A/N: Really liked writing for this universe last time, and I've been rewatching the show, so got a little inspiration. Friendly reminder this is omegavere with g!p Jane. So if it's not your thing I don't recommending pushing forward.
All mistakes are mine
Jane wasn't lying when she told Maura she was insatiable during her ruts without suppressants.
They'd gone at it for hours, with minimal breaks, and just as Maura's heart rate started to slow and her body grew heavy the air thickened with cedarwood and cinnamon and causing a new pool of slickness to grow between her legs.
"Fuck Jane," Maura gasped her back arching off the mattress from Jane's insistent thrusting between her legs. They were in the guest bedroom because getting up the stairs was an impossible feat once Jane lifted Maura off the ground to thrust inside of her while still in the kitchen. "Oh god, don't stop."
"Never," It was a promise followed by the pressing of desperate kisses against sweat glistened skin. "Never stop. Always gonna take care of you. My mate. Mine."
Mate. They were finally mated, something Maura long since subjected to being a hopeless dream that pranced around in the back of her mind when no one else was around. But now, Jane husked it against her ear, while hands caressed every inch of her body, pinching her nipples, grazing her clit, pulling on long messy locks.
But the best of it happened inside of her, stretching her, filling her, making her body quake in anticipation and desire for something that she never wanted to end even though the conclusion was long awaited. Jane was desperate for something. Maura could feel it in those feverish kisses that were full of teeth more than lips trying to mark her everywhere.
"Yours. Only yours." Maura whimpered against Jane causing the woman above her to shudder before speeding up the movement of her hips.
"You're close." Jane could feel it in the way Maura dragged her hands down her backside to push them closer together. And the way she clenched around Jane, never releasing only tightening.
"So close." Maura mewled and elongated her neck, throwing her head back so Jane could see her barely healed mating mark.
Jane wanted to sink he teeth into it, to taste Maura that way again. But she knew it was tender from its creation the day before and the several times she'd latched on to it since. It needed a chance to heal.
"Please?" Maura begged her nails digging into Jane's ass and pushing her deeper.
"It's—" Jane couldn't help herself; she dragged her tongue over the sensitive flesh and groaned at the taste. Maura screamed in surrender pushing her neck further out. "—still fresh. It could hurt."
"Please alpha."
Jane felt the swelling in her base as soon as the words left Maura's lips. She was so perfect, the perfect mate, she had to protect her make sure she didn't get hurt. But gods Maura was begging for it. A beautiful conundrum Jane found herself in.
Maura wiggled and squirmed when she felt the widening based pushing against her entrance. "Inside." She begged, thrusting up, to entice Jane to meet her request.
Of course she was going to put it inside of her omega. That's where it belonged.
The feeling of being truly full was euphoric. Maura didn't know if she could ever survive without the feeling for the rest of her life.
"Say it again," Jane groaned in desperation as she continued with shallow thrust, rutting into Maura with desperation. They were both so close. Jane could have come earlier when Maura said it, but she knew how much her omega would have wanted to come around her knot instead.
"Please alpha."
Jane howled into the empty house before sinking her teeth into the delicate flesh and erupting inside of her omega.
Maura felt her entire body surrender to the feeling, waves of pleasure washing over her as she finally released everything that was pent up.
"So good. So perfect. Mine. Mine." The words were a mix of slurs and whispers as Jane continued to lazily thrust helping both of them ride out the last of their pleasure.
How could Maura have been so foolish? It wasn't like she was young omega fresh from presenting going through her first heat cycle.
But gods, Jane had felt so good. So strong on top of her. So desperate to give Maura everything she wanted in that moment.
Still, Maura should have voiced reason.
Instead, she was now washing her hands for the third time in two minutes because she didn't know what else to do. She didn't want to leave it alone in the bathroom, for no other reason than she was too much of a nervous wreck to not keep her eyes on it. But to just sit there watching the timer count down the last minute of her uncertainty was tormenting.
