Captain America/OC Steve Rogers was approached by SHIELD about a rescue mission. He turned it down until he was told who it was that was missing. Agent Warner, an enhanced, that works with Shield. Also one of the first people he was quickly realizing that he would be devastated if he lost. Better summary inside. Pre-Avengers Assemble.

Summary

This is a Captain America and OC story.

Agent Warner, code name Sapphire has been an agent with shield since she was very young. She was captured by Russian terrorist group while on a black ops mission. Shield receives her SOS and they need the best to rescue her. Steve Rogers at first said no to the mission, until he realized who it was that was taken. It was the Agent that was first there with him and helped him get adjusted to the new world. That would stop in and just be someone that didnt treat him like a super hero. And also, someone that he was quickly realizing he couldnt live without.

This story will start before the first avengers movie, and will then cover the first avengers movie.

Remember that this is fanfiction. Some things will be the same. Some things will be different.

There are elements of x-men references in this.
