Rebel Against the Female-Supremacy World

Morgana: "Boy, I still can't believe it's been nearly six months since we left Tokyo. Are you as excited to see everyone as I am, Ren?"

Ren looks down at the black feline and pets his head, making Morgana purr.

Ren: (smiles) "Morgana, I don't think I could've been any more excited. Ever since that last mission with Maruki's reality, things have gotten awfully boring for me. I mean, sure it's always been pretty dull here in the countryside, but...without any evil hearts to steal... (Sighs) it just...makes me wonder if I'll EVER return to the Metaverse again."

Igor: (chuckles) "Welcome to the Velvet Room, my young wild card. I must say, it's been quite some time since we've last met, hasn't it?"

Lavenza, the short girl to Igor's left, smiles as she nods in Ren's direction as he exits the cell.

Lavenza: (smiles) "Yes, welcome back, my dear trickster."

Ren: (surprised) "IGOR?! And… LAVENZA?!"

Loud Male Voice: (groans) "Uh, why do I feel like I crawled out of a… (Stammers) W-W-WHAT THE HELL!?"

Ren looked towards the cell to his right, as he knew good and well whose voice that was. But just before Ren could speak, he heard other voices as well, all feeling quite displeased with the first voice's loud reaction.

Annoyed Female Voice: "Ugh, do you ALWAYS have to be so loud Ryu... Wait, WHAT?! This isn't my room!"

Calm Male Voice: "Hmm? That's odd. I don't remember sleeping on a prison bed back at my dorm."

Innocent Female Voice: "Nor do I. But doesn't this place look... oddly familiar to anyone?"

Mature Female Voice: "Yeah... you're right. (realizes) Hold on, could that mean?!"

Spunky Female Voice: "Ooooooh. Didn't think I'd end up back here again."

Ren recognized every last one of those voices, as the owners of said voices started coming out of their open cells. Ren gasped in amazement as his assumptions WERE indeed correct. The people stepping out of the prison cells were Ren's old teammates. To Ren's left, and down the line of people, there stood Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Haru Okumura, Makoto Nijima, and Futaba Sakura. Ren was almost at a loss for words to see his whole team with him here in the Velvet Room. The very same friends he met during his probation in Tokyo and later became members of the Phantom Thieves as time passed.

Ren: (shocked) "G-GUYS?!"

Ryuji looked to his right, just as everyone else in the room did when they heard Ren's voice. They all became just as surprised as Ryuji did when they saw Ren.

Ryuji: (surprised) "R-REN?! I-Is that you, man?!"

Unknown Male Voice: "Ugh... What the?... I don't remember my bed being this hard."

Unknown Boy: "Huh? Now, wait... hold on just a moment. Contract? What are you talking about? I never signed any contract! And..., Furthermore, why would I be dreaming of a place like...this? And... WHY am I locked up in a jail cell OF ALL PLACES? ARGH, DAMN IT! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!"

The young boy tightens his grip on the handlebars as he yells all kinds of questions about why he was summoned.

With the new guest of the Velvet Room asking all sorts of questions, it led Ren and the Phantom Thieves with curiosities of their own. One of them being why was this unknown stranger summoned to the Velvet Room in the first place?

Makoto: (Sighs) "It seems that our mystery friend here needs to be brought up to speed, considering this is a new experience for him."

Ryuji: "Yeah, but...can you really blame him? I mean, we all needed at least *some* time to understand the whole process behind the Velvet Room AND Metaverse, right? It'd make sense why he feels so confused."

Morgana: (Smirks) "You mean like how it took *you* such a long time to understand everything, Ryuji?"

Ryuji: (Aggravated) "Oh, shaddap, Morgana!"

Yusuke: "Ryuji does make a fair point though. Whoever this boy is, he doesn't seem to know anything about Personas, the Metaverse, and especially not the Velvet Room. Therefore, saying it's a lot to take in is quite accurate, if I'm being honest."

Ren: (Nods) "Yeah, but...that still doesn't explain why he was summoned here in the first place. Still, knowing Igor and Lavenza... I'm sure they have their reasons. They're not the type to just randomly summon people without an ulterior purpose, especially since our new guest here doesn't seem to have made a contract yet."

Igor turned his head to the left to face the group before speaking.

Igor: (Chuckles) "Hehehehe, right you are, my young wild card."

Igor then turned his head back toward the unknown boy in the cell.

