Malakai walked aimlessly through the streets of London, lost in thought. He didn't return to the apartment where Zephyr and Seraphine were waiting for him. Instead, he wandered through the dimly lit alleys, his mind filled with memories of his parents and their words of wisdom. He couldn't stop thinking about their final words to him, about the importance of love and family, and the true meaning of power.
As he walked, he passed by familiar landmarks and streets, but his mind was too consumed by his thoughts to register any of it. He couldn't bring himself to go back to the apartment, where he knew he would have to face his friends and explain what had happened.
The night was long and lonely, and he walked until the first rays of dawn started to light the sky. It was then that he realized he needed to go back to Zephyr and Seraphine. He needed their support and help to defeat the new dark lord.
With a heavy heart, he turned and made his way back to the apartment, his mind still filled with thoughts of his parents and their parting words. He knew that he would never forget the lessons they had taught him, and he was determined to honor their memory by defeating the new threat to the wizarding world.
As he rounded the corner, he collided with an older wizard, who had been walking in the opposite direction.
"Sorry," Malakai muttered, taking a step back to regain his balance. He looked up and was struck by the man's aristocratic features and platinum hair. The man's eyes widened as he looked at Malakai, and a flicker of recognition passed over his face.
Malakai looked at the man in front of him, trying to place him in his memory. He looked familiar, with his sharp features and slicked-back platinum hair, but Malakai was sure they had never met before. The man seemed to sense his confusion and offered a small smile.
"Malakai Riddle, isn't it?" he said, extending his hand. "Draco Malfoy. We've never met before, but I've heard a lot about you."
Malakai shook his hand tentatively, still trying to process the fact that he was talking to one of the most notorious Slytherins from his father's generation.
"What can I do for you, Mr. Malfoy?" Malakai asked politely.
Draco's smile faded, and his eyes flickered with a hint of desperation. "I need your help, Malakai. There's someone I'm looking for, and I think you might be able to help me find him."
Malakai raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And who might that be?"
"Lord Faenrhar," Draco said, his voice low and urgent. "He has something that belongs to my family, something that's been passed down for generations. I need to find him and get it back."
Malakai hesitated. He didn't know much about Lord Faenrhar, except that he was a powerful wizard who had been gathering a team of talented young witches and wizards. But if he could help Draco, maybe it would be a way to repay him for his father's help during the war.
Malakai's curiosity got the better of him, and he found himself asking Draco, "You met my father, didn't you? How was he? How was it to work for Voldemort?"
Draco's expression darkened, and he let out a deep sigh before answering. "Yes, I met him. And I have to say, it was not a pleasant experience. Your father was a powerful wizard, that's for sure. But he was also ruthless and cold-hearted. He would stop at nothing to achieve his goals, no matter who got hurt along the way."
Malakai listened intently, his heart heavy with the knowledge of his father's dark past. "But... he must have had some good in him, right? He was a husband and a father, after all."
Draco nodded slowly. "Yes, he did love your mother and you. But it was a twisted kind of love. He was possessive and controlling, and he saw you both as nothing more than extensions of himself. I'm sorry, Malakai. I know this must be hard for you to hear."
"Then... He did spoke of me and mom?" Malakai's heart was pounding with anticipation as he asked Draco the question that had been on his mind since he learned about his father's past. Draco hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering uncertainly, before finally responding.
"Yes, he did," he said, his voice low and hesitant. "He spoke of you and your mother often. He was...proud of you both, in his own way."
Malakai felt a mix of emotions wash over him at Draco's words. He had always wondered what his father had thought of him and his mother, but he never imagined that his father could have been proud of him.
"What did he say?" Malakai asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Draco looked at Malakai with a mixture of sadness and sympathy. "He spoke of your mother with great affection. He loved her, Malakai, truly. As for you, he saw great potential in you, even from a young age. He believed that you could carry on his legacy."
Malakai looked at Draco and nodded in agreement. "I'll help you find Lord Faenrhar. But there's something you should know," he said, his voice serious.
"What is it?" Draco asked, his eyebrows raised.
"Valerian, my friend, he's being held captive by Faenrhar. I need to find him as soon as possible. And I have a feeling that whatever he has that belongs to the Malfoys might be the key to finding him."
