~To Heal a Broken Soul~
[Part 2]
Back at the apartment, Millie stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her body. As she walked out of the bathroom, she heard her cellphone ringing; she went to pick it up and saw that it was Blitzo calling her.
"Hey, Blitz. What's up?", she asked as she answered.
"Hey, Mills. Is Moxxie alright? Cause I've been trying to call him for the last hour and he hasn't been answering my calls or responding to my texts!", said Blitzo.
Millie was confused as she walked towards the bedroom, expecting to see Moxxie lying in and probably taking a nap. What she actually saw was the blanket flipped over and the bed completely empty.
"So...did you wake him or what? Hello?", Blitzo asked over the phone.
Millie was suddenly overcome by a feeling of extreme panic, so much that she barely heard Blitzo speaking to her.

Meanwhile at Leviathan's Beach, a new patron arrived to enjoy a day at the beach.
It was a tall demon owl with pure white feathers with black tips on his hands, feet and tail. He also had four red eyes, and was wearing a pair of swim trunks and carrying a red and black scythe in one of his hands.
This being was known as Dmitri Desmodeus, but he was more well known as the Grim Reaper or simply Death.
He was one of Hell's overlords, with his title and rank being akin to that of a Duke, and because of this, he was accompanied by several burly hellhound bodyguards to protect him.
"Can we sit close to the water, Papa?"
Dmitri's attention was draw to a soft, childish voice behind him. He turned to see one of his bodyguards, who was holding the hand of a small demon child.
The child looked like a male imp, with black and white striped horns, and black hair with white splotches. But he also had small black feathers at the tip of his tail, and he had bird feet instead of cloven imp feet.
This strange looking child was Dmitri's eight year old son, Jayden Desmodeus. The reaper owl was also known for being asexual, not feeling attraction to anyone of either gender, and thus never married. But since he had wanted to be a parent, he made his son using a blood ritual.
Today was one of the few days Dmitri had off from his job of reaping, accounting and processing the souls of newly deceased humans, so he decided to go to the beach with his son.
Dmitri looked at his with a loving smile, "Of course, but not too close. Last time, you lost one of your rubber toys to the waves", he said.
Once he had some of his bodyguards set up their beach stuff on a spot not too close to the ocean, Dmitri sat down with his son.
He reclined under the umbrella with a book while Jayden was making sandcastles. Once he made his castle, he wanted to decorate it with seashells but didn't see any.
"Papa, can I go look for some seashells?", asked Jayden.
Dmitri turned to two of his bodyguards, "Go with him while he collects seashells. You know what to do if anyone gets too close to him", he said. The two hellhounds nodded as they followed the demon child while he collected seashells.
Jayden hummed happily to himself as he picked up seashells and tossed them into his bucket. When he walked close to some tall and jagged rocks sticking up by the water's edge, he gasped at what he discovered.
Dangling from the top of one of the rocks by a ripped and torn shirt was...Moxxie!
He was unconscious, his body soaked from head to toe in saltwater, his pajamas were ripped and shredded in places and his body was covered in cuts and bruises.
Jayden looked at Moxxie's barely alive form with an expression of fear and sympathy, "Guards! Guards, come quick!", he shouted. The two hellhound bodyguards came running towards him when he heard his shouting.
"Young master, we came when we heard you call!", said one of them.
"Is something wrong? Are you hurt?", asked the other.
Jayden pointed at Moxxie's limp body, "No, not me! That imp right there, he's hurt really bad! You gotta help him!", he said.
The two hellhounds looked up to see Moxxie dangling from the rocks, one of them rushed over and carefully pulled him off the rocks, holding him in his arms.
"We need to get him back to Master Dmitri, he'll know what to do", he said. His fellow guard nodded in agreement as he picked up Jayden in his arms and they walked back to their spot.
Dmitri looked up from his book when he noticed they had returned, his son having a worried look on his face.
"Papa, this imp is hurt really badly! You gotta help him!", said Jayden.
Dmitri looked to see Moxxie in one of the guard's arms, he stood up quickly and rushed over. He looked over the unconscious imp with the same careful eye as any medical professional.
"The poor thing is seriously injured, he needs medical attention now. I apologize, Jayden, but it looks like we're going to have to cut our beach day short", said Dmitri.
Jayden shook his head, "No, it's okay Papa. This imp is hurt and I know you'd be able to help him. We can go to the beach next time, this is more important", he said.
Dmitri smiled and patted his son on the head, "Alright then. Let's pack everything up and head back to the estate so we can help this poor imp", he said.

