In the morning, Minako peered outside to ensure the coast was clear. Then, as the group disembarked, they looked over the grounds with horror. The tents were either torn or down, what little possessions were ruined, collected wood for the fire was thrown about, most of the food was half-eaten, and the rest laid on the ground, spoiled, and even the RV had been battered a little! The most telling of all this was the scuffled but deep footprints of the creature, much larger than any gorilla.

"Let me see if I can analyze these footprints without my computer." Crystal knelt and told the group what she could. "Considering the general shape, size, circumference, and inner foot, these tracks look almost ape-like. One thing that puzzles me is apes drag their knuckles on the ground, but those prints are not present here."

"In English?" Shadow asked, as Crystal's language is sometimes hard for her to understand.

"What you saw last night wasn't any monkey." Luna clarified.

"We got the best look at it, and as insane as it might sound, it was Bigfoot," Comet revealed.

"You were saying it doesn't...what, Dawn?" Jewel's Christen-like general turned to her twin exaggeratedly, accusingly.

"You were joking, and Dawn called it. Did you think it existed?" Ivy questioned Shadow, defending Dawn.

"That's neither here nor there now. From now on, no one is to travel alone or be outside past dark. So let's pick up this mess." Neo-Queen Serenity demanded.

Though the girls are disappointed, they know this is for their safety. Moreover, due to last night's fright, no one dared disagree. Everyone got to work packing up what could be salvaged and safely disposing of what could not. Also, it was apparent the girls would have to gather food again. It won't be as hard as they know the best spots now. Yet, now it was made more treacherous by the fact Bigfoot was out there!

Christen was more confident than Gracie. Ariel was not as frightened as Crystal. But, despite being better armed, even the Outer Senshi were still trying to figure out what to do. Because they couldn't predict what would happen now that a real-life cryptid was in their midst. In the end, the parents opted to go with the girls.

"So much for a fun-filled experience in the wilderness." Christen picked up sticks during her quadrupled hunting. She then set them ablaze to let off some annoyed energy.

"You're more than welcome to hunt by yourself, Christen. That is if you think you can handle Bigfoot on your own." Rei said in a warning tone.

"Considering how I did last night, I can! But, jeez, Mom, you act like I can't do anything!" Christen snapped, a fire blazing within her hickory eyes.

"I won't deny you're a great fighter, Christen. But, regardless, you get hotheaded too easily, leading to bad decisions." Minako pointed out. The beautiful blond was hoping to defuse the situation. But, surprisingly, when someone was honest about Christen's behavior, it seemed to quiet her down.

"Neon Venus Golden Shower!" Gracie shot down a few ducks from a flock. They had been frightened by all their yelling. Everyone gave Gracie a proud smile for her achievement.

"Nice one, sweetie!" Minako congratulated excitedly.

"Of course..." Christen mumbled to herself bitterly. It would've been nice if she could've had the first kill of the day.

Considering she succeeded with some rabbits, it was not a total loss of a morning. Christen had previously taken down a moose (with Gracie's help) and deer. However, it had been eaten by Bigfoot. Thus she had to take the good with the bad. Sadly, the girls had picked most of their food on the first day. Consequently, there was a limited quantity left.

Dividing up the fruits was as fair a way as possible to ensure everybody got something, even if it was less than what they usually would have. After finishing a meager breakfast, Christen wanted to walk with her teammates. She felt they were a big enough group to deal with Bigfoot if they encountered it.

Everyone knew Christen must have an ulterior motive for this, but what? "Christen, why did you want to do this?" Chibiusa moaned loudly. The girls did not feel like they had enough energy from no sleep and little food.

"Two reasons: 1.) I want more food, and you can thank me later because 2.) I want to find Bigfoot."

"What?!" Everyone began to freak out a bit.

"Relax! We're the Neo-Sailor Senshi. We'll be fine. Bigfoot is bound to be hoarding tons of food. Don't you all want some extra breakfast?" Christen guilt-tripped the girls into listening to their stomachs.

"What if it finds us first?" Crystal questioned her hotheaded friend. Her blue eyes were wide with fear of what Bigfoot could do if they could not stop it.

"Run. Let's hope for now it's not home."

"How are we supposed to know what its home even looks like?" Holly questioned.

"It thinks like a combination of a human and ape, so keep an eye out for any primitive dwellings," Christen suggested. Even without her books to consult, she might know what she was talking about.

"I don't think taking food from Bigfoot is the best option." Despite her gurgling stomach, Jewel did not feel like becoming cheap, beaten leather this morning.

"While I concur with you, Princess Jewel. Therefore, if it's home, we'll keep picking fruits ourselves." Star seemed to get everyone else to agree with her.

If nothing else, the walk did present a slightly more plentiful harvest. However, the girls did not realize they had gotten lost! They had stuck to the marked path. However, their family had camped off the trail, so following it would only lead them in a large circle! Still, they tried not to panic. After all, they knew how to survive in the wilderness...for a few days! First things first. Build a fire, but best to find a shelter to build a fire under...

"Look!" Dawn pointed to an old log cabin!

Christen lightly pushed on the door, which swung inward a little, "It's unlocked..." While it is not right to walk into an unknown place, mainly if it is someone's home. Nevertheless, the filthy teenagers were cold and hungry. Moreover, inside the cabin was warm from a roaring fire!

"It's so warm, dry, cozy, and smells like cookies!" Alexis squealed as she looked around for the source of the sweets baked smell.

"We shouldn't be eating someone else's food. Let's focus on getting warm and dry." Holly sat down near the fire. The teen then began wringing out her short, light blond hair. It was only slightly damp, but drying it was necessary so as not to catch a cold.

Huddling close to the fire and each other, the Neo-Sailor Senshi decided they would wait out the storm here. "What will we say when whoever lives here shows up?" Emily demanded Christen with hesitation in her voice.

"Since not telling anyone what happened got us into this mess? Then should start telling the truth. Hopefully, that will convince whoever lives here to help us out." Trisha glared at Christen with her dark red eyes, exactly like her mother's.

"What?! Am I supposed to apologize for not telling our parents about a little, simple, black clump of hair we found out in the middle of nowhere?! I'm sorry if I thought we might be considered insane if we mentioned it! None of this is my fault!" Christen argued.

Despite the valid points of how many things are Christen's fault in this "adventure," the group is exhausted from walking all day and quickly fell asleep. It was impossible to tell how much time had passed. Yet the timekeeper's daughter Trisha had always been a light sleeper. She woke up to find herself in her sleeping bag in front of her tent! All her friends were in the same position! Glancing around, Trisha saw Bigfoot footprints leading to each of the girls. Had that log cabin been its home?

Why did it bring them back instead of just killing them?