Uncertain was a far reach if Maura was being honest. She knew what it would say. The signs were all there, her breast were heavier, she was constantly nauseous, and the only things that didn't make her want to puke all of the time was the Indian food from around the corner and the scent of Jane.
Jane, sweet caring Jane. She'd spent the last two weeks distraught over her withdrawal and tried on several occasions to get Maura to speak to her. But Maura was quick and well versed in all things Jane. Always getting to work before her, and leaving once she had been called away for a case.
But Jane didn't relent. She could sense Maura's anxiety and it made her all the more on edge. Jane was itching to find the cause of her mate's burnt scent so she could eradicate it and put the woman back at ease.
A shrill ringing signified the end of three minutes, pulling Maura from her musings with a spiked heart rate and clammy palms.
What would she do? What would Jane do? Would she want one of her own? What if she worried over Maura's own awkwardness seeping into their…
Oh god, how could she have been so foolish?
Maura took a deep breath and soothed out the nonexistent wrinkles from her dress. She swallowed thickly before shaky hands reached out to pick up the white stick.
Pregnant.
She inhaled deeply, feeling the way her chest expanded and listening to the soft whistle as air traveled through her nose. Maura counted to ten then expelled it allowing her chest to concave and shoulders to drop in the process.
It did nothing to soothe her nausea and in all reality only made her focus on it that much more.
It'd been one week since the at-home test came back positive, and three days since Dr. Rhine called her to confirm that the blood test indicated she was indeed pregnant. They scheduled her first appointment for the following week to either start planning the next nine months or to let Maura know what her options were.
She had to tell Jane, Maura knew that, and she would never dream of making any decisions without her input, but the problem was, Maura hadn't quite gotten passed the avoidance phase of the recent information. In fact, she'd near damn doubled down on her efforts not to see or speak to the other woman.
Each time Jane entered the room, Maura suddenly remembered something she needed to do down in the morgue. And when Maura could feel the alpha's presence growing near basement, her scent starting to seep down the stairs, Maura unexpectantly found herself in the back entrance used by vans to drop off bodies.
She knew things were starting to get out of hand when she had to call Suzie to buzz her back in, but how was she even going to begin to explain this?
Jane would undoubtedly be hurt by how long Maura kept this a secret, maybe even angry with the pregnancy all together. And Maura didn't know if she could handle Jane not wanting to have a child with her. At the end of the day, she was an omega. A child with her alpha was better than finding out she passed her boards.
"Maura?"
She jumped at the call of her name and lifted her head from her desk. When had she dropped it to begin with?
"Oh, Frankie. I'm sorry, I didn't hear you come in."
"That's okay. We all have those days huh?" he chuckled in that boyish way that always made him seem years younger than he was. "You doin' okay?"
"Yes, just resting for a moment." She stood, her legs a little wobbly from the quick action forcing her to steady herself against her desk with an outstretched hand and causing Frankie to rush to her side. "I'm okay." She tried to reassure him with a delicate hand to his chest. "Just stood too fast. What can I do for you?"
"Are you sure you're alright? You look a little— very pale."
Oh, that was new.
But Maura nodded none the less. "Just a little nauseous from something I ate. What did you need?"
"Oh, uh—" Frankie scratched the back of his head and dropped his gaze to the floor. "Well, I was just coming down to check on you?"
She zeroed her gaze in on the young man before her, his awkwardness forcing the puzzle pieces into place. "Did Jane ask you to check on me?"
"Kinda— I mean, I offered you know. Cause we haven't been seeing much of you lately. It's been weird eating at your place but not with you."
She'd skipped out on the last two Sunday dinners in favor of volunteering at the clinic.
"I uh— I don't really know what's going on with you two. Janie won't talk to any of us about it, which was fine before, because you know she was talking to you. But if you ain't talkin' to her, and she ain't talkin' to us, that means she's spinning Maura. And Janie ain't too good when she starts spiraling like that. Flares up her anxiety which chips at her temper real quick."