Igor: "As the tricksters before you have said, it will take some time before you can fully grasp your situation. But do not be alarmed. You will come to understand in due time. As for your summoning, I simply wish to discuss some important matters with you."

The unknown boy inside the cell grew confused with Igor's words.

Unknown Boy: (Confused) "Important matters? Like...what?"

Lavenza walked up to the boy, putting a stern look on her face, before speaking.

Lavenza: "You know very well what it is we're talking about. Especially since you yourself have become the biggest victim of your world's distortion during the last ten years. To the time where *it* had all begun."

Unknown Boy: "It?"

The boy in the cell gasped at her words and now knew exactly what she was referring to. However, upon picking up the meaning, he began to panic.

Unknown Boy: (Shocked) "Wait...You...You don't mean..."

Igor: "Indeed we do, my friend. To the day the so-called *White Knight* incident began, and how your world's "Infinite Stratos" has brought upon a great distortion."

The unknown boy gasped before sweating bullets of nervousness, knowing exactly what Igor and Lavenza were talking about. However, it did bring some curiosity among the members of the Phantom Thieves.

Haru: "Infinite..."

Sumire: "...Stratos?"

Ann: "White Knight Incident? What are they talking about? I don't recall anything like that happening."

Futaba: "Nor do I. Though if what Igor said is true about both this incident and "Infinite Stratos" bringing forth a worldwide dilemma, then I'm pretty sure we would've heard of it by now. Just who is this guy?"

Lavenza overheard the Phantom Thieves' questions and turned her head towards them.

Lavenza: "A boy from another world. One very akin to your own."

Ryuji stays silent for a moment, calming down, and nodding his head with a smile before speaking.

Ryuji: "OOOOOOHHHH, another world. Now it all makes sen-"

However, before Ryuji could finish, his mood changed from understanding to surprise. The other thieves all became just as shocked at Lavenza's words as he did.

Ryuji: "WAIT...WHAAAAAAAAT?!"

Ann: (shocked) "You mean...that boy in the cell is..."

Futaba: "...From an ALTERNATE EARTH?!"

Lavenza nodded with a smile.

Igor: "Indeed he is, my dear tricksters."

Igor taps his left foot on the rug as it begins to rotate 180 degrees clockwise, as both he and Lavenza are once again positioned in front of the group.

Igor: "The young man you see before you is indeed a resident of an Earth within a universe separate from your own."

The whole group of Phantom Thieves stood in silence for a moment, before they all shouted together.

All the Phantom Thieves: "WHAT?!"

Meanwhile, the boy from inside the cell was still in shock, thinking in his own thoughts until he heard what Igor said about him. With that, he gripped the handlebars of his cell before speaking.

Unknown Boy: (surprised)"Now, wait...hold on just a moment! You're telling me that all those other people, besides you two, are from an alternate world? How the hell did you even link our two universes together in the first place?! Furthermore, what do the affairs of my world have to do with theirs?"

Makoto snapped out of her surprised state before agreeing with what their mystery friend just asked.

Makoto: "I was...actually about to ask the same thing."

Igor: "Do you all remember what I said before about the Velvet Room? How it exists between dreams and reality, mind and matter? Such matter alone can even cross between dimensions and even parallel universes. Thus, bringing in individuals from two or more parallel dimensions is hardly a challenge for me."

Ryuji: (confused)"Uh, I don't think I get it."

Yusuke: (sighs) "Don't mind him. The linking of different universes aside, our friend here has asked another good question; What does his world have to do with ours? So much, to the point that you brought us all together?"

Makoto: (nods) "He has a point you know. Is his world gonna invade us or something like that?"

Igor: (chuckles) "Hehehe, oh no, nothing like that. Dimensional travel between both your real world and his has not ever been established. Or at least, not yet. Heh heh heh, oh how I find it fascinating you humans evolve yourselves over time."

Lavenza nods to her master and bows her head to him.

Lavenza: "Very true, Master. Very true indeed."

Both the Phantom Thieves and the mysterious boy felt a bit creeped out by how "fascinating" Igor described them and did not know whether they should feel complimented or creeped out. Either way, they could not help but cringe.

Ryuji: (disturbed) "Uh, thanks...I guess."

Ann plays with her left ponytail before speaking.

Ann: "I mean, he IS right about humans evolving as time goes on, so...I guess we should take that as a compliment...Perhaps?"

Sumire: "Let's not think too much about it Ann-Senpai. For our sanity."

Futaba: "Yeah, good idea. My memory of that last scene has been wiped. Gone. Deleted. Never heard. Good? Good."

