Dear Lord and Heavenly Father,

I thank you for helping me to write this story,

And I thank you for all that you have blessed us with.

I really do appreciate all that you do me and other writers,

Even if they don't see it.

I do pray that this story will inspire others to keep on writing,

Or to be inspired to start.

I do ask these things in your Holy name, Lord

Bluey Walks into Camp

After having been acquainted with each other, Bluey the Blue Heeler and Mushu the dragon stood at the gate to the camp of dogs who had been drafted into the military. They glanced around the post to see dogs of just about every breed mulling about the place. Mushu was hiding himself at the back of her uniform and stuck his head around to see what was going on. The Blue Heeler was a little nervous from the number of dogs there. She glanced to him and said, "I'm not sure about this."

"Don't worry. I've got your back." Mushu said to give her some confidence. It made Bluey feel a little better. The little dragon then told her, "Okay, let's do this. Time to show 'em your man walk."

"Uh…?" Bluey asked as she moved behind the pole. Mushu then instructed her, "Shoulders back, chest high, feet apart, head up and strut your stuff."

Bluey leaned her upper body back, puffed out her chest, had her feet at awkward angles, lifted her head up. Then with a deep breath she walked into the camp while Mushu quietly said, "Two, three. Break it down. Hup, two, three. And work it!"

The other dogs in the camp looked up from what they were doing and were weirded out when they saw Bluey walking oddly past them. As she continued to walk through the camp, Bluey started to walk normally again. While Mushu was a little upset, he couldn't argue that walking normal helped Bluey to blend in better.

She walked into one of the many tents and saw some pretty bizarre and disgusting sights. One of the boys were bum shuffling across the ground on one side of the tent, one was scratching his ear with his foot, one was freely using his tongue to pick his nose while using his paw to dig out some belly button lint and another used chopsticks to pick his toes. As they walked by them, Mushu asked her, "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"They're disgusting." Bluey shuddered and earned a few glances here and there. Mushu disagreed by reminding, "No. They're men. And remember, you're going to have to be just like them, so pay attention."

Bluey shuddered again at the thought of acting like the dogs around her. Mushu then turned her head to find a sight before them. Three male dogs stood before them. An English Bulldog with a black eye, a skinny black and white Sheepdog and a Doberman. The Doberman opened up his tunic to show a shaven belly with a red dragon tattoo on his bare skin. He seemed proud of it when he said, "Look. This tattoo will protect me from harm."

The English Bulldog and the Sheepdog looked at it for a moment. While Bluey looked at the tattoo in confusion, the two boys looked to each other with mischievous smirks. Then as if to test it out, the shorter dog socked the Doberman in the gut and he fell down with a pained yelp. It startled Bluey while the Sheepdog started laughing. He patted the English Bulldog's shoulder as he kissed his fist and the Sheepdog said while laughing, "I hope you can get your money back."

"I don't think I can do this." Bluey nervously said to the dragon. Carefully bringing his head into her view, Mushu then said, "It's all about attitude." Then he gestured to the English Bulldog, "Be tough, like this guy right here."

Bluey looked to the English Bulldog just as he hacked and spit on the ground. Mushu quickly hid again to avoid being spotted. Noticing that Bluey was giving him a disgusted look, the Bulldog questioned, "What are you lookin' at?"

"Punch him." Mushu advised her. Bluey glanced back with a questioning look and he explained, "It's how men say hello."

Looking to her fist, a smile formed on the Blue Heeler's face at the thought of making some friends. Then she punched the English Bulldog in the back and he ended up smacking face first into a Saint Bernard. The Saint Bernard lifted the English Bulldog and looked over to Bluey and smiled, "Oh, Winton, you made a friend."

"Good." Mushu nodded when he saw that it worked. Then he instructed with a grin, "Now slap him on the behind. They really like that."

