Bamon Kicking Ass

Prompt two/Rating T

"Oh, god!" cried a distraught hybrid just before his jugular and heart were simultaneously ripped open.

Caroline calmly ordered a drink – hand hanging in mid air – only to find the bartender passed out in a heap of blood, alcohol and other unmentionable bodily fluids. With a pout, she unhappily put her arm down.

"It burns!" wailed a vampire that tumbled clumsily into the women's washroom, its untouched arms wildly hitting its own face in an attempt to extinguish the scorching flames that quickly engulfed the top half of its body.

Tyler, unblinking, sipped at his bloody Mary.

Noticing that his drink was still half full, Caroline quickly grabbed the glass out of his loose hand and sulkily sucked the red liquid through an abandoned silly straw. She continued to drink as she took off the obnoxiously pink cocktail umbrella and placed it – without looking – behind her boyfriend's ear. Not questioning her motive, Tyler, remaining blank as ever, reached behind the bar to snatch a bottle of cherry schnapps, unscrewing the cap and taking a long, hard swig before both swivelled on their bar stools to survey the scene in front of them.

It was absolute chaos.

Broken bodies were either dumped or impaled across upturned tables and broken chairs, their dull grey faces forever stuck in a state of shock. An odd mixture of blood and shattered glass coated the wooden floorboards of the old tavern, making the floor near impossible to tread on, which glumly reminded Caroline that she was wearing her favourite Louis Vuitton's and that simply wouldn't do. Hoping to find a broom nearby to clear the surrounding space, blue eyes quickly scanned the spontaneous battle field, only for them to fall upon the object in question being held threateningly above the head of another familiar blue eyed vampire before it was brought down and plunged through the chest of an overly cocky hybrid. The blonde couldn't help but continue to lap up the bloody Mary with an aggravated sigh, she was undoubtedly bored out of her mind so she stole a fleeting glance at the love of her life who sat unfazed by the scene playing out before him. Eventually her steady gaze was torn to a nameless vampire being flung dangerously across the room by a fuming witch.

What had started out as a civilised evening, soon materialised into a blood filled bar brawl.

"Well this is nice." Tyler began pleasantly, taking another swig of his cherry schnapps before kicking away a severed head that loitered just a tad too close to his girlfriend for his liking.

"No it isn't!" Caroline hissed irritably, chugging the rest of her drink before wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. "They've ruined our double date, again."

"You know how protective he is around her." The hybrid reasoned.

"Yeah, well he should have thought about that before taking on a 500 year old vampire in an arm wrestle, with only the misplaced hope of winning in his arsenal."

"Come on, the guy looked—" the blonde slammed her empty glass on the bar surface, the object shattering on the immediate impact, cutting off the hybrid completely.

"—he should of thought about that before wagering his girlfriend as collateral!" she continued.

Tyler playfully twirled the pink umbrella behind his ear before charmingly correcting her. "That was actually her idea."

Caroline groaned into her perfectly manicured hands.

And as the dust and blood settled on the impromptu warzone, with the final body slumped over a broken door, two figures clad in black and leather stopped next to each other, chests heaving as the left over adrenaline poured out of them. The air was tense and no one moved, blue eyes clashed with green in a silent understanding. And then a sound, a quiet noise that nearly wasn't caught bubbled from the woman's pursed lips. She was laughing, a choked noise that contradicted the hellish bloodbath that surrounded them, and then he began, as if the madness was contagious, laughing in disbelief as he pulled the woman towards him, wiping her blood stained cheek before kissing her sweetly on the mouth.

"Well this is nice." Tyler repeated pleasantly.
