Episode #2 - Sailor Moon: Season 2 Part 2
As Mamoru and Usagi lean in for a romantic kiss, a small girl with bright pink hair falls out of the sky and lands on Usagi, demanding the Legendary Silver Crystal from her. The girl, also named Usagi, quickly gets nicknamed "Chibiusa". Usagi starts to become suspicious when she returns home and her family identifies Chibiusa as her cousin. Meanwhile, a new enemy, the Black Moon Clan, comes to Tokyo looking for Chibiusa.
Mamoru begins to have strange nightmares warning him to avoid Usagi at all costs that he is forced to break up with her, just as the Black Moon starts planning an operation to steal energy at the Crystal Points of the future Crystal Tokyo.
Ami receives an invitation to study abroad in Germany, and she accepts the offer. But in the end she decides not to go so she can save her friends from a Droid who can control ice. The Guardians also receive new transformation-devices and new and much stronger Sailor abilities and attacks.
Rei's grandfather tries to attract more girls to the shrine, but Koan, one of Black Moon's Specter Sisters, targets it in its role as a Crystal Point.
Continuing her search for the Silver Crystal in the midst of a Droid attack, a saddened Chibiusa accidentally causes a gravitational disturbance with her great magical strength and power.
Makoto and Minako get into a fight that nearly breaks them apart, but an encounter with Calaveras and Petz (who run a charm-shop near a new Crystal Point) forces them to work together to defeat the Specter Sisters.
Usagi tries to make curry for Chibiusa and Mamoru, but Calaveras and Petz target the supermarket.
The Sailor Guardians go on vacation to the beach and end up looking for Chibiusa, who has found a baby plesiosaur on a volcanic island on the verge of erupting.
Chibiusa tries to go back to the future because she feels that she does not belong in the present, but Koan and Berthier surprise and attack her. She manages to escape, but later the four Specter Sisters and their leader Rubeus battle against Sailor Moon and the other Sailor Guardians, who try to protect Chibiusa.
Mamoru continues to have prophetic nightmares about Usagi and questions the voice telling him to stay away from her. Meanwhile, the Black Moon once again attacks Chibiusa. The Sailor Guardians save her, but a droid puts Sailor Moon into a deep sleep, causing her to dream of Mamoru. Out of fear of losing Usagi, Mamoru rushes to her side as Tuxedo Mask and kisses Sailor Moon passionately, awakening her.
Koan intends on capturing Chibiusa at the Hikawa Shrine to try and win Rubeus's romantic love. However, Rubeus rejects Koan, which prompts Sailor Mars and Yuichiro Kumada to show her the true meaning of true love and friendship.
Berthier challenges Sailor Mercury to a game of chess so she can get revenge on her, and ends up discovering the powerful force of true romantic love.
Rubeus tries to destroy the Sailor Guardians once and for all by giving the "Black Moon Stick" to the remaining Specter Sisters so they can kill them. In the midst, however, Chibiusa accidentally sees the girls transform, revealing their identities as the Sailor Guardians, and that Usagi, as Sailor Moon, holds the Silver Crystal.
Chibiusa, saddened and confused that Usagi is Sailor Moon, steals the Silver Crystal and tries to go back to the future, while Esmeraude visits Rubeus and warns him of his replacement if he does not dispose of the Sailor Guardians. Due to Chibiusa's meddling, Rubeus succeeds in capturing the other Guardians.
Usagi reluctantly pursues Rubeus, who captures her and Chibiusa onboard his spaceship. There, she and Chibiusa must work together in their final battle against Rubeus to rescue the other Guardians.
Chibiusa falls ill, and Sailor Pluto reveals herself to the Sailor Guardians to help Chibiusa.
Esmeraude begins a new assault on Tokyo, targeting the grand opening of a pastry-shop which the Guardians check out.