Bluey, still trusting in Mushu, slapped Winton on the rear. But it seemed to have a negative effect as he yelped before becoming angry. He turned to Bluey with a glare and grabbed her scarf with a growl, "I'm gonna hit you so hard, it'll make your ancestors dizzy."

"Now, Winton." The Saint Bernard said before lifting Winton off the ground. Then he calmly instructed his friend, "Just calm down and sing with me."

Bluey became worried as Winton growled in irritaiton and started to turn red in the face. Seeing hos his friend was about to blow his top the bigger dog started rocking the English Bulldog back and forth and sang…

Hercules: Hey true Blue

Is it me and you

Is it Mum and Dad

Is it a cockatoo?

Both Bluey and Mushu watched in amazement as Winton seemed to calm down as he muttered the words to the song…

Winton:Hey true Blue

Is it me and you

Is it Mum and Dad

Is it a cockatoo?

"Feeling better, little buddy?" The Saint Bernard asked as the redness faded from the English Bulldog's face. Winton looked up to the bigger dog and said, "Yeah. I do."

With a smile, the Saint Bernard, named Hercules, set Winton down on the ground again. He looked to Bluey with a glare as he was still a little ticked off. But he let it go as he waved off, "Ah, you ain't worth my time." Bluey breathed a sigh of relief and turned away just when Winton added, "Chicken boy."

"Chicken boy?!" An enraged Mushu shouted and popped out of his hiding spot, making Bluey cringe. Mushu shook his scaley fist as he challenged the dog, "Why don't you say that to my face, ya limp noodle!"

He disappeared as Bluey turned to the boys again just as Winton grabbed her scarf with another enraged growl. But when he was about to punch her, Bluey was able to duck down and Winton's fist ended up hitting the Sheepdog's belly. The black and white dog yelped from the blow and was knocked for a loop when Winton punched him in the face twice. A few teeth were knocked out of his muzzle as the Sheepdog swayed with a dizzy groan. Seeing that it was his friend he had punched, Winton offered the collapsing Sheepdog, "Whoops! Sorry, Mackenzie."

Winton then noticed Bluey trying to crawl away from them. He leaned down and grabbed her by the legs, "Hey!"

But before he could deliver his sense of justice, Mackenzie looked up from his spot on the ground and glared as he kicked Winton right in the rear. It sent the English Bulldog flying over the Blue Heeler and he knocked right into Hercules. But before the two could get up off the ground, a yelling Mackenzie jumped at them. The three started fighting amongst themselves as the Sheepdog shouted, "You're dead!"

The three thew punches as they wrestled on the ground. Seeing that they were distracted, Bluey quickly rose onto her feet and took off running. She stopped amongst some more tents trying to find a way to escape and looked back to the fight. Mackenzie was pulling on one of Winton's ears and looked to see Bluey making her getaway. Pointing in the Blue Heeler's direction he shouted, "Oh, there he goes!"

Winton and Hercules looked up to where he was pointing before all three got up and chased after Bluey. Seeing them coming after her, Bluey ducked into one of the many tents with the three boy dogs right behind her. It turned out to be a tent to house chickens as the farm birds all squawked from the running dogs. Winton, Mackenzie and Hercules all came running out of the chicken tent still chasing after Bluey. Only, the Blue Heeler wasn't being chased anymore as she poked her head out of the chicken tent with a grin. Both Winton and Mackenzie noticed that they weren't chasing Bluey anymore but was heading straight for a line to a chef handing out rice. The two were able to slow down and stop before they crashed into the other dogs in line, but Hercules didn't manage to stop in time. The big dog ended up crashing into them which in turn made them knock into the dogs in line. It set off a domino effect with a bowling pin sound as everyone was knocked forward before the last one fell onto the rice pan and chef distributing the rice in a comical fashion.

Bluey became really worried when all the boy dogs started to pick themselves up with growls. They looked back to her with glares and started to menacingly approach her while cracking their knuckles or rolling up their sleeves. She slowly backed away and lifted her paws in a calming manner as she tried to smooth things over, "Hey, guys."