The other Phantom Thieves shook their heads while Ren cleared his throat.

Morgana: "Human evolution aside, I think our world in itself is unrelated. The reason you brought us all here is that..."

Ren: "The Phantom Thieves are needed in another world, seeing as Igor mentioned how it became distorted, from this *White Knight incident*,it seems."

Lavenza turns her head back to Ren with a smile.

Lavenza: "That is correct, Young trickster. The world this boy has come from has been greatly distorted after the event in question has come into play, putting this young man through a game he alone cannot win."

Haru: "I see. So, what is the White Knight incident? And how did it make this other world a bad place?"

Makoto turns her head towards the unknown boy before continuing.

Makoto: (curious) "Would our mysterious friend here be willing to explain, by any chance?"

The unknown boy stutters.

Unknown Boy: (stutters) "W-W-Well. Uh...You see, it's..."

Lavenza turns her head towards the short-haired boy in the cell.

Lavenza: "Come now, you'd do a better job explaining it better than my master or I ever could. Don't try to hide it. Nor should you try hiding the fact as to how you became the greatest victim of what befell in your reality. Am I wrong?"

The unknown boy takes a step back with a nervous smile on his face before saying.

Unknown Boy: (nervously chuckles) "W-What? Heh heh heh. I'm sorry, but I think this is all a... misunderstanding, uh...Lavenza, was it?"

The unknown boy takes a deep breath, and clears his throat, before speaking again.

Unknown Boy: "Sure, I will admit that the Infinite Stratos and White Knight incident changed the old world as I originally knew it. However, it's not like the change was all THAT bad, right? I mean, it's not like I'm not living in some sort of... evil or corrupted empire you'd see in a video game or anime, so...What's the big deal?"

The unknown boy once again sweats as he chuckles, trying to put on a dumb act. However, Lavenza and Igor know deep down about the sort of pain their new visitor has been through, unlike the Phantom Thieves. Either way, no one in the Velvet Room is buying his act.

Ryuji: (skeptical) "Uh, dude, I don't know what sort of life you've been living, but...That look on your face just has false sh*t written all over it. What are Big Nose and Shorty here talking about when they say you've gone through some kind of hell and back?"

Yusuke nods before giving the unknown boy a deep stare.

Yusuke: "He's right. What, may I ask, are you trying to hide from us?"

Ann looks towards the boy with a pleading look, hoping to hear what he's been through.

Ann: "If someone or something is hurting you, then please tell us."

Haru: (nods) "Right? Whatever you're going through, we promise we can help. We just need to know what your situation is first."

The unknown boy starts sweating even heavier than usual trying to hide his secret.

Unknown Boy: "Uh...I...I... It's n-n-nothing...I swear. This old man and his assistant don't know what the hell they're talking about. I'm not suffering from anything. Heh heh heh heh, heh...heh..."

It's pretty obvious to everyone that the unknown boy was lying through his teeth. What they were curious about is not just whatever dirt Igor and Lavenza have on him, but why he is also trying to keep it all a secret. Ryuji starts recognizing his behavior as something he and Ren were investigating around the beginning of their time as Phantom Thieves. The blonde individual turns his head to Ren before speaking.

Ryuji: "Hey Ren,... Is he acting kind of..."

Ren: "Familiar? You mean like when Kamoshida's victims refused to speak up about their abuse? Yeah, I'm getting that sort of behavior from him as well."

Ryuji: "Yeah, but why? No one's gonna harm him for spilling. Nor could we even tell anyone about it either, seeing as he's from a different world and all. So... why is he trying so hard to keep quiet? Is his life... really not as bad as he says it is?"

Igor: (chuckles) "All excellent questions, young Chariot. And to put it bluntly..."

Lavenza: (serious) "The life this individual has faced is FAR worse than what any of you could imagine."

The Phantom Thieves felt even more curious and tense after Lavenza said that. All of this made them want to know even more about what it is their unknown friend is hiding, and why he refuses to talk.

Ann: "Uh, how bad are we talking, exactly?"

The unknown boy grips the bars of his cell and yells out to Igor and Lavenza.

Unknown Boy: (yells) "Hey, if you two got something to say, SAY IT! Prove to everyone just HOW my life is as bad as you claim it is!"

Lavenza turns her head towards him before turning serious.

Lavenza: (serious) "Show...proof? Are you certain that's what you want, trickster?"

The unknown boy became nervous after seeing Lavenza's face.

