mention it's nearly time for lunch and I could eat." She gave Toji back the sword before turning to Sukuna's side. "Really? Thanks for waiting."

"I'd watch you fight any day, you still got it." Sukuna said with great admiration.

But what else was going on here? It's clear he did care of her for her power and talent, but what else? Why was Sukuna so drawn to her?