Maura parted her lips prepared to defend herself, though she knew she had no real argument, but Frankie lifted his hands in surrender. He didn't want to insert himself in their stuff, but he'd loss rock, paper, scissors with the boys had to do this to save all their asses.
"I'm not saying go talk to Janie, if you're upset with her or whatever that's fine. But maybe just let her know you're not trying to dump her or something."
"Is that what she thinks?"
"What else would she think? You haven't talked to her in weeks. She's an alpha Maura, you know how they think all one track minded. If aren't relying on her to fix whatever this is, then it's gotta be her."
"No! Gods no, Frankie, Jane hasn't done anything wrong." Her breathing quickened, and the room started to spin. "It just all got away me from me so quickly."
"Okay. That's alright." He eased Maura back into her chair. "Just breathe okay. Imma take you home okay?"
"I don't want to lose her," Maura gasped between desperate breaths as her eys filled with tears. "This is such a mess."
Frankie wrapped his arms around the smaller woman. He knew he wasn't the type of comfort Maura needed, and decided he'd shoot Jane a quick text after he dropped her off.
Maura was startled to find Jane sitting on her couch when she pushed open her front door.
"Jane?"
"Janie!"
The pair said unison. Though with two very different dictions.
"I was just dropping Maura off," Frankie explained unable to stop the blush from rising to his cheeks from the pheromones erupting from the pair once they locked eyes. He was thankful he was beta most of the time not having to deal with that type of stuff. "I'll uh, let you to talk okay. See you later."
He didn't give either of them the chance to say anything else before pulling the door closed behind him.
"Why'd he need to drop you off?"
"I wasn't feeling well," Maura explained dropped her purse on the entry table and slipping off her heels. She didn't dare to make eyes contact again. "He was too worried to let me drive home."
"He's a good kid."
"He had a good role model." She meant Jane, but that didn't need to be said. "What are you doing here?"
"You won't talk to me."
"We've both been very busy." It was a half assed cop out and Maura knew Jane wouldn't accept it. Her heart stopped when she entered the living room and saw the white sticks sitting in paper towel on top her coffee tables.
She knew Jane couldn't have found them without specifically searching for something. Maura shoved them each at the bottom of the bathroom trash instead of just tossing them in the dumpster since there was so risk to Jane stumbling upon them.
What a foolish mistake she made.
"I will never be too busy for you." Her voice was filled with sincerity and the promise of an undying love, calling the guilt that had been building in Maura for weeks. Jane motioned to the crisp paper towel when Maura didn't respond. "I found them a few days ago."
Maura whipped around her eyes in accusing slits. "Excuse me?"
"Ma invited me over to talk while you were out and I couldn't— you would talk to me."
"So you searched my house!" Part of Maura knew it was irrational to be upset over Jane's actions. She'd practically driven her to this point, but still, she reserved the right to tell her in her own time. "That's a gross invasion of privacy."
"I know. I'm sorry. I just—" Jane bolted from the couch so she could pace. Her composure was slipping. It was the closest she's been to Maura in too long, the longest they'd been in the same space and she was desperate to fix this. "—you wouldn't tell me anything. I could feel how distraught you were, but every time I got close you ran away, and I didn't know how to help you. So, I did the only thing I knew how. And I found these."
"I can explain."
"It's okay. I mean— I get it. Why you didn't want to talk to me. But I've been thinking a lot about it. Tryna figure out how to put it all into words. That's why I didn't come sooner."
This was it. Maura could feel the tears burning the back of her eyes down to her nose. Jane didn't want this for them. She didn't want a family with Maura.
"I love you Maura. And I know you didn't mean for it to happen. You're always so careful with that kinda stuff."
What?
Maura wasn't sure what to feel at this point. Was Jane genuinely placing all of blame on her? Like she was capable of impregnating herself.
"I mean, I'm assuming you didn't mean for it to. But I'm not gonna run from it. It's not quite how I imagined this happening for us, but if you'll allow me I want to be apart of their lives. Your lives."
Something wasn't adding up.