Unknown Boy: (nervous)"Um, why are you looking at me like that?"

Igor: "Hm, it seems we're not going to get anywhere if he refuses to cooperate, Lavenza."

Everyone turns their heads toward Igor, who looks up from his desk and turns his head to the unknown boy in the cage.

Igor: "With that said, it seems the only means we have to go forward..., is to show the distortion ourselves. If that is what our new guest wishes for...then it shall be done. Luckily, we have just the thing."

Everyone in the Velvet Room, except for Igor and Lavenza, became surprised after what they had just been told.

Unknown Boy: (shocked) "Wait...WHAT?! You can't be serious! What, did you enter my world without anyone's knowledge and steal something, old man?!"

Igor: (chuckles) "Heh heh heh heh heh. Oh no, not physically. However, thanks to your presence here, I am able to show the tricksters just what it is you had to go through...via your own memories."

The mysterious boy started to sweat with nervousness after hearing Igor's words. The young teenager puts on a fake smile before speaking, still acting like he has nothing to hide.

Unknown Boy: (sweating) "W-W-WHAT!? M-My memories?! I... find that an invasion of privacy pal. B-Besides, WHAT may I ask are you even going to show them my memories? I don't see any TVs in here, pal."

Igor: "With this, of course."

Igor snaps his fingers.

Igor: "BEHOLD!"

Just as Igor spoke, the entire Velvet Room started to shake. The thieves began to feel startled as if an earthquake had begun to hit.

Ann: "Whooooaaaa! What's goooiing on here?!"

Morgana: "Ahhhh! I don't know. Master Igor never did anything like this before, as far as I recall."

Futaba: "Well whatever it is...it sure is big.

Before anyone else could say anything, a giant blue vortex appeared in the air under the empty space next to Lavenza's left. As time passed, with the ground still shaking, something was slowly starting to come out of the portal. After a few moments, everyone was able to make out what the object was. It was a giant sky-blue crystal ball with a gold stand and three legs. As the crystal ball's legs touched the floor right next to Lavenza, the portal from up above disappeared and the shaking had come to a halt. The thieves were both bewildered and amazed at seeing the giant crystal ball Igor summoned into the Velvet Room.

Ryuji: (amazed)"Holy shit."

Haru: "Is that a... crystal ball? The type that's normally used in fortune-telling."

Ren: "Yeah, it seems like it."

Ann: (amazed) "Whoa. It's so beautiful."

Yusuke positioned his hands in the form of an imaginary camera.

Yusuke: "Oh, how I wished I had my sketch pad for beauty such as this."

Futaba sweat drops before turning her head at Yusuke with an annoyed look.

Futaba: "Focus, Inari. As pretty as that ball is, I highly doubt it's just for show."

Igor: "And right you are, young lady. This crystal ball here has already been linked with a copy of the memories our new guest has experienced. Since he has no intention of speaking up himself, I find it only natural that I show you myself with this very sphere."

The unknown boy starts freaking out, knowing that the skeletons he's hidden in his closet are about to be revealed.

Unknown Boy: (shakes) "No. Please, I..."

Lavenza turns toward the boy with a stern look.

Lavenza: "Silence, Inmate! Believe me, when I say, we didn't want to do this. But for not speaking up about your situation, you forced our hand! Now, be quiet! Go ahead, Master."

Igor: "Of course. I do have to warn you all; what you're about to see in these memories is NOT for the faint of heart."

Ryuji: "Pff, please, I think I've seen enough sh*t, in reality, to know that this can't be THAT bad. Bring it on!"

The rest of the Phantom Thieves' sweat dropped about what Ryuji said.

Makoto: (serious) "I wouldn't be so sure about that, Ryuji."

Haru: (nods in agreement) "Mako-Chan's right. We don't even know how similar or different this other world is. Or at least, not yet."

Morgana: "She's right. We shouldn't take this with a grain of salt until AFTER we find out what that boy's been hiding. That said, is everyone ready for this?"

Everyone else silently nodded their heads before Ren spoke up.

Ren: "We are. Go ahead, Igor. Show us what he's hiding."

Unknown Boy: (screams) "NNNOOOO!"

At long last, the truth of the unknown visitor's past will be revealed to the Phantom Thieves. What will they learn from his memories? What sort of world does the mysterious boy come from? What secrets is he trying to keep shut from the tricksters on this very evening? All answers are hoped to be revealed next time in Chapter 3: The Unjust World of Infinite Stratos.
