Hello fellow One Piece enjoyers! I am the Co-Author of this (amazing) work made by at least 3-5 people on a google doc due to boredom! You may refer to me as Razz or R, and the Main Author, Gray, as G! Though I must warn you beforehand, I, Razz, am the only one in our writing crew who is actually caught up with One Piece! :Gasps emit from crowd: Fear not! As I have organized this with G so we won't spoil One Piece for any else of our crew. This is also my first fanfiction! Fair warning before you proceed (hopefully with caution), there will be some grammatical errors eventually (if not now), so don't expect anything too good. Also, on Ao3, we will try to put character refs of all of the main protagonists (drawn by yours truly). All in all, I suck at writing introductions. Please proceed if you haven't already!

Prologue

The sunlight is seeping through the windows again, the same time as every other day. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a free sample of the sun to wake you up? Well, that doesn't matter.

A tall person with gray hair opens their lilac eyes, used to their morning routine, and shuffles in their blanket. Today is the day. The day they will finally set sail.

Realizing that, they jump out from under the covers and scramble to the door, slamming it open.

"ICHIKA!" They yell to their younger sister, getting a loud BANG back. If they had more family, they would get scolded for being noisy. But they don't, so who cares.

"WHAT, GRAY?" Ichika soon shouts back, though her words sound a bit slurred. She had just been sleeping, after all.

'I bet she was studying again' Gray walks down the stairs of their two-story cabin, thinking to themself. That thought is confirmed when they make it to the kitchen and see (a very sleepy) Ichika sitting at the table, half awake with a puddle of drool pooled on the table next to some books. If you look closely, you notice some books are about boats.

Ichika has always been the wiser sibling, even though she's younger. Gray could read, but definitely not as good as her. But that's because they never study, they don't have enough time to read books while they work, after all.

While the villagers let them keep their cabin after their parent's passing, they still had to work to get money for other things. What things, you may ask? A boat, obviously!

Gray sat at the table, letting their mind run while Ichika got up to make breakfast. Gray isn't allowed to cook anything themself after the incident.

Gray had wanted to set sail across the seas for as long as they can remember since they ate their devil fruit. Meeting others outside of their island was a dream come true, but that dream multiplied by at least 3.76 million after knowing there are others like them in the grand line, maybe in the other blues too!

Gray's thoughts were cut off when Ichika placed a plate of waffles on the table. Ignoring that they were placed right on top of the drool, Gray clenched their fork and began eating (devouring) the waffles. Ichika minded her own business, being used to Gray's disgusting eating habits, and ate her waffles at a slower pace. She was also flipping through one of her books, as you'd usually see her at almost every point of the day.

"Hay, Ishigah?" Gray continues to chew their food, waiting for a response.

"What? Also, swallow before talking." She finally looks up from her textbook and tilts her head.

"Aih furgaght.." They swallow. "I forgot to tell you, but I yelled for you earlier because it's sailing day."

There's a pregnant pause before Ichika nearly spits out her food, eyes bulging.

"HUH?" She leans over the table and screeches. "ALREADY? I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO WORK A LITTLE MORE TO GET THE STUFF WE NEEDED?!"

"Well, I checked my cash, and we have enough to get a boat, food, and stuff, so we'll be leaving today." Gray scoops another waffle off their plate and shoves it into their mouth. There's another pause from Ichika, but she finally snaps, slams her hands on the table, and leans further.

"HUHHH?!"

….

"Yughp."

….

Gray continues to chew before swallowing.

"I still need to go to the boat guy to get a boat, so it'll leave you some time to pack your stuff."

….

A sigh emits from Ichika, then she hops from her table and places her plate in the sink.

"Kay." She walks off, leaving her sibling to finish her breakfast.

Even from the kitchen, you can hear aggressive bangs from Ichika's room, possibly from stuff being thrown at walls, but nobody ever dares to go into that place, so nobody knows what goes on inside.

"Hey, old boat guy!" Gray calls, stomping to the store with a giant sack resting on their shoulder. Leon, the "old boat guy," turns his head and sighs at the sight of his regular customer. As Gray topples over, he blocks the door with his arms crossed.

"Are you going to steal a boat again? Look, I know you want to go to sea, but stealing things isn't the ri…." He peers down at the now-open bag in Gray's arms.
"I'm not stealing a boat again, ya' old man! Me and my sister will set sail to become pirates, and nobody can stop us, or I will kick their asses!" They lift the bag closer to the man's face. "I worked hard for years to get this moolah, and I will buy a boat!"