Desperately wanting to be with Mamoru again, Usagi takes a craft-session for a special promise ring bracelet. But the bracelet turns out to be an energy-siphon for the latest Droid. Usagi dreams of their wedding day and has the same nightmare, prompting her to ask Mamoru about it. Questioning the meaning of their dreams, Mamoru continues to believe that being together will bring harm to Usagi and the world. Ultimately, the couple defy their nightmares in order to be together again.
With nearly all of the Sailor Guardians bedridden due to a virus (created by Esmeraude to incapacitate them), Minako decides to play nursemaid to help them out, causing one disaster after another from her "good" intentions.
After getting sick of Luna's chiding, Artemis runs away to an animal-shelter controlled by Esmeraude's latest Droid.
Esmeraude's latest Droid targets Sailor Mercury, using her feelings of doubt to try to make her turn against her friends.
The Boule Brothers Chiral and Achiral target Chibiusa's school, forcing Chibiusa to witness her friends and classmates turn against her, including her best friend Momoko Momohara. After Usagi and the others assist in saving them, Chibiusa finally decides to return to the future to face her problems head-on.

OVA # 1- Make Up! Sailor Guardians
Usagi and Chibiusa overhear two girls talking about the Sailor Guardians after they see a poster. As the girls debate over the smartest, most elegant, strongest, and the leader of the Sailor Guardians, Usagi grandly claims those titles for herself. Chibiusa shakes her head at Usagi's delusion. Clips appear from the debut of each Sailor Guardian, and that girl's image song plays in the background. When even Tuxedo Mask has been mentioned, and the girls are about to leave, Usagi butts in on their conversation and asks them directly about Sailor Moon. The girls give a series of glowing compliments about Sailor Moon, but unlike their analysis of the other Sailor Guardians, they also list her faults. After the girls leave, Usagi sarcastically apologizes to the viewers for being a clumsy cry-baby and then bursts into exaggerated tears.
Sailor Moon R: The Movie: The Promise of the Rose
A young Mamoru Chiba hands a mysterious boy a rose before he disappears, vowing to bring Mamoru a flower. In the present, Mamoru meets up with Usagi Tsukino and the Sailor Senshi at the Jindai Botanical Garden. Usagi attempts to kiss Mamoru, but when he suspects the other girls of spying on him, he walks off outside alone.
The stranger appears from the garden's fountain and takes Mamoru's hands into his own, which makes Usagi uncomfortable. Usagi tries to break the man's grasp from Mamoru, but is knocked down. The man vows that no one will prevent him from keeping his promise before disappearing again. Mamoru tells Usagi that the stranger's name is Fiore (フィオレ, Fiore). At Rei Hino's temple, the Sailor Senshi discuss an asteroid which has started to approach Earth and on which Luna and Artemis have discovered traces of vegetal life. The talk turns into rumors about Mamoru's and Fiore's possible relationship, while Usagi thinks about how Mamoru had told her that he had no family and was alone, and how she had promised him she would be his family from now on.
Fiore sends his flower-monster henchwoman, Glycina, to Tokyo to drain the population's life-energy, but the Sailor Senshi free them and destroy the monster. Fiore appears, revealing his responsibility for the attack, and uses a flower called a Xenian before severely injuring the Sailor Senshi. Mamoru attempts to talk Fiore out of fighting but the Xenian controls Fiore's mind. After Mamoru saves Usagi from certain death by intercepting his attack, Fiore takes Mamoru to an asteroid rapidly approaching Earth and begins to revive him in a crystal filled with liquid. While in the crystal, Mamoru remembers meeting Fiore after his parents died in a car accident. Mamoru had previously assumed that he had made up the boy as an imaginary friend. Fiore explains that he had to leave Mamoru because of the Earth's unsuitable atmosphere; Mamoru gave Fiore a rose before disappearing. Fiore searched the galaxy to find a flower for Mamoru, finding the Xenian in the process. Seeking revenge on the humans for his loneliness, Fiore returns to Earth.