"And of course I won't like it, but if Jack wants to be around I won't cause any problems. Just— fuck Maura, please don't run from me because of this."
The final piece in the puzzle of Jane's thought process fell into place and it made Maura feel a thousand times worse. Jane couldn't even fathom the idea of the baby growing inside of Maura being hers because Maura had run from Jane instead of to her.
With a deep inhale, she reached for Jane's hand mid stride and pulled her to sit on the couch.
"Jane, what is it that you think you're looking at."
"A pregnancy test. Jeeze Maura I know I'm an alpha but I think I know how shit works."
"I know I'm sorry," Maura apologized lifting her hand to scratch at nape of Jane's neck, trying to calm her down. Jane hated being confused and left in the dark. Something Maura had been putting her through for several weeks now. "That's not what I meant."
"Then what? Just ask me what you mean."
"Who is it that you think got me pregnant?"
"Jack," was the huffed tight lipped answer.
Jane had spent the last several days stifling down her alpha desire to storm Jack's place and pummel his face is for impregnating her omega. Each time she grabbed her keys she talked herself off the ledge reminding herself that Maura hated violence. And it wouldn't be fair to her unborn child to have a parent who beat the shit out of their other parent for being conceived.
That wouldn't have been fair to them and even if they weren't Jane's biologically they were still Maura's and that was all she needed to love them unconditionally and to make sure she did right by them.
Hell, even if they weren't either of theirs biologically she'd love them unconditionally because Jane just wanted a family with her mate.
"Why on earth would you think it's Jack's?"
"Well, who else's would it be?"
Was she serious? Had Jane forgotten the never ending sex marathon from their cycles syncing?
"You've clearly had an idea about it for a awhile, why else would you start avoiding me like that?" Jane justified. "It's been stressing you out, but you don't have to worry so much, I mean I imagine it's scary and you've been dealing with it by yourself, but you don't have to. I want to be there for you and for the baby. I know they're not mine mine so to speak but that won't change how much I love them and protect them."
How could Jane be this perfect? So ready to step in and parent a child that wasn't hers, that she never signed up for. Ready to make peace with Jack for the sake of their unborn child.
How could Maura have been so foolish to think Jane would behave any other way? She was naturally nurturing and protective, something Maura witnessed time and time again during their cases and towards Maura herself. Of course she would do the same for her omega's pup.
The realization made her cry.
"I'm not going anywhere," Jane whispered sliding closer to Maura and rubbing her nose along her cheek, releasing subtle scents of calmness. "You don't have to do this alone. Let me take care of you."
"It's yours," Maura finally choked out between silent sobs.
"What?"
"The pup, it's yours."
Jane froze mid comfort, her eyes bulging as the looked down to Maura's still flat tummy.
"I had my period not long before you and I synced and Jack and I were not intimate in between. It can only be yours. Likely conceived during our cycles."
Jane still didn't move. She didn't know whether to be excited about having a family with Maura or hurt that she'd kept the secret for so long.
"How long have you known?" She finally settled on.
"Definitively? Blood work confirmed three days ago, the at home test over the last week. I kept taking more the closer I got to my scheduled appointment. Though I've suspected for three weeks now."
"Three weeks?" Jane roared jumping from the couch. "That's nearly a month."
"I just suspected Jane. I wasn't sure."
"Your guess is better than most doctors! How could you keep this from me?"
"I didn't know how you'd respond." Maura hiccuped, tears falling free. "We never talked about kids before and I should have said something before we got carried away."
"Jesus Maur." Jane sat back beside the omega and pulled her close until her face was pressed against her chest and Jane could kiss the top of her head "It takes two of us to have a kid ya know. I should have said something too, but even so— I don't regret it."
"You don't?"
"Of course not. You're the perfect omega. Our kid's gonna blow the rest of them outta the water. They'll get your brains and willpower, maybe my determination or perseverance. We're probably creating the next president or somethin'."
"Based on brains and perseverance?" Maura asked around a watery laugh. "That also sounds like the makings of a supervillain."
