~To Heal a Broken Soul~
[Part 1]
Today had to be the absolute worst day of Moxxie's life.
The day before had started out pretty normal for him.
It was a typical day atI.M.P,starting when Moxxie toldLoonahe lost some weight, in response to her calling him fat inprevious instances. Then,Millie suddenly barged in, violently embittered, because she had bumped into her ex-boyfriend earlier. She complained about how he went on about how rich he was with a bright future and having a bigger penis, much to Moxxie's jealousy.
Shortly after, a run-down helicopter destroyed the left wall, much to Blitzo's annoyance. The imps were then taken to the Greed Ring, where they met with the client Blitzo was speaking to on the phone: Moxxie's father,Crimson.
Moxxie had swore he'd never come back home but now he had been essentially forced back. Crimson introduced himself to Blitzo, who took a liking to Crimson complimenting him, and Millie, who introduced herself as Moxxie's wife, before they are ushered inside for dinner.
While sitting in the parlor, Moxxie inquired why Crimson invited them. Crimson chastised him for asking, before stating they were still waiting for one guest. At that moment, another demon burst into the door—Chazwick Thurman, Millie's ex-boyfriend, and, to their mutual surprise, also Moxxie's ex-boyfriend.
Millie was shocked that they dated, while Blitzo was furious thatbothof them had sex with the same person. Moxxie then explained they met during Moxxie's initiation into the mafia, while revealing he was born and raised in a mafia to Blitzo's shock.
Moxxie and Chaz kept the relationship years ago, before Chaz abandoned him during a heist. Millie tried to kill Chaz for his deed, but was interrupted when a maid alerted them all that dinner is ready. During dinner, Crimson explained that the real reason he invited Blitzo's team was because he wished to welcome Chaz into the family, in order to receive funds from Chaz's purportedly high wealth.
Moxxie and Millie were against this, but Crimson insisted that after they were done they would return to their normal lives. When everyone left, Crimson demanded to speak to Moxxie alone, where he revealed that he wanted tomarryhim over to Chaz, despite him already being married to Millie.
Crimson had threatened that if Moxxie refused, he and Millie would pay severely, causing Moxxie to remember his horrible childhood and losing his motheryears ago.
Afterwards, Millie went up to Moxxie, but one of Crimson's goons told them that they had to sleep inseparaterooms. Millie was worried for Moxxie since he didn't protest, but he kept his mouth shut, remembering his fathers threatening words, and told her everything would be fine. When he went into his room, Chaz was already there and tried to seduce Moxxie into loving him again bysingingto him. Moxxie responded by kicking him out of his room.
That night, as he laid in bed thinking about what was going to happen the next day, Moxxie tearfully looked through the photo gallery on his cellphone. He gazed solemnly at all the pictures of himself and Millie, staring particularly at their wedding photo.
At that moment, Moxxie's sadness and fear had gave way to an overwhelming sense of anger and hatred. In that moment, he had made a decision.

The next morning, a goon filled Crimson's mug with coffee as Chaz walked in and went to sit in a seat with another filled mug of coffee, but Crimson signaled him to sit at the other side of the table. Moxxie and Millie then walked into the room.
"Hey hey the man of the hour, you ready to get started?", said Crimson.
"Wait, where's Blitz?", asked Millie.
"I think I saw him head outside he said something about needing some fresh air. Or something", responded Chaz.
"Why don't you grab him so we can get moving?", asked Crimson.
Millie turned to Moxxie, "Be right back baby", she said as she kissed him on the cheek and left.
Moxxie then turned around walked over to the table to take a seat, "What ya looking so glum for kid, it's your wedding day, the best day of ya life", said Crimson.
As Moxxie sat down, briefly looking over at Chaz who gave him a seductive smirk, a look of hatred flashed across his face.
"I'm not doing it", Moxxie muttered as he reached into the inner pocket of his suit.
"What was that? I couldn't make it out over the sound of you being awhiny bitch", Crimson said condescendingly while swirling around his coffee.
That was when Moxxie suddenly slammed his hand down on the table and stood up.
Outside, Millie was looking around for Blitzo before finding him inside the trunk of Chaz's car. "Oh hey, Millie...you found me...", he slurred. Before Millie could ask him what happened, the sound of several gunshots could be heard from inside the house, scaring her.