Meanwhile, Luna and Artemis tell the Sailor Senshi that the Xenian can destroy planets using weak-hearted people. Ami Mizuno realizes that the energy from the asteroid matches the flower-monster's evil energy, deducing that Fiore has hidden there. The Sailor Senshi decide to rescue Mamoru. Despite her initial reluctance, the Sailors and Chibiusa convince Usagi to save Mamoru and confront Fiore.
After the Sailor Senshi fly to the asteroid, Fiore reveals his plans to scatter flower-seeds to drain humanity's energy on Earth. The Sailor Senshi then fight hundreds of flower-monsters, but they end up captured. When Fiore orders Usagi to surrender, she is unable to feel his loneliness; Fiore begins to drain her life-force. Mamoru escapes and saves Sailor Moon by throwing a rose at Fiore. The rose embedded in Fiore's chest blossoms, freeing him from the Xenian's control. The flowers on the asteroid disappear, but it continues to hurtle towards Earth. Usagi uses the Silver Crystal to transform into Princess Serenity to change the course of the asteroid. In an attempt to stop Usagi, Fiore soon realizes that when Usagi and Mamoru were children, she gave Mamoru the rose that was once given to him after Fiore had left. With Fiore and the Xenian destroyed by the Silver Crystal, Serenity, Endymion and the Sailor Senshi combine their powers to divert the asteroid away from the Earth. The Silver Crystal is shattered and Serenity dies of exhaustion. Back on Earth, despite Luna and Artemis' concern over why the Sailor Senshi are taking too long, Chibiusa assures them that the girls are all right.
In the aftermath, now safely drifting in orbit, the Senshi and Tuxedo Mask are devastated by Sailor Moon's death in her still form after her transformation brooch is damaged, saying that it wasn't worth it to survive if they lost the one most dear to them. Fiore reappears and thanks Tuxedo Mask. Using a nectar-filled flower with Fiore's life-energy, Tuxedo Mask wets his lips with the nectar and kisses Sailor Moon, reviving her, restoring her transformation brooch and re-powering the Silver Crystal. Fiore, reduced to the form of a child again, ascends to the afterlife to live in peace. She smiles weakly at them and says she told them she would protect everyone. The Senshi smile through their tears and collapse into her arms.
Continuing...
Sailor Moon and the rest of the team travel to the future and encounter Sailor Pluto once again. She opens the Gates of Time, and once in the Space-Time Corridor, they find out that Esmeraude has planned a trap for them. Esmeraude sends a Droid Ryuakusu after the team and demands her to bring back Chibiusa and purposely forgets to tell her to bring back Sailor Moon - leaving Ryuakusu to kill Sailor Moon but after a full-blown battle the Sailor Guardians defeat Ryuakusu with the Sailor Planet attack and enter the gate of the future.
When the Sailor Guardians arrive in the future, they see that Crystal Tokyo looks like a ghost town. They encounter King Endymion, who is revealed to be Tuxedo Mask's future self, and tells them the legend of the Black Moon Clan, and reveals Chibiusa as the daughter of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask in the future of Crystal Tokyo. Meanwhile, the Black Moon Clan's leader Prince Demande kidnaps Sailor Moon due to her great resemblance to the beautiful Neo-Queen Serenity.
Wiseman kidnaps Chibiusa from the Crystal Palace and fills her mind with false thoughts that no one cares for or loves her. Meanwhile, he uses Esmeraude, who has gone to him in order to make her Prince Demande's queen. Wiseman tricks her, giving her a false crown, which transforms her into a huge dragon, in order to distract Sailor Moon from his real purpose. In the end the Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask unleash attacks on the apparently invincible dragon — still not recognizing it as Esmeraude in disguise, and then Sailor Moon unleashes Moon Princess Halation. The dragon disintegrates and becomes Esmeraude, seemingly asleep. Esmeraude disappears, screaming, into a vortex and vanishes into nothing, ending her life. Wiseman laughs and reflects on his gladness at her departure, and then reveals that Demande and his brother Saphir will be "joining" Esmeraude. An eerily familiar laugh echoes around the room.