"Okay," Maura had a point, but Jane was determined to spin this into a positive. "Possibly, but they'd probably still be a supervillain with a good cause that everyone just misinterprets. Either way they're gonna be the best." Jane couldn't help but puff out her chest at the thought of their kid. She knew no matter what she'd be fucking proud of them.
But Maura was more hesitant. Not because she didn't think they would perfect, but because she couldn't help but remember her own childhood. "You don't think they'll be shy or awkward?"
"Hm, I mean maybe they could be. Hell, they could be an anxious mess like I was as a kid. Could have a temper outta this world too. Doesn't really matter though, cause they're not gonna have to deal with it alone." Jane turned so she could fully look at Maura. "It's not gonna be like when you were kid Maur. We're gonna be there for them and they're gonna know they're loved before they ever come outta you. I mean, you've met my mother right? You think she's gonna let that kid think for second they ain't got a village behind them?"
Maura nodded in agreement. Angela certainly wouldn't allowed that.
But she couldn't help by fidget with her hands in her lap, glancing up at Jane periodically, as a small silence fell over them. There was still so much to unpack. She was glad Jane wasn't upset about her being pregnant, but she'd still kept a rather monumental secret from her and despite their conversation couldn't figure out if Jane was upset over that or not. "Are you mad at me?"
"I'm not mad," the response came quick in an effort to ease Maura's fears. "But I am hurt that you didn't tell me. You shouldn't have been dealing with this alone." She pulled Maura's fidgeting hands into her own and brought them to her lips for a reassuring kiss. "You gotta trust me, even with the scary stuff. I'm your alpha, you gotta know no matter how scary or how mad I could get I will do anything for you."
"Anything I want, you can get it."
"Exactly. That's never gonna change."
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"It's okay." Another kiss to her hands because she'd missed Maura so damn much. "I get it was a scary thing."
"You really would have taken care of them even if they weren't yours?"
"Of course. Whether Jack was involved or not. If you allowed, it that kid was gonna be just as much mine as yours."
"You're a very good woman."
"I'm alright." Jane said with a shrug. "But I try to be the best for you. No more runnin' from me though alright."
Maura could see it now, looking up at Jane. The way heavy dark spots sunk underneath her eyes, her hair wilder than usual, her suit wrinkled.
"You haven't been sleeping."
"No."
"Because of me?"
Jane nodded. She didn't want Maura to feel bad, but she wasn't going to lie to her either. "Anyone ever tell you what it's like being a mated alpha?"
"Directly? No. But of course I studied the subject in medical school."
"Yeah, and I'm guessing they didn't go into much detail pass the sciencey stuff."
"What do you mean?"
"You're my mate."
A blush crawled up Maura's cheeks, she'd never get tired of hearing that. "Yes, I know."
"No, I mean you are my mate. I've known from the moment I met you and you were calling me a hooker. Technically it's the science of it all, pheromones, chemical balances all that shit that makes us a perfect match. But after awhile it became more than that your giant brain, your big heart, you eagerness to learn, the way you care for others, alive or dead." Jane wasn't sure if she was making much sense, but now that she'd gotten started there was no stopping. "Everything just screams I can fulfill your needs and you mine. It was bearable before we mated, but once you got my mark I was done for. The chemicals and shit started to effect the psychology of it."
Maura nodded along. Listening intently to everything Jane was saying. Some of this she knew of course. The chances of perfect mates between omega and alphas had been studied for years, but it was a rare thing to fine. And there weren't many accounts from omega's views.
"So when you were avoiding me," Jane continued, "and I could sniff out how distressed you were I wanted to protect you, let you know it was all okay and I'd fix it. But you also didn't want to be around me, so I had to respect that because you're my omega and I only want to give you what you want. So, it was kinda like be pulled in two different directions. And my alpha need to do right by you was clawing at me looking for answers I didn't have. I couldn't tell you how many nights I just wanted to come over here on my knees begging for you to tell me how to fix it."
"I— I didn't know it was like that for you."
