Chapter 28: Illogical
Jo sighed as she closed the web page on her laptop, the headline still reverberating in her brain; 'Jo Taylor spills: is there another man?',
"Hey," said a voice as Jo felt a hand on her shoulder, and she turned around to see Camille looking down at her, concern in her eyes. "What's the matter?"
"Hollywood Magazine printed my interview," Jo sighed.
"That's great-" but Camille stopped dead upon seeing the headline "wait, Josie, you didn't say that though, did you?"
"No!" Jo said in an exasperated sigh "They were firing questions at me, Cami, all I could get in was yes, and I have no idea what I was answering!"
"Hey!" Lucy and Stephanie looked up from where they were trying to watch a movie; when the boys were on tour, the girls spent the time in apartment 2J, keeping Mama Knight and Katie company. "What's all the noise about?" Lucy asked as Stephanie paused the movie.
"Look!" Jo cried, showing the article to the other two.
"Dude, you didn't say there was another guy, did you?" Lucy asked.
"No!" Jo threw her hands in the air in exasperation "Oh my god, what if he saw it? What if he thinks I actually did say that there was someone else? What if he doesn't love me any more? What if he doesn't ask me to marry him again? What if-?"
"Whoa, wait a- hold up! What did you just say?" Stephanie waved her hands in front of her to shut Jo up.
"What?" the blonde asked.
"What if he doesn't ask you to marry him again?" Lucy asked, eyeing the younger girl suspiciously as Camille gasped and put her hands over her mouth,
"You want him to propose again?" she squeaked.
"No, I-I don't know, yes?" Jo stuttered.
"Really?" Stephanie asked.
"No, I mean, it's been like 6 months since he proposed the first time, we're not any older, it's not logical is it?" Jo sighed.
"Is it?" Lucy raised an eyebrow in Jo's direction as the blonde shook her head, sighing.
"But," Camille pointed out slowly "neither was having a baby at 18," Lucy and Stephanie shared a knowing smirk and leaned in, giving Jo the same 'was it?' look that Camille was giving.
"OK! " Jo finally buckled under the pressure of her three best friends "I get it! It's not logical, but I still want it to happen, is that bad?" she asked in a small voice.
"No!" Camille, Lucy and Stephane told her in unison.
"If you two can handle having Lacey at your age, then you can totally handle being married," Camille told her, putting an arm around her best friend.
"Exactly," Stephanie put in "and I bet you Kendall feels the same!"
"OK," Lucy said, as if to make the final decision "so, what's the plan?"
A/N: Please excuse this crappy little chapter, it's just a filler, but on the bright side, we're getting up to my favorite part, and the end of the story (but lets not think about that), so get excited! I would be, but I'm in a crap mood, sorry! Review loves!