Wiseman continues brainwashing Chibiusa and tells her lies about her family and friends. He then uses his evil magic to the make her older, creating her darker alter-ego, Black Lady, and then uses her to open a Dark Portal in present-day Tokyo.
Saphir discovers the truth regarding Wiseman's ultimate plan, forcing him to escape to the past where the four former Specter Sisters (whom Sailor Moon had healed with the Silver Crystal) discover him. But Wiseman tracks him down and kills him before he can warn his older brother of the true evil.
The Sailor Guardians enter the growing Black Crystal to stop Wiseman, but Prince Demande abducts Sailor Moon once more. After finally helping him realize what is really going on, Demande ultimately sacrifices himself to allow her to save both the present and future.
The Sailor Guardians attempt to enter the Black Gate, but Black Lady appears and attacks them. Sailor Moon tries to use the enormous energy and power of the Silver Crystal to show Black Lady her true memories. After a while, Black Lady turns back into Chibiusa. Then, Wiseman reveals that he is Death Phantom, and proceeds to open the Black Gate to attack the Earth, forcing Sailor Moon to fight. Chibiusa cries, and her tear forms the Silver Crystal of the future. Together, Neo Queen Serenity and Chibiusa overpower the Death Phantom, destroying him and the Black Crystal forever. Later, Chibiusa returns to the future of Crystal Tokyo, and is finally reunited with her mother and father, and the future Sailor Guardians.
A recap of the two previous seasons as well as a preview for the third season, Sailor Moon S. During the voice-overs, the Sailor Guardians argue over who will become the new main character.

The Daimon is defeated by a pair of mysterious new warriors, leaving the girls to despondently realize that a new conflict has begun.
While Mamoru Chiba strives to cheer Usagi up after her failure in the previous battle, a young girl is the latest target of Kaolinite of the Death Busters. Due to Usagi's inability to transform, the under-powered Sailor Team struggles to fight off the Daimon and are once again forced to rely on the mysterious two warriors. Once they determine the girl's pure heart is not a talisman, they leave the Sailor Team to fend for themselves. Meanwhile, Tuxedo Mask and Usagi hold hands after the latter's refusal to escape, and through the power of their love, Usagi's disabled Crystal Star brooch transforms into the Cosmic Heart Compact, and she gains the Spiral Heart Moon Rod and, along with it, the ability to transform and defeat the Daimon.
Avoiding their study group, Usagi and Minako meet Haruka Tenoh, an attractive and supposedly male student of a prestigious local school, with whom they both become infatuated. After Minako is defeated in a racing game, a girl named Michiru Kaioh arrives to pick up Haruka, and the two depart with Usagi and Minako soon following behind them. Once Michiru and Haruka separate at a mechanic's shop, Usagi and Minako take this as their chance, and Haruka tells them about "him"-self until a Daimon arrives to attack Kameda, the shop mechanic. The Daimon starts to escape when Usagi and Minako transform into their Guardian forms to chase it down, when the two mysterious warriors, revealed to be Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, arrive to investigate Kameda's pure heart crystal. When it turns out not to be a talisman they retreat and Sailor Moon defeats the Daimon. Later, the rest of the girls are at Crown Game Center with Usagi and Minako in hopes of seeing the cute boy they have told them about; Michiru arrives with a blonde girl, whom Usagi and Minako initially fail to realize is Haruka; once they do, Minako falls to the ground in anguish, and Haruka notes that she had never said she was male.

Naru Osaka and Gurio Umino enter an affection contest in order to prove their strong mutual romantic love for each other, but find themselves targeted by a Daimon.
Makoto Kino is targeted by a Daimon, but manages to temporarily evade it. Keen to analyze her pure heart crystal, Haruka befriends Makoto in order to get close to her.
