Yay, finally done with the semester!

I finally have free time and this is something that won't leave me alone, so here you go!

The night was, fortunately, serene as Danny flew through the air above the rooftops. As there wasn't anything that needed his immediate attention, Phantom or Fenton, he took the opportunity to enjoy the night via flight.

"Homework done, lack of ghost fights, parents are doing their date night, and tonight's Friday. All in all, it's a good night," the boy said to himself, doing a loop. His good mood was interrupted by the chill of his ghost sense, causing him to groan in annoyance.

Well, so much for a peaceful night.

Scanning his surroundings, he eventually spotted the perp- perps that had set off his ghost sense: ghostly rats, over a dozen of them, with glowing, green fur and beady, red eyes roaming the streets, raiding trash cans, gnawing car tires, and, overall, making themselves a nuisance.

"Huh, there really is such thing as ghost rats," Danny mused to himself, remembering one of his dad's many blathering about ghosts, floating down to take care of the undead rodents, "should be a piece of cake."

They turned out to be much harder that anticipated as the rats, which were the size of house cats, gave a fight and used their numbers to swarm the ghost boy.

"Down Remy!" Danny seized the rat that attempted to gnaw his face off, using it to batter away the others. "Maybe I should stop by Vlad's and borrow his cat."

A laser blast rocketed past his shoulder, zapping the rat that was about to pounce Danny's head, stunning the beast. The ghost boy glanced to where the shot had originated, and promptly blushed as the mystery helper stepped out from the shadows.

She- definitely female- was clad in a black, skin-tight suit that was cat themed, a mix of several cat-themed figures from comics, but had her own flair to the look. The boots came up to her thighs in a point, with matching gloves that reached her biceps. The belt that she wore was a darker grey that matched the collar of her suit. The collar had a pink, paw-print fastener in the front that matched the shade of the edgings of her boots, gloves, ears -which were part of the cowl- and belt, and the silky bow that held long, dark tresses of hair in a pony tail. Clipped to her belt were oh so familiar gadgets to the ghost boy.

God above, please help this poor boy. This girl's gorgeous!

Wielding a Fenton Lipstick Laser ᵗᵐ in one hand, the cat girl fired at three other rats while drawing out a Fenton Rod ᵗᵐ , giving it a twirl as the lipstick was tucked away, swatting away the rats with ease.

A gorgeous girl kicking butt: Danny may have found his dream girl. His beautiful companion made it hard to focus on the pests.

She eventually reached the stunned ghostly hero, giving her rod a twirl before sending the ghost boy a wink. "Meow."

Unfortunately, the little moment was interrupted as more ghostly rats came out, looking angry and hungry.

"Playtime's over: the kitty's here," the cat girl said, holding the rod in a ready stance, at this point Danny snapped out of his trance.

The duo made quick work of the rats, Danny using the Thermos to trap the vermin. Just as the lid was snapped on, two arms encircled him as the cat girl embraced him from behind.

"Hello Ghost Boy," the cat girl purred, batting her teal eyes at him.

"I-I, er," Danny stuttered, unable to form a coherent sentence, then something clicked inside his mind at the familiar voice and eyes. "Paulina?!"

"Aww, you figured it out," the newly revealed Paulina pouted, then smirked as she traced his jawline, "I shouldn't be surprised though, that the pretty face comes with a good mind." She pronounced 'pretty' as 'purr-etty'.

Danny gulped, face growing hot. "Uh… w-why are you here? And how did you get that equipment?" He questioned, looking at the gear stowed safely on her waist. Aside from the lipstick and rod, he could also pick out the Jack-o-nine tails ᵗᵐ and a Fenton Ghost Fisher ᵗᵐ .

"You remember when Danny Fenton led a rescue when the adults were abducted? Well his parents weren't very thorough in retrieving their equipment," she explained, releasing him from the embrace to give him a twirl, then posed. "I made some adjustments to the jumpsuit, you like?"

Now that she mentioned it, he could now see that it was indeed one of the jumpsuits that his parents had made. "Um…"

"What's the matter, cat got your tongue?"

Danny gave a snort in amusement, "I hope not, as it would be quite a catastrophe."

"It would. I wouldn't be able to hear your purrfectly charming voice."

A gorgeous girl that kicks butt and has cat puns?! Danny may have found his soulmate!

"You still didn't answer why you're here."

"You're always working so hard to protect the town, and by yourself for most of the time," the girl said, her face giving a genuine smile, "I just wanted to show my gratitude and give a lending paw."

Danny gave another snort, "you're really going for the cat theme, aren't you? Getting involved in the fights would be risky though-"

"I can take care of myself," Paulina said, crossing her arms. "I've taken some self-defense classes, amongst other things as well as do cheerleading."

"I don't think that quite qualifies you for being the next Kim Possible," Danny snarked.

"Maybe not, but everyone has to start somewhere," she stated, she then sauntered up to the ghost boy, pressing herself against him as she mussed his hair, "you can most certainly show me the ropes, and you'll have some backup. It's a win-win scenario, the way I see it."

Danny gulped, his face turning warm, red and glowing ever brighter. He's going to need a cold shower at this point. "A-and what do y-you win, exactly?"

Paulina leaned forward, her lips ghosting his ear, "I get to give my hero the help he deserves~" she whispered, the smirk evident in her voice.

The blood was rushing to his face, which was now a fog light in luminance, and was threatening to rush to other places as well. First chance he got, he's making enough snow and ice to bury himself.

God above, please help this boy.

After what felt like an eternity, she finally released the poor, flustered boy as she strutted off, kicking up her feet enough to show that the soles of her boots had paw prints, "See you around Danny~"

"W-what did you say?!" Danny stuttered out.

The girl paused in her retreat, sending the boy a coy, and somehow knowing look, "Danny. That is your name, right: Danny Phantom?"

"Oh!" Danny chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his head, "yeah, of course! That's me!"

Paulina gave a giggle, then gave a little wave as she disappeared around the corner.

As soon as she was out of sight, Danny shot a blue blast of energy into the sky, which came back down as a large pile of snow that buried the boy.

Headcanon: Danny has, literally, a luminescent blush. He blushes red in ghost form like any other person, but the ectoplasm causes him to glow more.

This may be something I might continue in the future, but for now this is a one shot and anyone that wishes to continue it can to so.
