Okay, most of this takes place in a made up city that is kind of based of a mix of New York and Detroit. Sorry if nowhere in England is like this.

I've been running for weeks but I'm still not far enough. I stowed away on a private yacht and went from America to England. I've been staying in a small town but it's time to move again. I've become an exceptionally good pick pocket, that's how I get money to eat. I've been staying in an abandoned house, it's pretty run down but it does the job. Right now I'm buying a bus ticket to some town called Middleton. I've never heard of it but it seems far enough away. My knife is taped to my side; it's secure enough to keep it in place but loose enough so I can get to it in an emergency.

I sat down on a bench there's still ten minutes until the bus comes. The lady next to me is talking obnoxiously on her phone. Her large hand bag is open and next to her. She caught me looking at her and turned away so her back was facing me. Slowly and silently I pulled her leather wallet out of the bag then I got up and walked away. I pulled out the cash then dropped the rest of the stuff in the trash. I smirked slightly and repeated the process by standing next to women with purses. Finally I had $522 and the bus was coming.

I walked through the bus door and straight to the back of the bus. I sat down and put my legs across the seat. I leaned my head on the seat trying to remember if I had slept the night before. I slipped my hand under my shirt, gripping the handle of the knife. Then slowly I drifted to sleep. When I woke up the sun was just beginning to rise, it had turned the sky a beautiful color. I stared out the window watching the sky fade from peach to its normal blue. Then the bus stopped and we all filed out.

I wander around town for a while until I came across a small cafe. I went in and had a cup of tea along with some crumpets. I added a large amount of sugar to the tea and smiled. Mother used to make tea for us and we both would add a lot of sugar. I left the cafe and it was close to two. This wasn't a small town like I thought it would be. Skyscrapers and other large building lined the streets. I walked around in awe, until I ran into this boy. He was a lot older than me with light brown hair and blue eyes.

I pushed my black sunglasses up farther on my noise making sure my inhuman eyes were hidden. "Are you lost" he asked looking almost concerned. "Yes, could you give me directions to the library" I asked in a bored voice. He nodded and said "take two rights then a left it's the big building at the end of the street". I nodded then walked away without turning back but I could feel his eyes watching me until I turned the corner. I followed the directions until I arrived at the library. I loved to read, mysteries are my favorite especially Sherlock Holmes. I sat in the mystery section and began to devoir book after book. I had read six when the librarian informed me it was closing time.

I walked out and the sun had disappeared, it was dark and I hadn't picked out a place to stay the night yet. I walked down the street until I saw a few drunken guys. I cut through an ally just in case; I really don't want to have to stab anyone. There were four large guys beating up a smaller one. I hated to see people picking on someone smaller than them, it reminded me too much of my dad. "Stop it" I yelled at them, putting my hand on the hilt of my knife. They all walked towards me and I smiled a sickly sweet smile. One of them seemed slightly disturbed but they all were still coming.

Then before I could react, a guys voice yelled "what the hell do you guys think you're doing". I spun around to see the boy from earlier, he smiled a knowing smile at me and a snapped my head down. The first guy in front of me replied "we're just teaching this little girl how to mind their own business. Do you need the same lesson Isaac?" He chuckled and said "no, I don't need your idiotic lesson because as soon as you mess with my little sister you mess with me". "Oh shit, we had no idea Isaac" said a different guy. I recovered from my shock quickly and turned around with a smile "you're the best big brother ever, Isaac" I said in a sweet childlike voice. "Come on, Ella" he said and I quickly followed him out of the ally. Neither of us talked until we were safely inside his apartment.

I was very nice but also very empty, there wasn't another soul. "Why did you help me" I said in my normal voice, narrowing my eyes behind my dark glasses. "I knew ya were livin on your own too and I could tell ya were new in town but you seem to know what you're doin so I kinda want ya as my alley" he explained southern drawl coming into his voice. I was surprised by the sudden change in accents and he could tell "it's a Brooklyn accent, that's where I'm from but most of the time I use English accent to blend in with everyone else". I nodded understanding because I had been doing the same thing for quite a while.

"What do I get if you're my alley?" I questioned smirking. Without missing a beat he replied "how bout a roof over your head, protection and someone to trust". My smirk widened and I pulled out my knife and threw it just an inch from his head. "I missed on purpose and that's the only time I miss" I said superiority dripping from my voice. "I get it, you can protect yourself" Isaac said rolling his eyes. "The rest of it sound like an okay deal" I said with my arms crossed over my chest. He grinned at me then ruffled my hair.

I was planning to make it a lot longer but there are two ways I could go about it and I wanted to know what my reader wanted. Because I'm asking this the next chapter can't come up until I get at least one more review. The first option is to make Annabelle a thief and the second is to make her a conman. Or I could do a combination of the two. Please tell me what you want and tell me if you think Annabelle is a marysue.
