Makoto sat on the train as it chugged along the tracks, cutting through the Japanese countryside on its way to Tokyo. She stared out the window, lost in thought. She thought about her upcoming mission with Ann and couldn't help but feel a little anxious. But more than that, she felt a deep sense of sadness that she would never see Ren again.

Ren had been gone for a few years now, and every time Makoto thought about him, she felt a pang in her heart. She missed him terribly, his kind eyes, his gentle smile, the way he always

knew how to make her feel better. It was hard to believe that he was really gone.

Keep thinking… keep remembering…

Makoto tried to shake off her melancholy thoughts and focused on the scenery passing by outside. The train was moving fast now, and she could see the countryside slipping away, replaced by the urban sprawl of Tokyo. She wondered what Ann had in store for her, but she

trusted her friend implicitly.

As the train pulled into Tokyo Station, Makoto grabbed her bag and stepped onto the platform.

She felt a jolt of excitement as she looked around the bustling station, taking in the sights and sounds of the city she used to call home.

She had always loved Tokyo, with its bright lights and endless possibilities. But it was also a city full of memories, both good and bad. She thought about her sister Sae, who was probably too busy with work to see her, and felt a twinge of sadness. They had grown apart over the years, and Makoto missed the closeness they used to share.

But she couldn't dwell on that now. She had a job to do. She made her way to the designated meeting spot and saw Ann waiting for her, looking as beautiful and confident as ever.

"Makoto! It's so good to see you," Ann said, giving her a warm hug.

"It's good to see you too," Makoto replied, feeling a little better already.

Ann filled her in on the details of their mission as they made their way through the busy streets of Tokyo. They were going after a powerful target, a corrupt college professor who was using his position to enrich himself at the expense of his students. Ann had already scoped out his Palace, but she needed Makoto's help to infiltrate it and steal his treasure.

As they walked, Makoto couldn't help but notice how different Tokyo seemed now. It was still a city of bright lights and endless possibilities, but it was also a city of shadows and secrets. She wondered how many Palaces were hidden in plain sight, how many people were suffering because of the distorted desires of others.

But for now, she focused on the task at hand.

As Makoto and Ann left the train station, Ann asked, "Hey, do you want to grab a drink at this bar I know before we head to our hotel?"

Makoto hesitated for a moment before answering, "Sure, that sounds nice." She was feeling a bit nervous about the upcoming infiltration, and a drink might help her relax.

They walked into the bar, sat down, ordered drinks. Ann asked, "So how have things been since we last talked? Any new cases or clients?"

Makoto took a sip of her drink and replied, "It's been busy, but nothing too exciting. Mostly just routine legal work. Well, routine for me, I guess."

Ann nodded, taking a sip of her own drink. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I feel like most of the time I'm executing the same script in my life, which doesn't change all that much. Except when I'm stealing hearts!" Makoto looked around to make sure that no-one overheard that, but then realized that a woman saying she 'steals hearts' wasn't that unusual.

Makoto nodded in agreement. "But at least we're making a difference in people's lives, right?"

"Exactly," Ann said, raising her glass in a toast. "To making a difference."

As they finished their first round of drinks, Ann turned to Makoto and asked, "So, are you ready for tomorrow?"

Makoto took a deep breath, steeling herself for the task ahead. "As ready as I'll ever be. I just hope we can pull this off without any problems."

Ann smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, we've done this before. We'll be fine."

Makoto nodded, feeling grateful for Ann's confidence in her. "Thanks. I really appreciate your help with this."

Ann waved her hand dismissively. "No need to thank me. We're friends, and friends help each other out. Plus, it's always more fun to work together."

Makoto couldn't help but smile at Ann's words. She was grateful to have a friend like her.

As they finished their drinks, they paid the bill and headed back to their hotel. As they walked, they discussed the details of the infiltration, going over their plan one last time before heading to bed to get some rest before the big day.

"Hey," Ann started, "Do you think I could stay at your hotel room with you? I'd love to not have to sleep alone tonight."

Makoto thought for a moment. She didn't mind sharing her room with Ann, and it would be nice to not be alone, to have a sleepover like they used to.

"Sure, you can stay with me," Makoto said with a smile. "Let's go."

"Awesome!" Ann said, "I'm excited!" They left the bar and walked the few blocks to the hotel together, chatting and laughing on the way. At the hotel, they took the elevator up to the fourth floor and walked to Makoto's room.

When they got to the room, Makoto unlocked the door and they went in. Ann dropped her purse on the floor and flopped down on the bed. Makoto sat down next to her.

"Well, we should probably get some sleep," Makoto said, standing up. "We have a big day tomorrow."

Ann noded, getting up from the bed. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks for letting me stay with you, Makoto. I don't know what I would've done if I had to sleep alone tonight."

Makoto smiled. "No problem. Just... try not to snore, okay?"

Ann laughed. "I won't, I promise."

They both got ready for bed and climbed under the covers. Makoto could feel Ann's warmth next to her, and it was comforting. She closed her eyes and tried to relax, knowing that tomorrow would be a long day.

Makoto awakens in the middle of the night to find Ann's arms draped around her. At first, Makoto feels comforted by the warmth of Ann's embrace, but as she becomes more alert, she becomes aware that Ann is not still, and of Ann's hands wandering over her body.

