Jamespire here! I bet you weren't expecting this! For those who don't know this is a mindustry fanfic! I decided to take a break from Shielding another World. I don't plan on making this a complete adventure but i'll write for it whenever i feel like it. This will cover the adventures and downfalls of our lovely protagonist, Alpha. I would highly recommend giving the game Mindustry by Anuke a try, there are not many games like it. Inside the orange box computes and selects an AI to lead the Sharded. Infinite possibilities flood the hardware, each a possible choice. Each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Any one AI could lead the Sharded to victory.In the end it chooses the strongest one, the most human one to beat back the Crux, also the. Within the span of a second it picked one out of a million different options.

The chosen AI travels towards it's host, a boi-organism, grown for this task. A brief light flashes deep inside the cube, the host had accepted the AI. They must hurry, no telling when the Crux would arrive, it was the Sharded's last chance. When the host was ready the box quickly deposited it into a metal room, next to The Hanger...
It awoke shivering on the ground. Immediately it's aware of it's purpose, but still it strives for an answer, any answer would suit it just fine for the meantime...
"Where am i?" It came out as a squeak. It had never spoken before. It was pitch black inside the cube. It quickly discovered it was sitting on the ground. It couldn't see, all it could hear was mechanical noises coming from deeper in the core. All it felt was cold metal sheets touching its bare skin. Even as a boi-mechanical prodigy it felt uncomfortable on the solid, frosty ground. Lights It thought All i need are lights. As if god was watching a set of cold LED lights sprung up around her illuminating the area. They were unpleasant to look at. Looking around it saw it was in a small metal cube. A pile of weird soft thing were on the ground next to it. The clanking noise from deep below was getting louder and louder, it felt urgent somehow. A omnipresent voice suddenly filled the small room, it was soft and female, programmed to sooth and relax.
"You are Alpha, your purpose is to protect the Sharded. Please put a jumpsuit on and travel to the door ahead of you. If you hadn't noticed you were modeled after a human female, this form will help you preform your duty." A metallic voice shrouded Alpha, giving it orders. With ingrained knowledge she got off her knees and walked over to the pile of assorted "Jumpsuits" After a brief instruction she slid into the suit. It was made for practicality over comfort. Even though it fit her snugly it itched at the seams and inconvenient metal pieces cut into her skin. After messing with the jumpsuit for a while Alpha noticed that next to her was what looked like a small oval bags. They came in a pair and had a shiny coating glazed over them. The "bottom" of the bag was a hard plastic plate and the rest was a mesh covering that had a single opening at one side.
"Those are "Shoes" You must put them over your feet. Slide your foot into the opening." The omnipresent voice offered. Alpha did as she was told. As soon as her feet snugly entered a mechanical verrr emitted from the shoes. It tightened around her foot. Sensing success she did the same with the other shoe, it did the same thing. She felt a lot more confident at this point, her feet weren't cold anymore. She went to move some the hair that had gathered out of infront of her face when she felt something hard against her fingertips. She moved her fingers against it and shivered, everytime she touched the hard thing it would send a shiver down her spine. She grated her teeth and moved her fingers down to the base of it, that's when she discovered there was one on the other side of her head too.
They were a pair of horns. Alpha supposed female women had them too and shrugged it off, nothing she could do about it. She felt around her body, normalizing herself to it. A small rumble went through the floor. She hadn't noticed it until now but the clanking was growing louder. Just when she thought it was an earthquake it stopped, instead a large vibration went through the metal room she was in. Alpha fell to her knees, hurting them. A second later it stopped, as if it never happened. A part of the wall of the metal room opened with a loud squeak.
"I guess i have to enter that." Alpha said to herself. She shuffled towards the opening, her joints sore from the earthquake. She could hear a loud HUM from inside there. She wondered what was in there.