"Yeah," Jane said with a shrug. "They don't really talk about it much cause alpha's don't want to look weak. But the reality of it all is when an alpha finds a true mate, we're fucking putty in their hands."
"How do you know about all of this?"
"You kiddin? As soon as I met you, I had to figure out what the hell was going on with me. Finally tracked down a professor at BCU who was an expert on alpha omega relationships."
Years. They had been friends for years and Jane never said a word. Was she so willing to suffer in silence just to make Maura comfortable?
"Why didn't you say anything?" Maura asked.
"Right, cause a few months into us being friends I was gonna head down the morgue and tell you, you were my one and only." Jane dismissed the idea with a shake of her head. "Pfft, after what happened with that alpha in California. Not a chance. I'd take you however I could have you. Even if it was just as best friends."
Maura couldn't believe it. How easy going this conversation was for Jane. She was doing more than expressing her undying love. She was confessing to never wanting another mate in her life and it was all so casual. She spent years wanting Maura on a deep psychological and physical level and was just going to suffer if Maura never felt the same.
"Why isn't it the same for omegas?"
"I don't know." Another shrug. "Biology I guess."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt this way."
"Enough apologizing it's not like you knew. Plus, I got you now right?" Maura nodded. "Good. Anyway we should be celebrating."
Maura arched an eyebrow in amusement. Jane's scent was shifting from comforting to playful with little hints of arousal. "Celebrating?"
"Yeah, you're carrying my kid. Of course, I always dreamed about it, but to know it's actually happening. That I knocked you up on our first cycle together. That's something to celebrate."
"And pray tell—" with hooded eyes and cherish cat smile Maura leaned forwards forcing Jane to her back so she could crawl over her. "—how do you plan to celebrate?"
"By making sure it really worked of course."
"Gods Jane," Maura couldn't believe she'd denied herself the pleasure of this for three weeks. It was exactly what she needed in these beginning stages of pregnancy.
How foolish could she have been to do such a thing?
Jane felt like liquid sex wrapping itself around her, filling all of her, securing Maura in a high of oxytocin and dopamine like she'd never felt before.
Jane was always so in tune with her body. Knowing just the right moment to pin her hips to the mattress and thrust up pulling a long drawn out moan from Maura that had goosebumps erupting down her spine.
"Why would you run from me like that?" Jane husked her hips pulling back slowly, encouraging Maura to chase her, only to be stopped by the hand keeping her pinned. "You know I'll always take care of you."
"I know. I know." Maura promised in a begging whisper. She hooked her arms underneath Jane's and pulled until ungodly hot skin molded against her own everywhere.
"Do you?" She goaded the woman trapped beneath her with a flick of her tongue against her ear.
"Mhm."
"Tell me how."
"You know my favorite Thai restaurant."
"It's the closest to you with above three hundred reviews at four and a half stars." She pulled out, this time leaving her tip to reset against Maura's entrance. "That's easy to guess."
Maura groaned when she realized Jane wasn't pushing back in. "What are you doing?"
"Tell me how you know."
"Jane, please."
"Tell me."
"Because you threatened my mother."
"She told you about that?" Jane pushed in, velvety heat enveloping her member, squeezing her tight begging for Jane to never pull out again.
"She didn't have too. I saw the two of you talking and I could see your fake smile drawn into place, unwavering. But not her. She enunciated every word perfectly. You knew I could read lips. She didn't."
"You're a child genius. It's expected you would have some obscene talent like reading lips." Instead of pulling out this time Jane went still, unmoving, just filling Maura in all the right ways and driving her all the more crazy with need.
"Jane please." Maura begged with soft whimpers. "I need you."
"I need to know you know. I need to know you won't run from me again."
It was honest and raw and Maura understood where it was coming from. She heeded to Jane's request, dropping her knees open in the process. Giving herself so completely to her alpha.
"You came for me. In every training they tell you to save yourself first, and you were in a prime spot to do so. You could have gotten out and called for back up, keeping yourself alive in the process. But you didn't think like that. Instead, you came down to get me out. You risked your own life without knowing if I were dead or alive to begin with."