Makoto lay there, motionless and pretending to sleep, as Ann's hands traced over her body. It felt strange to her, but also a little bit nice. Makoto tried to focus on her breathing, to remain calm and not give away that she was awake.

Ann's hands continued to explore her body, and Makoto could feel her heart beating faster. Ann's soft fingers traced the side of Makoto's breast where it was accessible from her loose tank top, then down her side, then over the curve of her butt…

Makoto's heart raced as Ann's hands moved further around to her front, and she felt a rush of excitement when Ann's fingertips brushed against the sensitive skin between her thighs. She tried to keep her breathing steady and her body still, pretending to be asleep, but her heart was pounding in her chest.

Then, Ann's touch became bolder, more insistent, and Makoto's body began to respond. She felt herself growing wet with desire, and a soft moan escaped her lips. Ann continued her exploration, trailing her fingers up and down Makoto's inner thighs and teasing her swollen lips.

Makoto felt a surge of pleasure as Ann's fingers slipped inside her, and she had to fight to keep from moaning again. The sensation was almost overwhelming, and she felt herself growing hotter and wetter with every passing moment. She was lost in a haze of desire, unable to think of anything but the pleasure that was building within her.

And then, Ann's touch changed. Makoto felt her shift position, and then she felt the warm, wet pressure of Ann's mouth against her most sensitive spot. She gasped, unable to keep pretending to be asleep any longer, and she reached down to run her fingers through Ann's hair.

Ann's tongue was soft and teasing at first, flicking back and forth over Makoto's clit, but then it grew more insistent, more demanding. Makoto felt her body convulse with pleasure, and she cried out, her fingers tightening in Ann's hair. The pleasure was almost too much to bear, but she didn't want it to stop. She was lost in a storm of sensation, swept away by the intensity of her desire.

Makoto felt a moment of hesitation as Ann shifts her body, positioning herself with her hips over Makoto's face. She has never done this before, but the idea of pleasuring Ann in this way excites her. She feels Ann's breath hot and heavy between her legs, and she shivers with anticipation.

Ann starts to move her own body, grinding her hips against Makoto's mouth, while Makoto licks and kisses her eagerly. It seemed natural to Makoto, almost like kissing. The sensation of Ann's wetness on her tongue makes Makoto's own arousal build, and she finds herself moaning softly into Ann's folds.

As Ann's movements become more urgent and her breathing more ragged, Makoto reaches up to stroke her thighs, pulling her closer and deeper into her own mouth. She feels Ann's hand reach down to grasp her own hair, pulling her closer as she writhes with pleasure.

Makoto loses herself in the sensation of Ann's body against hers, the taste and feel of her skin, and the sound of her moans of pleasure. As Ann reaches her peak, Makoto feels her own body shudder with the intensity of the moment.

As Ann collapses on top of her, Makoto feels a sense of contentment and closeness between them. She realizes that their friendship has evolved into something more, something deeper and more intimate.

Makoto twirled her coffee spoon between her fingers as she and Ann sat across from each other in the cafe. The light chatter of the morning crowd mixed with the sound of sizzling bacon and the occasional clanging of dishes. Makoto felt unsure about what had happened last night, and she couldn't help but bring it up to Ann.

"Ann, about last night..." Makoto started, her voice trailing off as she searched for the right words.

Ann looked up from her coffee cup and met Makoto's gaze. "Yeah, Makoto?"

Makoto took a deep breath before continuing. "I just wanted to say that I'm not sure what happened, and I don't know how to feel about it."

Ann leaned forward, her expression softening. "Makoto, you don't have to feel any certain way about it. We both wanted it, and it happened. It's as simple as that."

Makoto nodded, but she still felt uneasy. "I just don't want things to be weird between us now."

Ann took Makoto's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Trust me, Makoto. It won't be weird between us. We can go back to being friends if that's what you want. Or if you want something more, we can explore that too."

Makoto felt a flutter in her chest at the thought of exploring something more with Ann, but she pushed it aside for now. "I just need some time to process everything, I guess. But thank you, Ann. You are a good friend."

Ann smiled warmly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Of course, Makoto. That's what friends are for."

"Have you done that kind of thing with a woman before?" Makoto asked.

Ann took a sip of her coffee before answering. "Yeah, I have. Plenty of times, actually. I've always been open to trying new things, and sometimes that means being with a woman."

Makoto nodded slowly, taking in the information. "I see. Apparently, you like being with women okay?"

Ann shrugged. "It was different than being with a man, obviously. But I enjoy it! I like exploring new things." She smiled big. "You were great, by the way!"

Makoto blushed, inwardly glowing at the praise but still feeling uncertain about everything. "I'm just not sure if I'm comfortable with it. I mean, it felt nice last night, but it's just so different from anything I've ever done before."

Ann reached across the table and took Makoto's hand. "It's okay to feel unsure. And it's okay if you never want to do it again. We can just pretend it never happened if that's what you want."

Makoto squeezed Ann's hand, grateful for her understanding. "Thank you, Ann. I really appreciate it. I just need some time to figure things out."

Ann smiled reassuringly. "Of course, take all the time you need. And if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here for you."

They finished their breakfast in comfortable silence, both lost in their own thoughts. As they left the cafe, Makoto felt a weight lifted off her shoulders, knowing that she had a friend like Ann who would always be there for her.