Ami Mizuno's desire to avoid competition leads her to offending Michiru inadvertently in a swimming race, as well as Usagi accidentally hurting Ami's feelings. Meanwhile, a Daimon selects Ami as a target.
After Sailor Neptune is captured and possibly killed by Kaolinite, Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus find themselves shackled together and forced to reassess their less-than-friendly attitudes toward each other in order to save Sailor Neptune from further harm.
Worried by Rei's intensive meditation, Yuichiro Kumada becomes concerned that she has fallen deeply head-over-heels in love for another man. When he sees her with Haruka and mistakes her for a man, Yuichiro is convinced that "he" is Rei's new romantic suitor.
Minako is despondent about her double life of being a Sailor Guardian and a normal girl. Meanwhile, an old friend of hers, who she once fell in love with, is attacked by a Daimon, and Minako, as Sailor Venus, must use her skills of volleyball to save him.
Usagi is furious when Mamoru forgets her 15th birthday. When Mamoru buys her an expensive pair of glass slippers to make up for it, he fails to realize that Kaolinite sabotaged the shoes with a Daimon egg to steal her pure heart crystal. To make matters worse, Kaolinite steals Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact leaving her unable to transform, and Tuxedo Mask gets captured.
With Usagi's brooch stolen and Tuxedo Mask kidnapped, Usagi goes to the Tokyo Tower rescue Tuxedo Mask and retrieve the brooch so she can become Sailor Moon again, during which the Sailor Guardians face Kaolinite in a final showdown.
Eudial of the Witches 5 is tasked to take over from Kaolinite's position, in which she targets a genius drummer recruited to play at a festival for Rei. The Sailor Guardians cannot defeat the Daimon who attacks her, but Chibiusa arrives as the Guardians' newest ally, Sailor Chibi-Moon.

Haruka remembers the past when she first met Michiru, who told her that she was destined to become Sailor Uranus. Haruka initially refused that destiny, for she loved her life too much and was afraid of change. Haruka was attacked, and Sailor Neptune was injured while defending her. In her anguish, Haruka took the transformation lip rod and accepted her destiny as Sailor Uranus, the Sailor Guardian of the Sky.
Chibiusa meets a boy named Masanori at her art class and develops a crush on him. Unfortunately, he already has a crush on Michiru, who is taking a class at that school as well. When a Daimon attacks Masanori, Chibiusa must take a stand to protect him.
An English gentleman named Edwards invites Mamoru and the girls to a fancy party, where Usagi accidentally becomes drunk and the team is forced to confront a fashionable Eudial and her latest Daimon.
Minako becomes jealous that a Daimon has not yet attacked her, and she fears that she does not have a pure heart. After doing as many "pure" things as she can, she is attacked, and her pure heart is taken from her. When Eudial nearly gets away, Usagi is forced to reveal her identity to Haruka & Michiru, who in turn, reveal their identities as Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune to Sailor Moon.
Faced with losing her position at Witches 5, Eudial creates a computer program to find the true owners of the three Talismans, and learns that Haruka and Michiru are the ones who hold two of the Talismans within their own hearts. They take away Usagi's brooch, the Cosmic Heart Compact, and follow Eudial onto a lonely island. However, the invitation turns out to be a trick, and Michiru's pure heart is taken, which turns into the mystical Deep Aqua Mirror. Haruka, in order to release her own talisman, shoots herself with Eudial's captured gun. Her pure heart transforms into the mystical Space Sword.
Sailor Pluto appears and reawakens Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, and the three talismans resonate with each other (the third and last being Sailor Pluto's Garnet Orb). The Holy Grail appears, and Sailor Moon grabs it and evolves into Super Sailor Moon, who drives Eudial out. Mimete then kills Eudial by sabotaging her car with snails.

