The sun was shining brightly in the sky as a very muscular adult male with the physical appearance of a Greek God flew through the air.

He was patrolling the skies of Tokyo for any signs of trouble down in the city below.

"Hmm." The man quietly said to himself. "Not hearing any disturbances. Might as well cut this short."

He landed on the ground, electing to end what he was doing.

Had he not ended it early and continuing flying across the city, the sound of a creature running underneath the city would have been picked up by his enhanced hearing.

It was a reptilian creature with a fur pelt on it's back.

This was a Gabumon, a rookie level Digimon who's primary attack was Blue Blaster, a stream of ice-like flames released from it's mouth.

For some reason, Gabumon felt the need to stop as if something was attracting him.

"Sir, a Digimon is running through the sewers underneath the city."

"What kind of Digimon?"

"According to the database, it seems to be a Gabumon." A woman answered after typing on a computer.

"Bring it to Yoshi's attention."

Elsewhere...

A magenta-haired woman observed someone flying through the air and then descended to the streets below. She was going to ask him a few questions about what he was doing.

A vehicle identical to a police car drove to the area the figure was seen descending from the air.

The car then stopped right next to him.

"Hey, excuse me!" Yoshi called out.

The man turned to look at her. He had slicked back black hair and striking blue eyes, leaving Yoshi spellbound at how handsome he was.

"Do you need something from me?" He asked out loud.

Yoshi snapped out of the state she was in.

"Who are you?" She pointed a finger at the figure.

"People call me Superman." Superman informed her. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm picking up something strange."

He went to uncover the source of what he was hearing.

"Yoshi, we've picked up a Digimon in the city."

"I'm on my way now." She sped off to the area the Digimon appeared in.

At the same time...

The police had cordoned off the area after Gabumon emerged from the sewer tunnels.

"Stay back." A police officer ordered.

He then noticed Yoshi and Superman approach the tape.

"We're not allowing anyone past this tape." He stated.

"I'm a DATS agent." Yoshi held her badge out to the officer to confirm she was part of the organization.

"And you?" The officer gestured to Superman.

"Started hearing something strange with my enhanced senses. This prompted me to investigate further." He explained simply.

"In fact, I can hear something 500 feet away from our current location."

"What?!" Yoshi exclaimed in shock.

She bypassed the tape and headed straight for a park. Superman lifted himself off the ground and flew after her from a safe distance.

Yoshi then stumbled across sixteen humans laying on the ground, unconscious.

"This is Yoshino. I've just found sixteen humans in need of medical attention." Yoshi announced through a device in her ear.

She then decided to see if there was anyone else, instead seeing her target.

"Lizard-1's within my sight." She informed her associates.

Gabumon seemed to have heard what Yoshi said just now.

"Who are you?" The rookie level Digimon murmured.

"Lizard-1 is capable of speech." Yoshi said.

Gabumon then sniffed the air.

"There's something else here. It doesn't smell like a human." He growled.

"Not a human?" Yoshi inquired.

Who was Gabumon referring to?

Superman then slowly walked over to them.

"You." Gabumon jabbed a finger at him. "Why do you smell so suspicious?"

This threw Yoshi for a loop.

"What exactly are you?" She demanded.

"It's a...long story." Superman began before trailing off.

"Oh okay." Yoshi seemed to accept his response. "I see you're able to fly."

"That's just one of my powers." He admitted.

"To tell you the truth, I'm not from Earth." Superman held up his hands.

"Not from Earth." Yoshi had a confused expression on her face.

Yoshi remained silent for a few moments.

"Ever heard of Krypton?"

"Krypton?" Yoshi asked.

"A planet located in a different galaxy, light years away from Earth."

"What?!" Yoshi exclaimed in shock. "You're an alien!"

He nodded yes.

"This is too much information for me to process." Yoshi sat down so she wouldn't pass out from the shock.

He looked at Yoshi.

"I'm surprised you haven't fainted." He said.

Yoshi recomposed herself.

"Mind telling me more?"

"Another time." He frowned. "You came here for another reason."

"Right." She remembered that a Digimon was right in front of them.

"Lizard-1, hold it right there!" She yelled.

Gabumon ignored her and ran away from the area.

"Hey, come back here!" She gave chase.

Superman was left behind.

He accelerated past the tape before jumping into the air and taking flight. He held his arms out in front of him like a torpedo.

