"Okay Ms. Blue, what's the capital of Florida?" Mrs. Perry asked me, her red hair bouncing as she turned around.
I looked up from my writing notebook in surprise, and pushed my glasses up on my nose. "I uh, don't know." I blurted out.
She cocked an eyebrow, her brown eyes filled with disappointment. "You weren't paying attention?" She asked.
"N-no." I mumbled, lowering my eyes.
The class busted into a fit of giggles and laughs and once again my face heated up and tears pooled into my eyes. It's extremely hard trying to fit in and frankly, I'm the only strange one around here. No friends, just my writing notebook and my brother Ty Blue.
I looked down at the almost page less red notebook filled with my inner most thoughts and fascinations. Made up characters and ideas, out of this world places and conjuring. I opened it to a fresh clean page and began my adventure.
I walked into the lunch room, tray in hand, my eyes scanning the room for an empty seat. An empty table stood at the far right of the room, so I head to that area. What I didn't see was a banana peel that someone purposefully dropped. I slipped and fell, my head colliding painfully with the hard ground.
I opened my eyes to find a pair of blue eyes looking back at me. I jumped, causing a huge headache to erupt in my brain. I groaned.
"Be careful honey," Mrs. Ginger said softly, resting a pack of ice on my forehead. "you hit your head at lunch."
"Oh." I mumbled, remembering everything.
"A girl with red hair brought you here." The blonde nurse said, taking out a ice cold bottle of water from her mini fridge. She handed it to me. "If I were you I would thank her."
Red haired girl? That doesn't sound like anyone I know. Hell, I didn't know anyone. I sat up fully, wincing at the sudden pound in my head. I pulled my brown hair into a topknot bun and said my thanks to Mrs. Ginger.
Whoever this red haired girl was, I would find her.
