We soared over the sky, away from the boiling isles, eventually reaturing a new site of islands: The Simmering Archipelago. It was almost like the Boiling Isles but there was a lot of blue and shit instead of red warm colors and the trees had beautifully depressing gray leaves that shimmered limpidly in the pallid sunlight. If I wasn't a goth and more of a touchy-sensitive emo who's a slut to my feelings, I might find it tragically beautiful. Instead, I rolled my eyes as the breeze fondled my hair as we drove in the air.
Eventually, we landed on a parking lot. We were greeted by all manner of new things: clothing stores, arcades, nightclubs... It was all the modernity I would see in my trips to the Human Realm but was deprived of in the Boiling Isles. Me and Marina turned our heads and saw the college; it was a big, modern looking one but with very gothic, scene colors. I smirked. "I could deal with this," I told Marina. We got our purses out of the car and got walking.
Tons of students that looked like us were similarly walking in, all wearing dark, gothy clothes. I actually then recognized one of the students; My cousin, Ivory. Ivory was the daughter of my uncle Edric. Ivory was kind of emo looking but I forgave that, and you could tell by how he looked that he was definitely a very emotive, creative bisexual. There was nothing else he could ever be apart from that.
Ivory had cloud-white skin and purple eyeshadow applied liberally to his eyelids, black lipstick paired with a dark pink lipliner he did in a thin line that made his mouth look somewhat cel-shaded, long hot pink hair with little black streaks in it, mascara on his bottom eyelashes too by the way. For clothes, he was wearing a black latex tank top with a picture of Jesus crucified on a cross made of skulls that he bought from the human realm, paired with black Tripp pants that he sewn a hot pink heart on the back on, brown Merylls shoes (the LEAST gothic thing he ever owned) and a longsleeve fishnet shirt he wore over his tank top. Basically, the king of the emo sluts. He's a little older than me, 18 years old, about to be 19.
"Hey baby girl," he told my friend emotionally. "Oh, it's you," Marina said wistfully yet romantically. The two shared a kiss. I threw up on the ground all over a rose bush. "What are you doing here?" she asked him. "I got enrolled here too, ma chere." He said. "Stop being french or I'mgoing to shoot my self in the wrist," I warned. Marina tappeed her foot. "That is your cousin. Don't be disrespectful. You may be a goth, but you are family." I crossed my arms and flipped my hair. "Well, I suppose that's true."
Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Excuse me, where's the college?" A husky voice said. I whipped around dramatically. "Hey, no tocar, sabes que no!" I growled. But I stopped my growling when I saw what stood before me. He was a man my age, with white (but not as white as Ivory) skin, short black and green hair with a thin short beard, a long sleeve black and white striped sweater, Grey Tripp Pants, club kid boots just like mine, and black fingerless gloves and white lipstick. I was enamored but I hid this. quickly.
"And who are you," I asked impolitely. He looked into my eyes and fluttered. "I'm Forrester Park. I'm also attending this school." Park is the last name of one of Luz's friends. So maybe this is her child? "Alright. I'm Chanelle, and that's Marina and Ivory," I said, pointing at my making-out friend and cousin. I looked at him and realized he was cute actually, and I resisted the urge to let down my hair. "It's right over there," I said, pointing at the entrance about 45.5 feet away. "Oh, thank you," he said meekly, as he walked off.
"ooooh you like him don't you, Nelly?" Marina teased. I looked at her with an angry brow. "Say that again, and I'll replace all your clothes with hot topic crap." I threatened. Marina almost threw up into my cousin's mouth. "DON'T. FUCKING. EVEN. JOKE," she said. I laughed evilly, and we walked into the college for orientation.