There were other areas of the city for him to patrol, after all.

Yoshi eventually managed to catch up with Gabumon in a alleyway.

He whirled around and faced his pursuer, growling.

"Will you come quietly Gabumon or will I have to use force?" She offered.

"Try it." Gabumon challenged.

Icy-blue flames formed in his mouth.

"Blue Blaster!" A smokescreen was created enabling him to escape from Yoshi.

"Ah, he got away." A sonic boom was then heard overhead.

In less in a second, Superman was on the other side of the city. This was heard by a 14 year old teen in a orange jacket.

"What was that about?" The teen questioned out loud.

A amber-colored lizard was staring him down.

"Hey, don't take your eyes off me." The lizard called out then charged, punching the teen while he was distracted.

"Now you've done it." The fight between the two escalated.

Their fight lasted several hours until dusk and the two elected to take a break.

"Well, is that a draw?" The lizard asked.

"My name's Agumon by the way." Agumon introduced himself to his opponent.

"Marcus Damon." Marcus introduced himself as well.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Marcus." Agumon told him.

"Where exactly did you come from anyway?" Marcus decided to ask Agumon something that popped into his head.

"I suppose you could call it the facility." Agumon said.

Marcus and Agumon then got to their feet.

"Want to come with me." He went on. "I feel like you can make me a lot stronger."

Marcus stepped forward and put a hand on Agumon's shoulder.

"It would be my pleasure." He accepted Agumon's offer with a smile on his face.

Agumon stared at him for a while.

"Yippee!" Agumon cheered.

"Now there's one other matter to resolve." Marcus stated. "Who produced that sonic boom I heard earlier?"

He took it upon himself to find out.

"Ready Agumon?" The two headed off to investigate the sonic boom.

About ten minutes later, Marcus and Agumon found a figure hovering in the air with two subdued car thieves in his hands, descending to the ground.

His eyes narrowed.

"Why are you two here?" He asked sternly.

"Heard a sonic boom while I was confronting Agumon ten minutes ago." Marcus answered in detail.

"Well, my birth name is Kal-El." He said. "But you can call me Clark Kent."

"Now if you'll excuse me." The two car thieves were effortlessly escorted to a police station.

After the two thieves were arrested, Clark returned to where he left Marcus.

Yoshi also came onto the scene.

"Get away from that Digimon!" She ordered.

Marcus decided to lift Agumon onto his shoulder.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Yoshi exclaimed.

"There's no way I'm letting you do anything to Agumon." Marcus explained why he was doing this.

Flames then formed in Agumon's mouth.

"He's going on the attack." Yoshi saw Agumon preparing a attack.

The fire ball came her way, but Superman stood in front of Yoshi taking the fire ball with no visible signs of damage.

"Thanks for the save." Yoshi sighed in relief.

Gabumon came running over after Marcus and Agumon left. He was intrigued by the man he sniffed earlier.

"What are you doing here?" Yoshi asked, raising a eyebrow.

She wondered why Gabumon would make a reappearance after escaping from her earlier.

"I want to see what this guy is capable of. What do you say to us being partners?" Gabumon proposed.

Clark smirked.

"You got yourself a deal." He gently shook hands with Gabumon to avoid injuring him due to his super strength.

Agumon's attack produced a smokescreen allowing the two to flee.

"They're gone." Yoshi stated out loud.

That evening...

Marcus and Agumon sneaked into the Tokyo Tower and went to the top - making sure they were out of sight.

"That was great thinking Marcus." Agumon complimented him while looking down at the city.

Marcus had a question to ask Agumon.

"Thanks, but who exactly was that woman?!" He shouted at the dinosaur.

"I'm not exactly sure. Odds are I came...from the institution." Agumon answered.

"I just hope I'm not forced to go back home." He added.

"What am I getting myself into this time?" Marcus asked in annoyance after getting up from the bench he was sitting on. "Listen, I'm going to help you out."

"That would be great!" Agumon cheered. "Just one request, can you get me something to eat. I'm starving."

"Yeah sure. Do you mind waiting here?" Marcus made his way over to the elevator.

"No problem." Agumon agreed to stay in the tower to avoid being noticed.

He walked to the closest store and looked around.

'Would Agumon eat this.' Marcus thought to himself as the cashier ringed it up.