Sailor Moon S: The Movie – Hearts in Ice
An extraterrestrial ice entity named Princess Snow Kaguya arrives on Earth in an attempt to freeze it, but a fragment of her comet has been lost and she is unable to proceed without it. She has her henchwomen, the Snow Dancers, search for the missing fragment. In Tokyo, a young astronomer named Kakeru Ōzora finds the fragment and keeps it in his observatory to study it further.
Meanwhile, the Sailor Guardians are enjoying a day in the Juban Shopping District. Luna falls ill and decides to go back to Usagi's house. Along the way, she collapses while crossing the road, and is almost hit by a car, but is rescued and nursed to health by Kakeru. Luna then develops romantic feelings for him, even kissing him on the cheek in his sleep, leaving Artemis crushed. Luna herself ends up with unrequited love because it is revealed that Kakeru himself has a girlfriend, an astronaut named Himeko Nayotake, and more importantly, because Luna is a cat. The two are devastated because Himeko is oblivious to Kakeru's belief of Princess Kaguya's existence. Later, after finding herself unable to reconcile her differences with Kakeru, Himeko leaves on a space mission.
The fragment of the comet attaches itself to his life force, and begins slowly stealing his life-force energy, causing him to become very ill. Kaguya later steals the shard, but because it is linked to his life-force, he is brought even closer to death when Kaguya throws the shard into the ocean and creates an enormous ice crystal that will continue to drain away Kakeru's life-force energy completely. She and her Snow Dancers then begin freezing the entire Earth, little by little. The Sailor Guardians attempt to stop her, only for Kaguya to revive the Snow Dancers using the Crystal. Just before Kaguya could kill the Sailor Scouts, Sailor Moon arrives and tries to talk her out of her plot. Wanting more strength, she activates the mighty powers of the legendary Holy Grail to evolve into Super Sailor Moon, but is easily overpowered by Snow Queen Kaguya. Determined to protect the Earth and its people, Usagi prepares to activate the Legendary Silver Crystal's immense energy and power. The eight Sailor Guardians, along with Sailor Chibi Moon, combine their own strength and Sailor abilities at once to further strengthen the healing power of the Legendary Silver Crystal, destroying Snow Queen Kaguya and the Snow Dancers head-on, and eliminating the ice crystal in the ocean, as well as her comet.
Usagi wishes for Luna to become the mythical Princess Kaguya for one night. Concerned about Himeko's safety, Kakeru wanders in the snowstorm and is saved by Luna at the exact point Kakeru saved her, transformed into a human. She takes him near the moon, where Himeko, on her space mission, witnesses the phenomenon and realizes that Princess Kaguya does exist. Luna tells him that he needs to start focusing on his relationship with Himeko, and the two kiss. After returning to the Earth, Kakeru takes up Luna's advice and meets Himeko at the airport, where the two lovingly hug. Artemis meets up with Luna, and the cats reconcile.
Continuing...
The girls end up watching the filming of a movie, where Chibiusa encounters a girl named Hotaru Tomoe, whom she quickly befriends. But in the end, she is revealed to be the 12-year-old daughter of Professor Souichi Tomoe, the possessed leader of the Death Busters. Super Sailor Moon uses her new "Rainbow Moon Heartache" attack to defeat the Daimon of the day.
The three Outer Guardians appear to Tuxedo Mask, and tell him why they cannot fight alongside Sailor Moon and the other four Sailor Guardians. Usagi and Chibiusa visit Hotaru, and see a woman who looks like Kaolinite. The Messiah of Silence appears demanding pure hearts.
Minako and Mimete enter a beauty contest at the same time, with Mimete willing to risk it all to obtain victory. Both fall short of the needed votes to win the idol position, and Mimete decides to just go back to her evil ways.
Hotaru overexerts herself, and is hospitalized, during which her past without friends is shown, and the reasons for it. Meanwhile, Mimete targets a soap opera actor, during which the attacking Daimon runs near Hotaru, who glows and completely freezes the Daimon.
