"Woah, would you look at that." Kiara said laying on her back. Next to her was Kovu also laying on his back "What? What is it." Asked Kovu. "Those stars over there look like a rabbit." Kiara said as she pointed to that formation. "Oh yeah I see it." He said. "Me and my father would do this when I was younger. Sometimes Kion would join us." Kiara said. They got up and Kovu asked. "What was Kion like when he was younger?" Kiara looks at him. "What do you mean?"
"Me and my pack of outsiders ran into Kion 5 years ago. My mother Zira thought she could go against him. She was wrong. But as he took in more animals to create his army I always wondered what he was like before he became this warlord." Kovu answers.
"Well, Kion was a nice and kind soul. He was a born leader no doubt. He had good friends. He was of course annoying from time to time. But what shocked us was how strong and fast and brave he was for such a young age. We were also shocked at how fast he grew the start of his mane at such a young age. But him being a boy and all made him have a small ego. But he was also protective to his friends and family. I could also tell he had strong feelings for his friend, Fuli. His heart was the reason he left. He left to get Fuli something but I guess that went wrong." She said,
"Wait, sometimes when he had his episodes he would start babbling about someone named Fuli and how he would make her his Empress." Kovu said. "Huh. Wait, what do you mean episodes?" Kiara asked. "Let's just say he might have been hit on the head hard." He said. "There you guys are." Ono said as he flew down to them. "Hey Ono. What's up." Kiara siad. "Well long story but Kion has a 'date' with Fuli." Ono said using air quotes on the word date. "So we should head back to Pride Rock to help get it ready." Ono said. He flew off with Kovu and Kiara not far behind.
"Up, up a little higher, no, now down a bit, yes that's good." A rhino said to snakes who were hanging on branches with mango fruit with fireflies in them in their mouth. Kion wants everything to be perfect. Snakes, a few Kometo dragons, lemeras, and vaulters were picking up branches. Alligators were getting rocks and a tree trunk out of the small pound next to the tree.
Kion told his troops about it and they were happy for him. They knew what he had to do to find the heart shaped flower, even though he couldn't get one. Kopa thought it was a good idea to tell Kion old friends and his family. They weren't that enthusiastic about it but after Kopa said this could bring back the old Kion they decided to give it a shot.
Shzei, Ed and Janja were picking up bones when Rafiki said. "I really hope you know what you are doing Mufasa. If this goes south then we might never see the good old Kion we knew and loved. "
Kion was talking to Simba."Okay this is a little strange to ask at such short notice but, how do I start a date out." Kion asked. "You're joking right." "Nope," Kion said. "Well I don't know. Most of my time was trying to get the Pride lands fixed, ruling it, and helping make the next generation with your mother." Simba said that last part a bit awkwardly. "Simba, I don't think he gets what you're saying." Timon said. "He gave me the talk at 7. So I actually do." Kion said.
They walk away. Kion said, "Okay Kion, you got this. You're just having a date with your childhood crush who used to be your friend. You got this, I just have to stay calm and everything will be fine. Oh, who am I kidding, my flirting skills are as good as a herd of elephants being stealthy." "Fuli is on her way." Shenzi said. "Good." Kion said.
The rest of them left. But then Kion had a pain in his left eye. Kion puts his paw over it when some says, "Kion." Kion puts his paws down and a small flash of green is seen in his eyes. He turns and sees Fuli.
"Ahhh, Fuil. Come closer. I won't bite." Kion said. "Kion what you're doing to the Pride lands is madness. Some animals are starving thanks to your new system" As she is saying this Kion retracts his claws. Then he checks his breath before pushing his hair back. "The world is full of problems, even for an emperor." Kion said.

Kion: It's tough at the top. I deserve a companion, a mate who will stand with me.
Kion starts to circle Fuli
Kion: My cylinders firing with fervor, and you my sweet thing, fit the part.

Kion walks next to Fuli

Fuli walks back a bit

Fuli tries to walk away but Kion stops her.

Fuli once again tries to get away but Kion once again stops her.