"Then why did you run?"
"Because the way you love me is terrifying, and I wouldn't have known what to do if you didn't anymore."
Jane dropped her head to Maura's shoulder, resting her entire body against hers and began to move. That's what she needed to hear. Confirmation that Maura understood how deep her devotion ran.
"I love you. No matter what, I love you."
Maura gasped and shuddered, her body overcome by the emotions of what's she admitted, and the way Jane was dedicated to proving her love through their actions.
"You're everything." Jane breathed out in hot air against Maura's chest, just abover her heart. "I'm gonna take care of you and our pup."
"Oh god."
Jane was such a perfect alpha, saying all the perfect things. "I'm gonna be so good to you."
"Fuck."
"Mine. My mate. My family."
Maura felt herself clench and her body stiffen at Jane's soft chant. It was so protective and possessive and everything she'd always wanted.
"You feel so good baby," Jane whimpered her thrust picking up the pace. "Like you were made for me." She shifted to balance herself on one hand so the other could snake between where they were connected to rub at Maura's slick clit. "You gonna be a good girl and come for me?"
"Hu uh," Mara whimpered her head thrown back, neck elongated.
"When?"
"So close."
"What do you need?" Jane already knew the answer, but she wanted to hear Maura say it.
"I need you to claim me while rubbing my clit and shoving your knot inside of me."
Oh gods it was better than what'm she thought she was going to say. "You want my knot?"
"Always." Maura panted. "Always alpha." Maura knew that was the fastest way to make it appear. Confirming that Jane was hers.
"Fuck, that's right," Jane could feel herself swelling and she didn't hesitate to push herself deeper into Maura, filling her omega the way she wanted. "Fucking take it. Take my knot." Her thrust grew rougher and the motions against Maura's clit faster.
"Please," Maura keened wrapping her arms around the back of Jane's head to force her mouth where she needed her most. She was so close, just missing the one action that would be her undoing.
Jane couldn't deny her any longer, Maura's scent was taking over wrapping itself around Jane making her mouth water to claim. She bit down hard, pale skin breaking instantly under the pressure.
The damn broke, Maura crying out in pleasure and pulling Jane further into her by her ass cheeks.
"Mine. Mine. Mine." Jane pumped once twice thrice each one aiming to push further into her omega, painting corridors no one had ever reached before as she came undone inside of her.
"Have you been to the doctor yet?" Jane asked her fingers drawing lazy circles over Maura's spine.
Her knot had long since deflated but Maura was insistent on keeping Jane inside of her while they laid in bed. Her reasoning being she'd been without the feeling for too long.
"Just to confirm the test. I have an appointment next week to map out a plan with Dr. Rhine. I'd like for you to go if you can."
"Of course. Whatever you need." A small comforting silence took over, until Jane whispered her thoughts softly. "You'll have one once a week right?"
"Hm?"
"The check ups for the kid. Once a week?"
"That's a little extensive Jane. It's still very early I will likely be asked to come in every three to four weeks until we hit twenty two weeks."
"I don't like that."
"It's completely normal."
"How will I know everything's okay if they only see you once a month?"
Jane was fiercely protective; she always had been and a pup on the way was only going to cause that to escalate. Maura realized she should have figured as much.
"Well, I am a doctor Jane. I believe I might be able to tell when something isn't right."
That wasn't good enough. "Two weeks."
"I'll push Dr. Rhine for three instead of four but I'm not asking for biweekly check ups." Maura leaned forward to peck Jane's lips, signifying the end of the debate. "I love how much you worry for us. Don't ever stop."
"I couldn't even if I tried."
"You should sleep," Maura whispered snuggling further into Jane's chest.
"Yeah. Maybe not a bad idea," she was already half way there. "I love you," Jane mumbled, and pulled Maura tighter. "The both of you."
And that one little slur made Maura's heart explode just as sleep claimed them both.