Draco's eyes widened in surprise. "Valerian? I've heard of him. He's quite talented, isn't he?"
Malakai nodded. "Yes, he is. And he's also a good friend. I won't rest until I find him and bring him back safely."
Draco looked at Malakai with a newfound respect. "I see. Well, I'll help you find him too. And I'll tell you what I know about Lord Faenrhar."
Malakai smiled, grateful for the unexpected help. "Thank you, Draco. I appreciate it."
As Malakai approached the apartment building, he could see Zephyr and Seraphine standing outside, their faces etched with worry. He quickened his pace, eager to put their minds at ease. But as he drew closer, he realized that he wasn't alone. Walking beside him was an older wizard with sharp features and platinum blonde hair, who he recognized as Draco Malfoy.
Zephyr and Seraphine's expressions changed from concern to confusion as they saw Malakai approaching with Draco. Malakai could sense their apprehension and quickly introduced Draco to them. After a few moments of awkward small talk, Malakai explained to his friends that he had agreed to help Draco find Lord Faenrhar in exchange for his help in rescuing Valerian.
As Malakai and Draco entered the apartment, Zephyr's eyes widened in excitement. He couldn't believe that he was in the presence of a true legend, a hero of Slytherin House, none other than Draco Malfoy himself! He couldn't contain his enthusiasm and blurted out, "Oh my Merlin, it's Draco Malfoy! The one and only! I've read so much about you in Hogwarts: A History!"
Draco, taken aback by Zephyr's exuberance, raised an eyebrow and smirked. "I see my reputation precedes me," he said coolly.
Zephyr continued to babble excitedly, asking Draco a million questions about his time at Hogwarts and his life since the war. Seraphine watched with amusement, knowing that Zephyr had always been a bit of a fanboy when it came to Slytherin personalities.
Malakai felt a lump form in his throat as he absorbed Draco's words. He had never imagined that his father could have loved his mother, or that he had seen potential in him beyond just being a tool for his own ends.
Malakai rolled his eyes good-naturedly at his friend's antics, but couldn't help feeling a bit grateful for the distraction. After all the emotional upheaval of the past few days, it was a relief to have something lighthearted to focus on.
Draco turned his attention to Malakai, his expression serious once again. "So, what happened to Valerian?" he asked.
Malakai took a deep breath and recounted his encounter with the Dark Lord, including his use of the resurrection stone to speak with his father and Laertia. He also told Draco about Lord Faenrhar's involvement and his plans to find and rescue Valerian.
Draco listened intently, his eyes widening in disbelief at certain parts of the story. When Malakai finished, he let out a low whistle. "Well, that's quite the adventure you've been on," he said. "But we still need to find Lord Faenrhar and get that locket back."
Zephyr and Seraphine looked on in fascination, their eyes darting between Malakai and Draco as they spoke. Zephyr couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for Draco, a legendary figure in Slytherin House. Seraphine, meanwhile, couldn't shake off a nagging feeling of unease at the mention of Lord Faenrhar.
Malakai turned to Draco and raised a finger towards Seraphine, who was standing behind him. "We have a secret weapon of our own," he said, his voice carrying a hint of pride. "This is Seraphine, Lord Faenrhar's daughter."
Draco's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Seraphine. "Lord Faenrhar's daughter?" he repeated, clearly impressed. "I had no idea."
Malakai nodded. "She's been working with us, and we believe she can help us find Valerian. But we need your help too. Do you know where Lord Faenrhar might be keeping him?"
Draco frowned, deep in thought. "I'm not sure," he admitted after a moment. "But I know someone who might. I'll contact them and see what information I can gather."
Malakai nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea. And in the meantime, we can work with Seraphine and see if she can lead us to Valerian."
Zephyr piped up excitedly. "This is like a real mission, isn't it? We're working with a Slytherin and everything!"
Draco gave a small smile at Zephyr's enthusiasm. "Yes, it seems so," he said. "But we must be careful. Lord Faenrhar is a dangerous man, and we don't know what he's capable of."
Malakai nodded solemnly. "We understand the risks. But we have to do whatever it takes to save Valerian."
"Whatever it takes it is", sDraco nodded finally.
