I know that the legal drinking age in the US is now 21 but in my mind it is 18 so deal.
They made good time and arrived exactly at 8:00. Once they got there they were greeted by an ecstatic Kidd beaming and ranting about how they had arrived perfectly on time and how Maka's hair was symmetrical. He let them in and everyone jumped up and shouted variations on "Happy birthday," or " You're old now!". Maka smiled and said " Thank you everyone for having this awesome party for me." After that Black*Star yelled at the top of his lungs " Let's get this party started," and cued the music.
A random pop song started playing over the stereo system and most of the people went to dance. Tsubaki and Liz helped Patty drag a reluctant Maka out to the dance floor. Black*Star was currently hanging from a chandelier hyped up on sugar and a little bit tipsy. Soul came over and offered Maka a cocktail saying "How's about your first legal drink?". Maka took the drink and downed it in one gulp. "Thanks, come and dance with me!" Soul put both of their glasses on a nearby table and walked out to the dance floor with her.
A couple hours and a couple drinks later Soul had driven a slightly tipsy Maka home and put her to bed. He then sat down in front of the tv and vegged until 11:00 when he went to bed. Seeing Maka curled up in their bed made him smile and as he crawled into bed he thought of how lucky he truly was to have as beautiful a girlfriend and Meister as her. He also thought of the little black velvet box hidden inside his dresser drawer and the emerald engagement ring inside.