Fuli walks backwards as Kion starts to walk forward.

Kion steps back as he holds his check. Kion puts his paw down and Fuli sees a small amount of green disappear from the corner of Kion's eyes. Kion looks at her. She expected his eyes to be fill with anger but that wasn't the case. Kion's eyes were filled with guilt, sadness, and pain.
"Kion I-" She couldn't finish her. "You may leave and be with your family." Kion said as he turned and walked away. He sits down on the cliff edge. Fuli stands there for a moment. She looks at the path she took to get there and then back at Kion.
"What am I doing?" Kion said to himself. "I have no donut, ruin my chances with Fuli. I can't believe that I'm doing all this just because of a childhood crush." He said again. "Childhood crush, huh." Kion looks to see Fuli standing there. "Oh, how much did you hear?" He asked as he looked away. "About all of it." She answered as she sat down next to him.
"So, that was quite the performance back there." Fuli said. "Yeah, sorry about that. It's just, sometimes I'm not in control of myself even though I am. I guess my nerves might have been another reason." Kion said. "Yeah, so did you really have a crush on me when we were kids?" Fuli asked Kion. He looked at her and nodded. "So why did you leave? I know for a fact that it wasn't to create this army." Fuli asked Kion. He sighs. "The reason I left was to get," He stops and looks down, "you something to show that I loved you." Kion finished. "So you left as a kid, not knowing what could happen to you, because you loved me and wanted to get me something." Fuli said. "Yes''
"Well I must say that sounds pretty sweet of you." Fuli said. Kion looks at her. "You want to head to the watering hole." She said. "Sure." He said, knowing that she doesn't hate him. "So you want to race their or just walk there." Kion said. "Ha, please, we both know that I would win. So I think walking is good." She said,
They began to walk. Rafiki is watching the whole thing from afar, "Boy was that a close one, Mufasa. But hay, who would have known he got your trait of being terrible at flirting. But now, it's time for them to feel the love tonight. He-he-he."

After a while they reach the watering hole and stop to drink some water.
Kion in his head: How could I ever make her forgive me. Even when this was all for her. No way she will ever love me.
Fuli in her head: I may never forget what he did, but I know he is trying to be the king I knew he always could have been.
Kion looks at Fuli, smiles, and runs back. He then runs and jumps into the watering hole. Fuli looks over the water.
Fuli: Kion?
Suddenly Kion lunges up under her and pulls her in the pond playfully. She immediately comes out dripping and miffed. When Kion comes out, she playfully pushes him back in.

The scene switches to them tussling. They end up play fighting. After tumbling down a hillside, Kion ends up pinning Fuli. She gives him a tiny lick on the cheek. Kion looks surprised and stares at Fuli. Fuli gives Kion a seductive smile. Kion expression changes from a surprised one to a comprehending one.

They walk back together. "I must say this is a pretty amazing night." Fuli said to Kion. "Yeah, but I think the girl next to me is even more amazing." He said. This caused Fuli to blush a bit.
"So if you want you can go back and stay with your family." Kion said. Fuli looks at the direction that her family lives. "Thanks Kion. But it's pretty late. Maybe I can stay with you.' Fuli said. Kion was blushing now. "Re-Re-Really. Y-you want to stay with me for the night." Kion said stuttering.
"Yes Kion. I mean I really don't like that cave I been sleeping in." She said.
They went to Kion room. Fuli went to the place where Kion sleeps but noticed he was laying on the ground. "What are you doing?" Fuli asked. "Well I was just letting you have the bed." Kion answered.
"Kion. Come on, it's fine." Fuli said. Kion remembered the last time someone disagreed with her and decided to just listen to her. They lay down side by side. Kion knew that nothing special was going to happen so he kept his paws to himself.
They fell asleep. A little while later Fuli woke up to some noise. She looked and saw Kion growling in his sleep. She had a idea. She got Kions right are up and got closer to him. She then put his arm down. His arm was now around her. And their tales were together. Fuli fell asleep happy that Kion calm down.