"Add this as well." A female voice added. Marcus saw this and glanced at her warily, but she wasn't affected by her stare. "Is there a problem with that, Marcus Damon?"

She, Clark and Marcus sat down at a water fountain.

"I love chocolate pudding. It reminds me of my childhood." Yoshi explained after taking a bite of the pudding.

"I'd like a dollar back." Marcus told Yoshi.

"I'll pay you back as soon as you disclose the location of that Digimon." She answered back while shooting a look at Marcus.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. And even if I did, there's no reason for me to tell you." Marcus hoped she would give up, but sadly that wasn't the case.

"You really shouldn't lie." Clark chided him. "Especially considering I can hear him inside a tower 500 feet away."

"How did-?" Marcus was in disbelief he knew this.

"Enhanced hearing." Clark explained.

"And I know everything about you. Marcus Damon - born April 2nd in Tokyo, blood type B, Otori Middle School eighth grade. Your father disappeared ten years ago and you live with your mother - Sarah and little sister Kristy who looks up to you even though you generally act like a jerk. Do I paint a accurate picture?"

"Who are you exactly?" A curious Marcus questioned.

"My name's Yoshino Fujieda. I'm a special agent for DATS." She introduced herself to Marcus while displaying her badge.

Marcus looked at the badge, now confused.

"What exactly is your job?" He asked.

"We control creatures known as Digimon who come from a location known as the Digital World and protect the general public from them." She explained.

"That's very exciting, but why should I be concerned?" Marcus questioned her.

"That Digimon you're hiding. I need to secure it. Do you have any idea what panic it would cause if people discovered Digimon. Now, where is it?" Yoshi asked in a serious tone. She meant business.

"Maybe he's returned to the Digital World?" Marcus stated.

"I already know you're hiding him from me, so stop coming up with excuses." Yoshi countered. "Anyway Digimon don't eat this stuff. They only eat special food made for Digimon."

"Special Digimon food? Where's that?" Marcus asked. He was angry for spending money for no reason.

"It can't be bought in stores. Only my HQ has it. If Raptor-1 isn't returned, he'll starve to death." Marcus didn't like what was being said.

"Fine. I'll go with you." He admitted defeat and elected to go with Yoshi.

"Thank you." Yoshi said quietly, guiding Marcus back to her vehicle.

Superman lifted the vehicle off the ground and carried it to DATS HQ to bypass any traffic. Upon arrival, it was gently placed onto the ground and Yoshi and Marcus get out.

"Fujieda reporting back." Yoshi addressed her boss.

"You're Marcus Damon?" A tall man questioned. "My name is Commander Sampson. The DATS team welcomes you."

"DATS?" Marcus questioned.

"Is that some kind of abbreviation?" Clark asked.

"Who's this?" A strange white creature wrapped around Sampson's neck took notice of the second figure.

"I'm Clark Kent." Clark introduced himself. "I brought them here."

Something about the second man felt familiar to Commander Sampson.

"Wait...you're-" He recognized the second man. "What brings the Man of Steel to our headquarters."

Marcus's eyes widen. He wasn't expecting to have encountered a world famous hero today.

"You accepting recruits?" He asked Commander Sampson.

Commander Sampson was at a loss for words with his question. It wasn't very often someone asked if DATS was recruiting agents.

"Do you have a Digimon partner?" Gabumon then stepped forward.

"That would be me." He held a hand out to Commander Sampson.

"What's with the talking scarf?" Marcus asked.

"This talking scarf is my Digimon partner, Kudamon." Commander Sampson informed Marcus.

"Every DATS agent is partnered up with a Digimon. Allow me to introduce you to Lalamon." Yoshi held a pink and green plant in her arms.

"What? Partners?" Marcus exclaimed before noticing a black chess piece aiding a woman with long purple hair. Nearby was a white chess piece aiding a woman with short blonde hair and a turtle handing out cups of tea.

"Yes. Here at DATS Digimon and their human partners deal with Digimon that commit crimes." Yoshi told Marcus as the turtle handed him and Clark a cup of tea.

"Enjoy." The turtle said.

"I'm not thirsty." Marcus told the turtle.

"Suit yourself." The turtle replied.

"I've had enough of this. There's someone waiting for me, so can you please stop wasting my time and get to the point." Marcus informed Commander Sampson.