Moxxie groaned as he felt his consciousness return to him, his vision swam for a bit before clearing up. He looked around to see that he was lying on a full sized bed in an unfamiliar room.
To the left of the bed stood Dmitri, his son Jayden and a two headed snake demon wearing a doctor's uniform.
"Ugh...where am I? Who are all of you?", he croaked since his throat was very dry.
"You're in my mansion. My name is Dmitri, but you might know me by my more common nomenclature, "Death". I was having a relaxing day at Leviathan's Beach when my son Jayden found you injured and unconscious at the base of the cliff.
"We took you back to our home and I had my personal doctor here look you over. You had several cuts and bruises, but those will heal within a week or so. You had another injury that was of more concern, though", said Dmitri.
The doctor then pulled out an x-ray photo of Moxxie's head, a crack very visible in his skull. "You suffered a serious head injury, specifically a skull fracture. Tell me...do you remember anything from before you lost consciousness?", they asked.
Moxxie looked down and thought hard, but he quickly ended up drawing a blank. "No...I can't. I don't even remember my own name, or where I live, or anything else. I can't remember anything at all, I can remember is nothing but darkness!", he said in a panic.
That's when Jayden crawled onto the bed and held something up to him, Moxxie looked to see that it was a stuffed armadillo. "Don't be scared, my Papa's gonna help you. Here, this is Dilbert. He'll make you feel better", he said.
Moxxie smiled as he took the stuffed animal and held it close to his chest, feeling comforted by the kind gesture. "Thank you", he said to Jayden, prompting the young child to smile.
"I knew it, the head injury has caused you to suffer long term memory loss, or to put it simply, amnesia. Your skull fracture will heal but it may take time for your memories to come back, and that's if they even come back at all. There's a possibility that the amnesia will be permanent", said the doctor.
Moxxie looked down sadly as he clutched the stuffed armadillo tighter, "What do I do then? I have no life if I can't remember any life before this, what am I supposed to do? Where will I live? How can I get a job with no credentials?", he said.
Dmitri stepped forward and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, "Do not despair, young imp. You may live here and can work alongside my staff, it isn't a difficult job and you'll be given three meal a day", he said.
Moxxie's eyes lit up, "Really? Of course I'll work for you! Thank you so much, Dmitri!", he said joyfully before wincing due to the pain from his head injury.
Dmitri chuckled slightly, "You're quite welcome, but please refer to me as either "my Lord" or "master" when you speak to me directly, it's more polite. Now, in the meantime, you just rest and recover from your injuries. Once you're better, we'll get you fitted in the proper attire and you can get to work", he said.
Moxxie nodded in agreement as he laid back down to go to sleep, the doctor turned to Dmitri as they left the room with Jayden.
"I'll prescribe some migraine medicine for him, your lordship. He'll need it since they'll be a reoccurring side effect of the head injury", said the doctor.

Back at I.M.P, Millie was pacing back and forth while Blitzo and Loona stared at her.
"I don't get it! Where would Moxxie go? He took his wallet but left his phone behind, and he walked out in his pajamas! Where is he?!", she shouted.
"Now, Mills, calm down. I'm sure Mox is okay, probably...I mean, he was pretty shaken up after we got back but then again he did kill his own Dad so...", Blitzo trailed off.
That's when Millie suddenly stopped pacing, "Oh my God, what if he was kidnapped by the goons working for his Pa?! What if they want revenge on him or something?!", she shouted.
"You said his father was the leader of the Mafia, right? And he killed him, right? A Mafia is like a beehive, if you kill the leader then all the followers will be totally disorganized and useless. I doubt they kidnapped Moxxie", said Loona.
Millie sighed and leaned against the wall, slowly sliding down to the floor. "Then where did Moxxie go? Why would he leave without telling me first? I'm so worried about him, what if he's hurt or worse?", she said as tears welled up in her eyes.
Blitzo stood up and walked over to her side, bending down to place an arm around her shoulders. "Don't worry so much, Mills. Moxxie is made of stronger stuff, he'll be okay. In the meantime, we can go looking for him", he said.
Millie wiped her eyes and took a deep breath, "Okay. I'm calm, let's go find him. You're right, he can be tough and I'm sure he didn't go far", she said.

Moxxie laid curled in the bed, fast asleep while still clutching the stuffed armadillo Jayden gave him earlier.
He was then slowly aroused from his deep slumber by the sound of his room door opening and something being set down on the bedside table.
"I apologize for waking you, but his lordship told me to so that you could eat and take your medication. He said you can go back to sleep afterwards", said a small soft voice.
Moxxie grumbled and groaned as he rolled over to face whoever had entered the room. The person suddenly gasped in shock upon seeing Moxxie's face, which confused him.
The person resembled an anthropomorphic sheep; he had a white halo that hovered over his head and had wings on his back. His skin and eyes were periwinkle, and hewas wearing a red bowtie and a black suit with a skull insignia on left breast pocket.
The two stared at each other for a prolonged period of time before the sheep grew an expression of mild anger on his face. He pointed an accusatory finger at Moxxie.
"It's you! You're that imp who got me and my friends banished from Heaven! It's your fault I can't go home or see my parents anymore!", he shouted.
Moxxie looked him up and down before giving him a confused look, "I'm sorry but I...do I know you?", he said.
