In no time Siryu was graduating university. Watching him receive his diploma Serenity shed a few tears and I'm not ashamed to say that I did too.
"I'm so proud of you my boy." I hugged him tight, finding it hard to believe he was taller than me. "We'll go somewhere special for dinner to celebrate, what do you say?"
"I'd love to but there's this party some of my class are going to..." he trailed off hopefully. I looked to my wife, to see what she wanted to do.
"Oh go have fun, Sweetie," Serenity smiled. "We'll celebrate later."
