Light headed away from the crime scene with haste, it would do him no favors to be seen near a crime scene, especially if he was going to take his rightful place as Kira again. He had no problem with a criminal dying, that was not the problem, the problem was that he had no idea how she had done it. It was obvious that she was not in possession of a Death Note so that was out of the question and it was impossible for her to be a shinigami. He could ask Ryuk but he knew he wouldn't receive much of an answer from the apple crazed clown so he decided against it. Perhaps it would be better to just wait for her to tell him herself but judging from her behavior today that happening soon would be completely unlikely.
He didn't know her name so he couldn't kill her if she became a nuisance and she could easily kill him it seemed without there being any evidence against her. The odds were against him in every way in this game. He was playing with his life again it seemed, and there was nothing he could do about it. He was trapped the only way to go was forward, perhaps she was a bit more like Misa, maybe she wished to help him, maybe he could somehow manipulate her. Though the more he thought about it the more he doubted it. She was smarter than Misa could have ever hoped to be. Not only that Misa was willing to do whatever he wished as soon as he met her and she believed every lie that he told her, such a foolish woman could never hope to achieve the level that he was at, she had no right to be with the god of the new world. When he arrived at his apartment again he was surprised to see her there, how did she know where he lived and besides that, why was she here. He was at a complete disadvantage and he knew it.
"Light Yagami" She said her voice sounded like it was floating before it settled on his ears, it sounded quite eerie.
"Yes?" he asked deciding that there was no point in staying in silence, he headed towards the kitchen in his apartment and she followed.
"I do believe that we should cut contact when we are in public, so as not to seem suspicious, even though most police don't know who you are, there are a few remaining and seeing as how you do not wish to be caught and your dream remains to become god of the new world I do believe that we should not meet in public, therefore if you see me in public do not communicate with me." He saw the logic in this and it reminded him of what he had told Misa a while ago.
"I agree with this however I have some questions; first of all what is your name, or what should I call you and secondly, how should I come in contact with you?" she smiled and replied.
"You may call me... Cassandra I suppose will do and do not worry about contacting me, I will contact you when I deem it necessary, now goodbye Kira I do believe I must be leaving."