Back inside, it turned out that Moxxie had pulled a gun out of suit and had shot Crimson several times in the chest and abdomen. Chaz, frightened by the sudden action, backed up against a wall while Crimson laid on the floor, slowly bleeding out.
"M...Moxxie...? What the...f*ck?", he croaked as he stared up at his son. Crimson then gasped at what he saw: Moxxie's eyes were bloodshot, shining with blind rage as tears fell from them.
"I spent my whole life of being afraid ofyou, but I'm not giving up the only good thing I've ever had just so you can keep your fragile little sense of control over everything.Millieis a good woman, a better woman than I deserve. And there's nothing that scares me more than hurting her - not even you!", Moxxie growled menacingly.
Then, he dropped his gun, grabbed Crimson by the back of his head and then shoved his entire upper body into the lit fireplace behind him. Crimson let out a bloodcurdling scream as he struggled to break away, but Moxxie held him down and shoved him deeper into the fire, an expression of pure fury on his face.
Chaz watched in horror as Moxxie held his struggling father down in the flames of the fireplace, his heart thumping so hard that it would've burst through his ribcage if it could. After several agonizing minutes, Crimson finally stopped struggling and fell limp.
Moxxie pulled him out of the fireplace and threw him to the floor, Crimson's face was completely unrecognizable; his skin was singed black, his lips and tongue swelled up and his eyeballs seemed to have melted. Moxxie breathed heavily as he looked between his father's corpse and Chaz, who was still cowering in the corner, shaking like a leaf.
When he finally calmed down, Moxxie had finally came to grips with what he had just done, and he gasped in horror at the sight of his father's body. "Oh my Satan...what have I done? What have I done?!", he shrieked as he collapsed to his knees.
Taking the opportunity to leave, Chaz got up and ran out of the house, nearly bumping into Millie and Blitzo on the way out.
"Hey, get back here!", shouted Millie.
Chaz ignored her as he got into his car and drove off. Millie and Blitzo were confused until they suddenly heard someone crying hysterically inside the house.
"Moxxie!", they shouted as they both rushed into the house. That was when they both found Moxxie in the dining room, down on his knees and practically screaming as he cried. As they rushed to his side, Millie and Blitzo gasped in horror at the sight of Crimson's body.
"Holy f*cking sh*t! What the f*ck happened to him?!", shouted Blitzo.
As Millie held Moxxie close to her, she noticed that he hadn't stopped staring at his father's corpse as he continued loudly sobbing.
That was when she put two and two together.
"Moxxie...did you do this?", she asked.
Blitzo was shocked and momentarily confused, until he spotted one of Moxxie's guns on the floor a few feet away from the body; then, he noticed the bullet holes in Crimson's body and also put two and two together.
"No way...you didn't! Mox, you actually...", Blitzo couldn't even finish the sentence because he was so shocked.
Moxxie said nothing, he just kept on loudly sobbing and coughing until he suddenly stopped. He just abruptly went silent, his wide and unblinking eyes staring at nothing. Millie turned his face towards hers out of concern.
"Moxxie? Baby? Are you okay?", she asked worriedly.
She even tried shaking his shoulders to get him to respond but Moxxie remained deathly silent, his eyes still wide and blank. Blitzo quickly realized this was a serious situation and they probably needed to go before things escalated.
"I think we should leave while we can, I'll take you two home first on the way back", he said. Millie nodded as she lifted Moxxie up into her arms and carried him as she followed Blitzo outside, she quietly watched as he broke into one of the shark demon's cars and stole some money from them.
Then, as they walked over to the curb, Blitzo pulled out his cellphone and called a taxi. A taxi came within a few minutes and the three of them climbed inside, heading back to Imp City, though it was a pretty long drive.
Blitzo looked over at Moxxie, who laid silently in Millie's arms, still having not said a single word and his eyes still blankly staring at nothing. It actually made him feel very concerned, he had often acted like he didn't care about Moxxie but deep down, he actually did.
So, it bothered him to see Moxxie looking like a zombie.
Soon, the taxi stopped at the apartment building where Millie and Moxxie lived. Millie opened the door and exited the taxi, "See ya, Blitz", she said.
"Yeah, I'll see you two tomorrow. Goodnight", Blitzo said as the door was closed and the taxi drove off. The taxi then stopped in front of the I.M.P building, Blitzo paid the taxi driver and left, walking into the building. When he got upstairs to the office, Loona was still sitting at the table playing with her phone.
