Personally, I have always been of the opinion that being a benevolent peacetime king is nothing short of torture. Or, my own take on continuing after the end of "The Last Airbender" TV show, centered around Azula's redemption and Zuko dealing with life in general. Zucest story, so here's your warning. "The Search" is cannon, but no "Smoke and Shadow" and no Korra stuff.

Due to a criminal lack of Zucest, I shall dedicate a one-shot to my take on THE Zucest moment in the show - the infamous bedroom scene. Zuko's banishment will be much longer in this fic than it was in the show, so the Fire Siblings are a bit older (and far less awkward).

But when these four meet, something happens that shakes them to their core: Zuko airbends. A reimagining of A:TLA book 1 with Zuko as the Avatar. The romance is a very slowburn side plot and not the focus.