Despite the massive bag Gray's holding, the man's face says uncertainty. After carefully inspecting the sack, he looks at Gray.

"You sure this is the right amount? Last time I checked, you can't add past the hundreds." He states, causing Gray to puff out their chest and pout.

"Ichika did this! I forced her to stay up and add most of this cus' I couldn't!" They huff, mist quite literally spraying out of their nostrils.

Leon looks at the bag, then back at his customer, before sighing and opening the door. "Can't argue with that. Ichika is a real monster at math."

Gray displays a proud look on their face. "Yup! She's smart, all right! Probably smarter than you!"

Leon scoffs as he walks inside and to another door. He opens it and walks out to the docks. Boats are lined up, big and small, expensive and cheap.

"Woah!" Gray exclaims, looking at each expensive one.

"Nuh-uh," Leon shakes his head, "The only thing you can afford is that." He points to some tiny boat with a sail.

"Haah?!" The gray-haired one walks over to the dinghy and taps their foot on it, "Yeah, right! Ichika said we had enough for a huge ship! Not some torn-up dinghy!"

"Your sister is seven! I'm the one who sells the boats here, and I'm pretty sure you always steal boats from me, too!" He states immaturely; arms crossed over his chest.

Gray stuck their tongue out at Leon, taking a hairband off their wrist and flinging it at him. "It's- It's illegal to be rude to children!" They stutter, the hairband hitting the "old boat guy" in the forehead.

Leon sighs.

"Do you want a boat or not? Either way, do you even know how to work these things?"

"No, but Ichika does! She's been reading about boats since last winter!"

"Why do I even bother.." He mumbles before a chunk of hail hits him where the hairband did.

"Anyways, Mr. Boat Man, if this is the only boat we can get, we'll take it." Gray states after getting his (extra) attention. "BUUT…"

Leon cocks an eyebrow, "But..?"

"But, you better leave me with enough berri to get Ichika a special gift!"

"And that is..?"

"Secret!" Gray smirks.

The boatman grumbles.

Ichika walks along the docks, her training sword on her waist and a backpack filled with books she hasn't read yet hung upon her shoulder. Her eye bags are insane, and she can't look at anything without yawning. Maybe she shouldn't have stood up so late rereading books, but someone's gotta learn the water cycle for Gray when they don't want to.

Yawning for the… how many times has she yawned now? Whatever. Ichika walks to the new boat their sibling actually bought instead of stealing. One glance in, and she already decided its name, and luckily, Gray's too dumb to understand anything but common words said every day. So, meet their new home, Micro. If Gray did have intelligence, Ichika would probably be a bloody pulp.

Meh, she's too tired for this.

Looking into Micro, she sees barrels full of food (hopefully) and sacks of clothes. She also spots a medical kit or something. Probably from Miss Marsha, who knows?

"Ichika!" Gray calls, waving to their sister, "I got you something!"

Ichika looks confused, walking over to Gray, "Is that why Micro is a dinghy?" She scorns.

"Micro?"

"I named our ship."

"Ohhhhh…. Maybe." Gray reaches into one of the barrels, pulling out a sheathed sword.

"Woah!" She exclaims, "How much did this even cost?!"

"Um…that's unimportant…" Gray sheepishly laughed and put a hand behind their head.

Ichika unsheathed her new sword, smiling in awe. "Wow! It's pretty heavy!"

She swings it around, her form a bit messy, but she'll learn eventually. As the official first mate and swordsman of the Berry Pirates (Gray decided), she needed to be strong enough to take the bad guys down! So, she's been training with her practice sword (she doesn't know where Gray got it and how, but that doesn't matter to her that much) and learning how to cut almost everything! She can't cut metal, but she will when she's older!

Gray ignored her sword continuously slicing through them, and looked around the boat, gaping. This was their new home, their crew's home, and possibly a crew member. They giggle and lie down on the deck. They don't plan on giving Micro away. Ever. Micro was a ship, but they would keep it one way or another.

A/N

Hello again! I have a few more announcements before you move on! Number one, we (the crew) will try to update this at least every week. Number two, G designed Gray and Ichika (and I will draw them eventually). Three, I will try to respond to reviews and stuff if I get them. Four, depending on the time you're reading this, I will make the story cover sooner or later.

Now that my announcements are over, bye bye! Enjoy the rest of you day!