When she saw Blitzo, she was surprised. "What the Hell happened to you? Where's your clothes?", she asked. Blitzo looked down, noticing he was still only wearing underwear and Chaz's jacket.
Blitzo sighed as he ran a hand across his face, "There's a lot I need to tell you, Loona, but let me have a cup of coffee first", he groaned tiredly.
[Time Skip]
Millie walked into the apartment with Moxxie in her arms, shutting the door behind her and locking it. She then sat Moxxie down on the couch and looked at him, "Baby? Are you okay?", she asked.
Moxxie was still silent and motionless, if it wasn't for the small breaths he was taken, he could've been mistaken for being dead. Millie gave him a sad look before picking him up again, she carried him to the bathroom and sat him down on the toilet.
She then went to get him a pair of clean pajamas and a towel, then she turned on the faucet and started filling up the bathtub. She waited for the water to be at the right temperature before turning to Moxxie, who continued to have a blank look on his face.
"Moxxie, honey, I'm gonna give ya a nice warm bath now. Then, I'mma put you in bed and shower so I can make you something to eat. After that, you can take a nap and tell me what happened later, okay?", said Millie.
Despite Moxxie's dead eyes expression and lack of speaking, Millie still managed to smile at him. She gave him a loving kiss on the lips before stripping off his clothing, then she carried him to the tub and placed him into the warm water.
She grabbed a bottle of body wash and a loofah, and began bathing Moxxie; she also grabbed some shampoo and conditioner to wash his hair, being careful not to let any get into his eyes. Once Moxxie was clean, Millie pulled him out of the tub and dried him off.
After that, she helped him put his pajamas on and placed him in bed. "You just relax, Moxxie. Okay? I'mma take a quick shower and then I'll fix you up something to eat. I love you, baby", said Millie as she gave him another kiss before stepping into the bathroom to shower.
When he heard the sound of the water running, Moxxie slowly climbed out of the bed, grabbed his wallet and silently exited the apartment, making sure Millie didn't hear him. Moxxie then hailed a taxi and, for the first time since he got back, he spoke to him.
"Take me to the Ring Elevator", he muttered in a barely audible voice.
Despite being annoyed that he could barely hear what Moxxie said, the taxi driver took his payment and drove Moxxie to the station where a giant elevator would take passengers to and from the different rings of Hell.
Soon, the taxi dropped Moxxie off at the elevator station. He paid for a one way trip to the Envy Ring and proceeded to wait for it to arrive.
"Elevator 666 departing for Envy...in five f*cking minutes! Damn it, why can't I go but everyone else can!?", a voice on the overhead intercom said.
The elevator doors opened up to allow the passengers to step on. Moxxie walked into the elevator and sat down on the nearest seat, once again having a dead eyed expression on his face. He completely ignored the other demons, who were muttering under their breaths about the weird imp walking around in his pajamas or looking like he might've been high.
Soon, the elevator began its descent down to the Envy Ring. Moxxie sat in silence the entire time, staring down at his feet; after twenty minutes, the elevator finally came to a complete stop and the doors opened to let everyone off.
Moxxie stood up and exited the elevator, looking around for a roadside map so he could assess where he was. He found one at a nearby bus stop, looking at it for a moment before settling on a new destination: Leviathan's Beach.
In the bibliography, there was a demon known as Leviathan and he was said to be the demon of Envy. He was typically depicted as a sea creature, and as such, there was a popular beach in the Envy Ring named after him.
After finding out which direction the beach was, Moxxie began walking there but not before tossing his wallet into a nearby waste basket on a street corner. It was a very long walk to Leviathan's Beach, but he didn't care; he kept getting more stares from the passerbys for his blank expression and walking around in his pajamas, but once again, Moxxie ignored them all.
It was about half an hour when he finally made it to the beach, which had quite a lot of demons already there enjoying a fun day at the beach. Moxxie looked around until he spotted a cliff on the western side of the beach, far from the boardwalk and where everyone was set up.
He made sure no one would notice him as he began stumbling towards the cliff, walking up it. Once he reached the top, Moxxie looked out over the edge at the red ocean below the cliff. As tears began to fall from his eyes, he muttered one last thing under his breath before he slowly walked closer to the edge.
"Millie...forgive me..."
Moxxie slowly closed his eyes...and took a step off the edge of the cliff.
