*so I'm only 5 months late, no biggie. Please read A/N at the end, or not idk

Harry, Ron and Ginny were waiting outside the library for their favourite bookworm to arrive. As the clock striked midnight, Hermione stepped out of the library doors, her hair bushy and her face flustered. She was met with three anticipating faces, watching her intently.

"Well?" Ginny asked.

Hermione walked over to a bench and layed out her notes.

"I got something," Hermione replied. "It took a while and I had to go through the Restricted section to find some books but I was finally able to find a locating spell which, if I did it correctly, leads us to here." She pointed to a point on a map she so conveniently carried with her mountain of notes.

"Great," Harry said. "... so where is it?"

"It's a few kilometres away from the Forest of Dean. We can apparate to there then walk the rest of the way." Hermione looked up from her sheets. "Are we ready to go?" Upon seeing them all nod their heads, she nodded back then held onto Ginny before apparating with a pop.

.

There was a woosh as the four of them landed at the Forest of Dean. Making sure that everyone was okay, Hermione began walking north, her map in her hand.

"This place brings back memories," Harry commented as they tread through the thick jungle of trees.

"Yeah," Hermione replied. "The good and the bad."

Ron laughed nervously and Ginny glared at her brother. "The bad memories don't have anything to do with you, do they?"

"Pfft, no!" Came her brother's reply.

Hermione and Harry sniggered as they continued walking through the cold, dark forest.

A few hours later, they arrived at an abandoned building.

"Is this it then?" Ron asked.

"Yeah," Hermione replied quietly. She glanced down at her feet.

"Hermione you don't need to do this alone," Harry said.

"Yeah," Ginny added, "we can come with you."

Hermione shook her head. "No, it's better if you stay hidden. That way, they won't know what they're up against."

All of them shook her head and Hermione pulled out her wand. "Okay, I'm going in. Disillusion yourselves and check the defences around here. Then, try to get in without anyone seeing you."

Hermione turned around and started walking towards the house, albeit rather slowly. She arrived at the door within minutes and pushed it open, emitting a loud creak. She pushed the door wide open with a bit of force and whispered "Lumos". The room brightened a fair bit and Hermione was able to walk without fear of tripping over something.

For a while Hermione was just walking by herself passing empty rooms. With every room that she passed, she was beginning to think that she went to the wrong place. However, all those thoughts were gone when she entered the last room.

It was quite spacious to be frank and Hermione would not have noticed there was anyone in there without the small chandelier hanging by the ceiling, illuminating the room with its small light bulbs. One person was in the middle of the empty room tied to a chair, unconscious. Hermione's heart quickened when she saw white-blonde hair and she stepped inside, immediately regretting the decision. The shadows around the room turned out to be men in black cloaks and they stepped forward, surrounding Draco, whose head was dangling to the side.

"Ah Miss Granger, how nice of you to join us." The man's voice was deep and slightly raspy.

Hermione narrowed her eyes as the man pulled his hood off. She could make out his distinct features; the sharp angle of his cheekbone and the dark, brooding eyes.

"Rodolphus Lestrange, so pleased to finally meet." He hissed the last word and narrowed his eyes at her small form.

"Not sounding too good there Rodolphus. Getting a bit old?" Hermione knew she shouldn't have baited him and gave him a reason to be angry but she couldn't stop herself.

The person beside him laughed and drew their hood back. "You better watch yourself Mudblood," Pansy threatened.

Hermione scoffed and tightened her grip on her wand. "You don't scare me Pansy."

"Oh?" came her surprised reply. "Well you should be."

Pansy flicked her wand and the two become involved in a duel, firing spells back and forth. With Hermione deflecting every spell Pansy threw at her, she let out an angry shriek and fired a stupefy at Hermione, who narrowly escaped it.

"Enough." Rodolphus' voice rang out. "Miss Granger, what is your purpose of coming here?"

Hermione glared at the Lestrange patriarch. "Isn't it obvious?"

"Well yes, but how do you plan on taking all of us?" He gestured to the half a dozen men beside him. "8 on 1 doesn't seem too fair does it?"

"No it doesn't." Another voice called out.

They all whipped their heads around to see Harry standing in the doorway, along with Ron and Ginny. "It's 4 against 8 and I think we can manage just fine."

Harry sent a quick stupefy to Rodolphus, who deflected it easily and ricocheted into another Death Eater's chest. Everyone began firing spells back and forth; Harry, Ginny and Ron battling the other Death Eaters while Hermione was in a tight duel with Pansy.

"I'm not some school drop out Granger," Pansy said as she sent a spell towards the bushy-haired witch. "I'm more advanced in duelling than you are."

"I normally don't play this card," Hermione said in between firing spells, "but I fought Voldemort and his crew of amateurs. I don't think you are more advanced."

With an outraged cry, Pansy casted several dark spells at Hermione. "You don't know me!" She cried out. "I'm better than you!"

Hermione didn't know what had triggered such anger but it made Pansy's wand movements lousy, therefore giving her the perfect opportunity to cast a wandless Expelliarmus. Pansy's wand flew out of her hand and clattered onto the ground. The Slytherin's eyes widened and she looked at Hermione before becoming stiff and falling to the ground because of a Stupefy.

Hermione smiled triumphantly and looked around. Harry, Ron and Ginny managed to stun the other men and were now trying to untie the rope around Draco and the chair. She rushed over and gave a quick wave of her wand, making the rope disappear completely . The three Gryffindors looked up astonished before Hermione shook her head at them, smiling at how they forgot to use their wands.

The brunette walked over to Draco, who was still unconscious. She waved her wand again and recited "Finite Incantatem." However, nothing happened. She bit her lip then began casting any spell she knew that would hopefully wake him up but sadly to no avail. She kneeled down and sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Harry walked up to Hermione and placed a hand on her shoulder. "We'll take him to . They should be able to do something."

Hermione nodded then stood up, walking out of the door silently, the rest following behind.

"You know I've got to admit," Ron said as they walked out of the building, "that didn't take too long. They weren't a very skilled bunch were they?" He was greeted with silence and the shaking of Ginny's head.

Once they were a few metres away from the building, Hermione turned around to face Ron, Ginny and Harry, who was carrying Draco by his shoulder.

"St. Mungos?" She asked.

They all nodded to one another before apparating once more with a loud pop.
