Nothing to say this time. Now Chapter 5.
Chapter 5
River Of Doubt
Steel Fang
On a large island with a lot of river pounds surrounding a massive marble city, that wasn't big in distance, but it was massive in height. In that city, in the throne room of the castle, two people, a man and a woman, were talking to someone.
This someone, was a southeast Asian woman, who was of average height, with a slender build, tan skin, short white hair with a side shave cut, with her hair covering the left side of her head, dark brown eyes, wearing a long white leather dress, and a gold choker around her neck. In her hands was a staff and in the tip of the staff was a Dragon Gem piece with a piece of metal in it.
"Chief Virana, we're running out of room. We need to expand to the mainland." The woman said to the white hair woman. "And how do you propose we handle the Druun, General Atitaya? Without proper protection, it would be a death sentence for our people." Virana said to the woman.
"I might have a solution for that, Mother." A voice said to Virana. That's when they noticed Namaari walking to everyone, and Virana gasped softly. "My little morning mist… Oh, it's good to see you home." Virana said to Namaari, as Namaari reached the table.
"I located Raya. She's out stealing gem pieces." Namaari said to everyone. "What?" Virana asked Namaari. "I'd like to take the royal army and intercept her in Ice Spine." Namaari said to Virana, making Virana scoff. "Well, if she's going into Ice Spine, I doubt there'll be much left of her to intercept." Virana said to Namaari.
"She's more capable than you realize. And she is traveling with a strange group. They had some kind of strange weapons and a strange lizard with them. We have to stop them." Namaari said to Virana, making Virana sigh. "Walk with me." Virana said to Namaari, leading Namaari outside.
Outside, Virana was walking around the edge of the city, with Namaari at her side, and the man woman following. "Look around. We made all this by making smart decisions, not emotional ones. We are safe. Our canal protects us from those monsters. I don't think it's wise to risk yourself when you don't have to." Virana said to Namaari.
"But you heard the general. We're running out of space. We need to expand. If we had all the gem pieces, we could do that safely. You're right. This isn't an emotional decision. It's the only decision we can make to secure Steel Fang's future." Namaari said to Virana, stopping Virana.
Virana thought about it for a few seconds, and looked at her gem piece. Then she chuckled a little. "Namaari, you're truly growing into the leader I raised you to be." Virana said to Namaari. "General Atitaya, ready the royal army for my daughter's command." Virana said to the woman, tapping her staff onto the ground. "Thank you, Mother. I won't let you down." Namaari said to Virana, holding her hands in a circle.
Kumandra's River
In the river, Raya was looking at the map, while Sisu was sitting at the front of the boat hugging her legs, Zym was still in the bag, the Pokeballs started to crack a little, and everyone else was dealing with the con-baby and the ongis running around the ship, eating everything and making a mess.
"Hey! Stop eating!" Boun said to them, making them scatter. "Please stop running around. This is not a playground." Drake said to them, as they knocked over the jar of very hot sauce into Tuk Tuk's food.
Tuk Tuk ate it, and it didn't agree with him. Tuk Tuk then ran to the side right in front of Raya. "Sorry, buddy, I got this." Raya said to Tuk Tuk, as she got up, and noticed the con-baby and the ongis throwing food at everyone. "Did you just throw a shrimp at me?" Boun asked them. "That's rude." Rayla said to them. "That's not even edible!" Boun said, as con-baby put a spoon in her mouth, and started to chew it.
"Hey! Uh… hey, guys? Do you wanna play hide-and-seek?" Raya asked the con-baby and the ongis, getting their attention. And they all wanted to. "All right. Ready?" Raya said, as she covered her eyes with her left hand. This made the con-baby and the ongis hide. "One. two." Raya said, as she moved one of her fingers, allowing her to see with her right eye.
"Thanks." Boun quietly said to Raya. "Two and a half." Raya said, as she moved to Sisu, with Kali nearby Sisu. "Three." Raya said, as she took a seat next to Sisu. "Remind me to never have kids." Raya said to Sisu. "Come on. They're not that bad. And my sister is going to have her first kid in a few months. So this is practice." Kali said to Raya. "And how's that going?" Raya asked Kali. "Far point." Kali said to Raya.
"Being people is hard." Sisu said, getting Raya and Kali's attention. "Yep." Raya said to Sisu. "Six. Seven" Raya said, keeping up the count. "You have small heads. No tails. You lie to get what you want, like the Electric Talon chief back there." Sisu said to everyone. "Yeah, well, the world's broken. You can't trust anyone." Raya said to Sisu. "Or maybe the world's broken because you don't trust anyone." Sisu said to Raya, making Raya chuckle softly.
"You sound just like my ba." Raya said to Sisu. "Well, he sounds like a smart man." Sisu said to Raya. "Yeah, he was. I really wanted to believe him. I really wanted to believe that we could be Kumandra again." Raya said to everyone. "And we can." Sisu said to Raya. "Literally thousands of people turned to stone would argue otherwise." Raya said to Sisu.
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't try." Sisu said to Raya. "And I did. And you know what happened? I got kicked in the back by someone who gave me a gift. Look around. We're a world of orphans because people couldn't stop fighting over a gem. Wanna know why other dragons and Pokemon didn't come back? It's because people don't deserve them." Raya said to Sisu.
"She has a point. The reason trust doesn't work is because everyone keeps hurting each other for one reason or another. It's the same back in my world. We've been fighting each other for so long, because of the choice of those who have been dead for a very long time. And now trust is an uneasy thing, and most people don't want it." Kali said to Sisu.
"But we can change that." Sisu said to Raya and Kali. "We're working on that. The chance of real peace only happened a few weeks ago. It's going to take some time." Kali said to Sisu. "As for me. I'm done trying. Kumandra is a fairy tale. The only thing important to me now is bringing my ba back." Raya said to everyone.
"Um… I think we're in Ice Spine." Boun said, making Raya, Sisu, and Kali, noticed a large, thick, dark, bamboo forest. And in between them and the land, was some broken bamboo in the water, and some bamboo barricades. "Look inviting, and very welcoming." Drake said to everyone, with a sarcastic voice.
Then Sisu stole some of Boun's congee and jumped across the broken bamboo. "Sisu!" Raya said. "Hey, my congee!" Boun said. "What is she thinking?" Drake asked, as Sisu reached the beach, and ran into the forest. "Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back." Raya said, as she took her sword and bag, and went after Sisu. "Wait for me! I want to get off this boat!" Rayla said, as she followed Raya.
"What should we do?" Callum asked everyone. "Find a place to dock. We need to go after them." Drake said to everyone. "On it." Boun said to Drake, and he moved the ship trying to find a place to dock the ship.
