Chapter 23

"You want to see my technique?"

Suiryu got curious, at the same time, from what he heard from Gojo, that curiosity only grew. In fact, Yuuji even dropped by to see what was going on. "If you don't mind, Chusi. I heard you were sparring with the non jujutsu sorcerers we train around here…"

"You didn't see her technique then?" Sukuna demanded. "Then again, had you, I doubt you would have understood it."

"So what is it?" Yuuji asked curiously.

She smiled. "Soul manipulation!"

Suiryu… paused. "Soul… manipulation?" he asked in a confused tone.

"She makes that curse Mahito look like an amateur." Sukuna stated. "At the same time, it mainly her soul she is manipulating… look at her necklace."

Suiryu then noticed it was the necklace mom made and gave her. "This is the base of my technique in order for it to work. You see, I have many abilities when it comes to the soul. The main one I can use on myself, I lock my curse technique into this locket on my necklace, it maintains it until I draw it back into my body again. It's how I can have both a technique and heavenly restrictions." She explained. "Now the beads on my necklace… is where I can put other techniques. For example this one here, this is Gojo's" she explained.

Suiryu peered and saw the bead on her necklace turned a light, crystal blue. All the other beads appeared to be black until they contain a technique. "I can use this technique, yet with a twist. Yet once I do, I have to replace it again… unless I kill that sorcerer and take the technique for myself…"

'Damn…' Suiryu thought instantly. 'She's like Sukuna too!'

"So… she can pretty much be you, without curse marks?" Suiryu asked.

"Toorus haven't been able to forge them… until now."

"What?!" Chusi demanded. "You mean…"

Sukuna nodded. "She died once before, after putting Ryujin into the brat there." He said and pointed to Yuuji. "However, she came back through him," and pointed to Suiryu. "At the same time, there are other elements that I have not been made aware of…"

"Basically, since she came back through me, she could obtain curse marks?" Suiryu asked curiously.

"That's the only way I see this happening." Sukuna stated. "She needed that bit of… me in a sense to accomplish such a thing… huh… never thought I had THIS kind of influence around here…"

"It's no wonder, you helped make this domain!" Chusi said and smiled. "Sometimes when one put their heart and soul into making such a place, their power and influence those who live here…"

"About that, when I found this place, there were still people inside of it!" Suiryu protested.

Chusi paused, but sighed. "No one told them it was safe to leave…" she sighed. "Ryoto and I were going to do so, but… you know…" she muttered the last part.

"Shit…" came out of Suiryu and Yuuji.

"They were released, not to worry and they went peacefully." Suiryu insisted. Yet, he kept peering at her oddly. "There's something you aren't telling us about your technique…" he said offhandedly.

"Knew it…" Sukuna muttered. "You knew she has an ultimate technique huh?"

"Rather obvious…" Suiryu muttered. "Question is, what is it?"

Sukuna smirked. "You never knew her nickname from back in the day… Chusi was known as a vessel destroyer."

"Huh?!"

He snickered to the notion as Chusi giggled as well. "Let me explain, you know the process that when a sorcerer takes over another body, they tend to destroy the previous owner of it. However, that's not the case." She explained. "They HAVE to have some of the original soul within the body, or the body won't operate properly. My ultimate technique was this. If I knew you had taken over another person… I cast a domain around you. If I know your name and speak it aloud, I could strike that sorcerer out of the body."

Suiryu and Yuuji stood there, completely and utterly confused. "What?!" they both demanded.

Sukuna sighed. "Let me explain it like this brats, had I still been within you, she casts her jujutsu and calls me out, I could be bitch slapped out of the body without a fight!" he stated. "She is that strong. No doubt she could have knocked some sense into me…"

"You know that wasn't possible Ryomen." Chusi said. "After all, Tooru women have no curse energy when they are pregnant."

It suddenly became very silent.

In fact, Suiryu has never seen Sukuna's face drain of color like that before.

"What did you just say…"

"Hey, how about we go look at those fancy flush toilets again!" Suiryu called as he tried to change the subject.

"What do you mean Ryomen, you knew I was pregnant! I told you before you went off into battle, telling you to return home to us… you do remember, don't you?"

His face went blank, Sukuna said not a word as he stood, and walked into the woods.

"Uh… I don't think he remembered THAT part." Suiryu said offhandedly.

"He… he was going to be a father?!" Yuuji asked in a disgusted tone. "I mean…"

Chusi suddenly appeared worried. "He… didn't remember?"

"At the moment, what he could recall before going insane is spotty at best… shit… I wonder if I should have said something sooner…"

Suiryu then paused as Yuuji stared at him with his jaw dropped. "YOU KNEW?!" he demanded.

"Of course I KNEW. I was created after the fact remember!? I didn't mention it since… well… I maybe an asshole, but I am not that BIG of an asshole!" he pouted a little. "Why do you think I made up those thousand year old virgin jokes on him, he didn't correct me otherwise… so to me, it meant, he didn't remember."

Chusi stared at Suiryu oddly. "Despite all he has done, you didn't torment him with this?"

"Tch, not like he would have believed me otherwise." Suiryu protested. "Besides, wouldn't that make you even MORE pissed that he ate you!"

She shook her head to him. "No, because this is the kind of suffering I would hope he never has to endure… I didn't realize how much he forgot about us, the family… everything!" she said.

"I didn't even believe he had a good side, after what he has put us through… even my best friends…" Yuuji said.

Chusi sighed. "He's not perfect, I am more than aware of that. But at the same time, I know who I fell in love with, I loved Ryomen for how he carried himself, despite being different, he had dignity and self worth. My family saw that too and wanted to help ensure he knew he mattered. Not because he was strong and powerful, but how he made the lives around him better. He was a good man… I know that in my heart of hearts."

She went silent. Suiryu saw her lip quiver. "Are you… going to be okay?" Yuuji asked gently.

"I… I will… but… Ryomen…"

"He won't go insane if you are worried about that, despite the fact he has no jujutsu, he won't fall into madness," Suiryu explained.

"Can… can you promise me, that… you will keep an eye on him? When he's like this, it's best that no one approaches him."

Suiryu nodded, so did Yuuji. "How about you stay with Yua and Gojo sensei? Just until he clears his head." Yuuji suggested.

She nodded, Chusi left without another word, and yet, Suiryu was rather taken aback. "Shit man," he muttered. "What more are we going to learn about the bastard?"

Yuuji shook his head to it all. "If anything, I'll judge him by how he reacts when he settled down from it,"