"Calm down. Don't get angry. Whether Raptor-1 is saved depends on you." Sampson informed Marcus and once noticing he had his attention, continued. "We are currently in the middle of a unprecedented crisis. The wall separating the human and Digital World is starting to collapse. We don't why but Digimon are appearing in the human world frequently."

"Our primary objective is to maintain peace and harmony between the human world and the Digital World so a renegade like Raptor-1 must be kept under control." Kudamon informed Marcus.

"Why is Agumon a renegade?" Marcus asked. He decided to take the tea.

"Raptor-1 has already entered the human world and encountered humans. For this reason he cannot be allowed to remain free."

"Please cooperate. The future relationship between humans and Digimon depends on you returning Raptor-1 to us."

"Not gonna happen. I'm going to make Agumon a lot stronger and even if I wasn't I owe you people nothing."

"If he causes any problems, I'll accept full responsibility." Marcus stated to the others with a outstretched hand.

Then alarms went off.

"Commander, a Digimon has been detected in area D-59. A hamburger stand is being attacked by an unknown creature."

"It might be Raptor-1." Yoshi commented.

"I seem to recall you saying that Digimon only eat special food. What would motivate Agumon to destroy a hamburger stand." Clark reminded her.

He then pulled open his shirt and went to area D-59 to put the fire out.

Marcus then ran out of the room as well.

"Marcus wait." Yoshi called out.

"Yoshino, go after him." Commander Sampson ordered.

"Yes, sir." Yoshi did just that.

"Seal off the area and assess damage control. Emergency level 5." Sampson instructed.

"Sir, yes sir." They typed away on their computers.

Marcus eventually made it to the tower.

"He's not here. He told me he wouldn't leave."

"So this is where Raptor-1 was hidden. A lot of good it did because we confirmed he's the one responsible for attacking the hamburger stand."

"I beg to differ." A voice said.

Yoshi and Marcus saw Superman right in front of them.

"What do you mean?" They asked at the same time.

"While in the middle of putting that fire out, I heard something concealed by the smoke." He explained.

Then there was an explosion nearby.

"Yoshi, the Digimon's in area 205." Lalamon stated from inside the Digivice.

"Got it. Marcus, this is dangerous so let us handle it." She informed Marcus, before noticing he had already gotten into the elevator.

"Oh no, this is the worst." Yoshi muttered.

"Where are you Agumon?! Agumon!" Marcus shouted after emerging from the tower.

"Is that you Marcus? Keep yelling so I can find you." Agumon had a trash can on his head so he was unable to see.

"Were you the one that attacked the hamburger stand?"

"What are you talking about? I never attacked anything." Agumon replied.

"What's over there then?" Marcus asked.

Back in the tower Yoshi had to use the stairs to get down to the ground floor. Through the window she saw something was off.

"Hurry Yoshi, the Digimon signal is to the southeast." Lalamon told her partner as she came to a stop to look into the smoke.

"He was right." Yoshi admitted. "That doesn't resemble a dinosaur at all."

Emerging from the smoke was a large white chicken.

"The data signature...it's a Kokatorimon." The long-haired woman told the others.

"A Champion level Digimon." Kudamon said out loud.

"So that's the culprit that attacked the hamburger stand. It must be stopped." Commander Sampson declared.

"What is that?" Agumon asked Marcus.

"I'm not sure, but I do know it caused you to be falsely accused of destroying that hamburger stand."

"It's gonna pay." Agumon growled.

He wasn't happy about taking the fall for what Kokatorimon.

"Come on Agumon." They charged at the bird. It saw them coming and walked off.

They weren't about to let him leave that easily and Marcus grabbed his foot to start climbing.

"Pepper Breath." Agumon spit flame breath from his mouth.

"What is Raptor-1 doing?" Sampson asked as he watched the battle on the screen.

"He hasn't been tamed. I don't understand why he's fighting alongside a human." Kudamon stated, confused.

Marcus then climbed up to get a better position to go on the attack.

"No!" He shouted in alarm when one of Kokatorimon's feet landed on Agumon.

"I'm fine, but would you mind helping out." Agumon strained under Kokatorimon's foot.

"Sure, by lending two fists." Marcus prepared to punch Kokatorimon.

Agumon threw Kokatorimon's foot off, causing Marcus to lose balance.

"Get off him! That thing will tear you to pieces." Yoshi shouted down below from the stairs.

Marcus heard this, but knew fighting was more important than his safety.

