Peach chapstick.

Aqua knew what to expect. He had seen his sister apply it during her morning routine for the past few months. Had seen her apply it earlier today. It was what he expected to taste when their lips connected.

He didn't expect the softness that came with it. The feeling of hesitance that was conveyed through their connected lips. Didn't expect the miniscule shiver that ran up his body until it seemed to reach the focal point between them.

There was a tiny nudge forward from Ruby. Their lips pressing together ever more slightly. Each and every cell in Aqua's body seemed to be hyper focused on feeling everything that it possibly could. He didn't do it on purpose, but his tongue betrayed him, brushing over Ruby's lips and feeling every single invisible ridge and bump they held. One's not even visible when directly in front of the idol. One's that could only ever be exposed from this form of intimacy.

He both felt it more than heard the soft gasp of surprise that his sister emitted upon his action. Felt the shudder that ran up her body much in the exact same way that happened to himself just moments prior.

They parted slowly, achingly so. As if a large movement would spell either of their demise. Her eyes sparkled the same color of her namesake. They held each other's gaze, giving Aqua a chance to take in her entire face. Her cheeks were flushed prettily, a contrast against her fair skin that seemed to only highlight her looks. She was panting slightly, not so much to be noticeable, but enough so that it drew his eyes back downwards to her lips. The tiniest huffs of her warm breath against his skin felt enchanting.

His own cheeks felt hot and he seemed to be similarly out of breath. He knew, logically, that it couldn't have lasted longer than a few moments, but it was as if all his reserves had been drawn out by her. It was an intoxicating feeling, one that he could so easily indulge just by closing the gap between them-

"And cut! Great scene! That'll be a wrap!" A voice boomed throughout the studio.

Aqua blinked and all his previous feelings washed away, his face returning to its normal blank slate. Any hint of his previous flush or irregular breathing was gone, all that was left was the quiet satisfaction of a job well done.

A few cheers and plenty of applause sounded from the various cast members and backstage crew. They were celebrating the finishing of the recording. The final scene and the climax of the film.

"Yahoo!" His sister cheered from beside him. She joined in on the clapping.

Like him, there wasn't a trace of her earlier state. She was animated with a wide smile on her face.

The director stepped onto the scene laughing boisterously.

"Haha! I don't know why anyone hasn't tried casting you two together yet. That was one of the cleanest filmings I've done so far!" He exclaimed.

"That's the power of the Ruby-Aqua duo!" Ruby declared, matching the director's jubilant energy with a pose.

Aqua audibly hummed. It was the first time the twins had been cast for the same thing, much less as the two leads. It wasn't for a full length film, rather it was a short film. Despite short films tending to be more subdued in exposure, the cast and crew were relatively high profile.

Regardless, his sister had a point. They played off each other well and any hiccups that formed during sessions were quickly ironed out. A testament to not only their skills as actors but also those behind the scenes.

"Aye aye. Twin stars and all."

Ruby was an idol. He was an actor. While he would constantly be critical of his own skills, Ruby was not necessarily as skilled as those who spent their lives honing their acting. Prodigies like Arima Kana or Akane Kurokawa who drew people in from each and every word they said, to their gestures and how they used the entirety of their bodies to become their character.

Ruby had a different skill set. She had a magnetic pull to her. One that couldn't be explained in simple words. Eyes were drawn to her simply because of the energy she radiated. It was a charisma that couldn't so easily be replicated just by becoming a character.

And Aqua, who had lived together with that his entire life, could work off it.

His twin hummed happily to herself, bouncing minutely on the heels of her feet.

Aqua turned towards the director. "Thank you for casting us. We enjoyed being a part of this." He said. He had already

said his thanks before when they initially started, but the ritual was essential to keep good connections to people.

The director smiled at him. The older man opened his mouth to respond before a very loud grumbling interrupted him.

Aqua slowly turned his head to look at his sister, the one who had suddenly frozen with a bright blush slowly rising up her face.

The director mirrored his action, guffawing loudly upon seeing the perpetrator.

"Ah… W-Well it's just been a long day and you know we didn't eat too much for breakfast…" His sister stammered out, embarrassed at how her stomach exposed her hunger.

Aqua sighed. "Maybe if someone didn't wake up late we could have had more time to eat." He said, unable to resist the jab at his sibling.

Ruby pouted. "That's not fair! I had to finish the latest volume of Overlord otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sleep!"

He opened his mouth to retort about how that was entirely her own fault when his own stomach decided to betray him with an equally loud growl.

Aqua pursed his lips at the unfortunate timing. The slow look of realization followed by the smug smile Ruby was throwing his way was enough to make his eye twitch.

"Haha!" The director laughed loudly. "I get it, I get it. Save the small talk for after. How about you two get changed back into your regular clothes and we can meet up in thirty for a celebratory team dinner?"

"Really? Yay!" Ruby shouted before grabbing Aqua's hand and rushing the two of them towards the designated changing rooms.

Aqua let himself be pulled along. He wondered how the finished short film would look.

It was some time before the film was fully edited and finished. The team met back up for a pre-release watch. The director had booked an unused auditorium for the showing. It wasn't something typical for a regular film but in cases where the cast and crew were more intimate, as it often was in short films, occasionally there would be one last get together to watch the finished product.

Aqua naturally sat next to his sister.

When the lights dimmed and the movie started to play. He let his critical mind analyze things as he watched. Objectively it was well directed. They captured many of his and Ruby's good angles, highlighting their features and framing them well. The acting was, as Aqua knew, good. The chemistry the twins displayed was evident throughout each scene.

The film seemed to pass quickly until the end, the climatic scene where the two characters would kiss.

There was a vague sense of discomfort that welled up within him when the scene started. He felt strangely like a voyeur, an odd feeling considering that it was him on screen. The pair hadn't kissed yet, but when they leaned in Aqua had opted to close his eyes instead of watching it.

Despite his efforts. The scene replayed in his head, only from his memories rather than the screen. He remembered pressing his lips upon his sister's. The feeling of warmth and the taste of peach dancing upon his lips. How the small tiny ridges of her lips felt when he brushed his tongue against it and the intoxicating feeling of breathlessness when they parted.

He swallowed at the sudden dryness of his mouth. When he opened his eyes, the kiss was over, but he could hardly concentrate on the screen himself.

A quick glance towards Ruby seemed to indicate that she was sharing none of the troubles that he was having.

Aqua quietly sighed and pushed down the odd emotions. They were brother and sister. That was that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aqua stared down at the offending piece of paper. It was a cast list of a new full length romance film that he was starring in. He was the male lead, a step up from his previous short film.

It wasn't as if there was any problems with the person directing it, or the content of the film itself. His ire lay solely at a single person who was cast beside him.

Female lead: Hoshino Ruby.

Haha I am a degenerate. Twincest! At the very least I'm trying to make this SOMEWHAT believable. Or at least make the deeds match the scenario. If there's any mistakes let me know cuz I wrote this at literally 3-5am since I couldn't sleep.

UPDATE Uhhhhh maybe next week bye