Mamoru takes Usagi, Chibiusa and Hotaru to a botanical garden that is tended by Yoshiki Kurebayashi, an old classmate of his. While there, Mimete targets Yoshiki's pure heart and causes a storm that puts the plants at risk. Sailor Moon defeats the accompanying Daimon, U-Bara.
Hotaru wishes to give a letter to Shun Hayase, a famous athlete. He becomes targeted when she goes to give it to him, and she possessively blasts the enemy with a hugely strong amount of energy. She talks to Shun about being frail and weak, and he thanks her for talking to him.
Mimete attempts to create a Daimon by herself, throwing the entire Tomoe house into another dimension. The Guardians enter the dimension and are defeated by a game-master Daimon named U-Ikasaman. Hotaru manages to assist in her defeat by the use of a bluff.
The Sailor Guardians visit a planetarium, where a man is attacked by a Daimon. The symbol of Saturn appears on Hotaru's forehead, and she attacks the Daimon. However, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto attacks Hotaru, since she is both Sailor Saturn, the Sailor Guardian of Silence, Ruin and Birth, and also possessed by the Messiah of Silence. Super Sailor Moon takes the blow to protect Hotaru.
Chibiusa goes to Hotaru's house to find that Hotaru has disappeared, and is devastated about it. At the same time, the Sailor Guardians investigate Infinity Academy, where Mimete tries one final time to defeat them before Tellu literally pulls the plug on her operation.
Tellu develops a new plan to steal pure hearts, using a plant bred for that purpose. Setsuna Meioh (Sailor Pluto's civilian identity) realizes it is an alien plant made to steal pure hearts, and warns the Sailor Guardians. Tuxedo Mask causes a mutated plant to destroy Tellu, leading to them tracing her back to the mysterious Infinity Academy.
Ami investigates the Infinity Academy, where she meets Viluy, the fourth of the Witches 5. Viluy attempts to use her nanorobots to steal pure hearts from entrance exam takers. But after her battle, her own microscopic robots turn against her, destroying her in the process.
The fifth and last of the Witches 5, Cyprine steals pure hearts from Infinity Academy students, and the Sailor Guardians engage Cyprine, and her alter-ego, Ptilol, in a showdown. Meanwhile, Chibiusa is abducted by the recently resurrected Kaolinite, and her pure heart is stolen by Mistress 9, having taken over Hotaru's body, which allows her to awaken as the Messiah of Silence.
Mistress 9 uses all remaining Daimon eggs to create a powerful energized shield of evil minions around Infinity Academy. Sailor Moon is abducted, as she is the holder of the Holy Grail. After witnessing Sailor Pluto ultimately sacrificing herself to save them by using her forbidden ability to stop time, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune defeat Germatoid, the Daimon possessing Professor Tomoe with their talismans.
Sailor Moon is tricked into giving Mistress 9 the Holy Grail, which she uses to summon Pharaoh 90, the mastermind of the Death Busters, to Earth. Hotaru regains consciousness with the assistance of Sailor Moon and her father, destroying Mistress 9 and fully awakening the spirit of Sailor Saturn within herself at last. Sailor Saturn herself returns Chibiusa's pure heart crystal, and then appears before Sailor Moon to ultimately sacrifice herself and eliminate Pharaoh 90 once and for all with her destructive powers, but Sailor Moon gains the help of the other six Sailor Guardians to become Super Sailor Moon once more, and save both Hotaru and Sailor Saturn, who is reborn as a baby immediately afterward.
Haruka and Michiru give the newly reborn infant Hotaru to a still-healing Professor Tomoe, who is finally free of the Death Busters. However, they viciously attack Sailor Moon, for she protected Hotaru's body and Sailor Saturn, and risked the whole entire world for one mere life. The Silver Crystal throws them back, and they kneel to her as their leader and leave the city.
Chibiusa returns to the future after receiving a letter from her mother, Neo-Queen Serenity. Meanwhile, a final Daimon emerges from the rubble of Infinity Academy, and Chibiusa returns just in time to help defeat it.