"What about what I do to him." Marcus commented before he started punching Kokatorimon.

"You've got him right where you want him Marcus." Agumon commented.

He was worried when Kokatorimon's tail feathers lit up and for good reason as it shot a strong beam from the beak; swaying his head from left to right.

"Watch out!" Yoshi called out.

Kokatorimon then hit the ground. Someone had pulled their fist back and punched it in the side of the face sending it crashing down after Agumon was struck by the beam. Gabumon joined in the attack.

"Petit Fire." He fired icy blue flames from his mouth.

"Agumon." Marcus said as he leaped off Kokatorimon and ran over to his partner. He tried to wake him up by gently shaking him with no reaction.

"Raptor-1 is silent." The purple-haired woman commented to the others. None of them felt like celebrating.

"Agumon." Marcus said as he leaned over his partner in the rain. He knew it was time for payback because Agumon wasn't breathing.

"It's...IT'S FIGHTING TIME!" Marcus shouted as he turned to face Kokatorimon who had gotten back up. He zig-zagged to avoid being struck by Kokatorimon's beam and then leaped into the air.

He then felt something strange on his right fist.

"My fist." Marcus stated after landing and taking a few steps back from his adversary. His fist was covered by orange energy.

After punching Kokatorimon, Clark had sky blue energy cover his body.

'What is this?' He thought to himself.

"Hey." A new voice spoke.

A fisherman was standing in the smoke.

"Heads up." He threw two devices to Marcus and Clark.

"What is this?" Marcus asked, confused.

"Those are Digivices. Use it in combination with your DNA. By mastering this technique you can digivolve your Digimon." The man explained.

"Who are you? What are you talking about?" Marcus demanded.

"Use your fists to awaken Agumon." The man informed him disregarding Marcus's questions. They looked at the strange devices in their hands, unsure what to do with them.

"DNA Charge!" They exclaimed.

"Agumon and Gabumon's charges have hit their limit. They've reached their ultimate charge." The blonde-haired woman announced.

"But how? Could it be..." Sampson trailed off.

Back on the battlefield Marcus and Clark decided to put the energy to good use.

"Agumon digivolve to..." Agumon called out as the energy flowed through his body. "Greymon."

"Gabumon digivolve to..." Gabumon also felt the energy in his body. "Garurumon."

"They've changed forms." Marcus said as he gazed in awe at what happened to the two.

Kokatorimon fired his beam again, but Greymon and Garurumon didn't feel it.

"Nova Blast!" Greymon spews high-temperature flames from his mouth.

"Fox Fire!" Garurumon spews high-temperature blue flames from his mouth.

Both attacks fused and reverted Kokatorimon back into a Digi-Egg.

"Kokatorimon is gone. It's been turned into a Digi-Egg." The blonde-haired woman said.

"They did it!" The violet-haired woman cheered.

"Have Yoshi return right now." Sampson said as he sat back in his seat.

"What's on your mind Sampson?" Kudamon asked.

"Anyone that can tame a Digimon, unlock their DNA and make him digivolve that fast is someone I want on my team." Sampson said.

It was around dawn and Superman extinguished the remaining flames while Yoshi picked the egg up.

"I still want something to eat Marcus." Agumon told him.

"How about a nice hamburger?" Marcus offered.

"Will it have cheese on it?" Agumon questioned back, but Marcus was distracted by what the old man said.

"Let's get out of here Gabumon." Clark said.

"Right." Gabumon agreed.

He took flight while Gabumon followed him.

"Marcus, hello." Agumon tried to get his attention.

"Yeah sure, the works." Marcus answered back.

They decided to go somewhere else, but a shout stopped the two in their tracks.

"Hold on a second!" Yoshi yelled at the two who helped stop Kokatorimon.

"Before another Digimon attacked the hamburger stand, but Agumon injured over a dozen people. This proves he's very dangerous. I still have to bring him back to DATS." She explained.

Marcus then decided to come clean.

"That was my fault actually." He stated. "Those were some punks that wanted to take over my territory. So I had to teach them a lesson."

"You're one tough customer." Agumon stated.

"I certainly am." Marcus replied.

"Marcus is the worst." Yoshi stated with her fingers on her head.

"I ought to arrest you right now!" She shouted.

"Run Agumon!" Marcus exclaimed.

He and Agumon ran away from the irate Yoshi.
