Chapter Two

Kim woke up, laying on the floor, and when she didn't see anything, she thought, What's happening? I can't see anything!

As she sat up, wincing because of her shoulder, she heard, Sis! Are you ok?

Adam, I can't see!

What do you mean, you can't see? Where are you? Do you know who these people are?

No matter where I look, I just see black. I don't know where I am. She paused, and then, Ads, it's Kat.

There was another pause, and then, Kat's doing this? Why?

I don't know. I think it has something to do with you.

We're trying to locate you. Just sit tight, and don't do anything to make her mad. She also got Rocky and Jason. Try to find them, if you can, and also try to find out why she's doing this.

Ok, I love you, big brother.

I love you, too, sis.

Rocky and Jason woke up, sitting against the wall. As they looked around, Jason said, "Where are we?"

Kat, and the man, came in, and she said, "Get up."

The boys slowly stood up, and were pushed out of the cell. They walked down the hall, and were pushed into Kim's cell. As the door was slammed shut, the two boys ran over to Kim, dropping to their knees in front of her. She looked around, and said, "Who's there?"

Jason took her hand as Rocky said, "It's us, Kim. Can't you see us?"

She shook her head, and asked, "Jason's in here, too?"

Jason squeezed her hand, and she gasped. He lifted her hand, and she said as he put it on his face, "Jase?"

He smiled, and said, "It's me, Firebird."

He touched her shoulder by accident, and she winced. Rocky asked, "Are you ok?"

"I think my shoulder's dislocated."

Her brother gripped her upper arm, and her shoulder, and said, "Here, this will hurt for a second."

She nodded, and felt a pop. She gasped, and then sighed in relief. She said, "Thanks, Rocky."

"You're welcome, sis."

Jason asked, "Kim, do you know what Kat wants with us?"

She shrugged, and said, "I think it has something to do with Adam."

Kat stepped into the cell, saying, "You're right, Kimberly."

Jason said as the two young boys glared up at her, "What did you do to her? Why can't she see?"

"Don't worry, it should be only temporary."

Rocky asked, "What do you want with us?"

Kat smiled, and said, "You'll find out."

The man came in, and hit a button on the wall. The two red-clad boys stared as the wall disappeared, showing what looked like a huge computer. Kat walked over, and hit a few buttons, and the command center, along with the rangers, came onscreen. She smiled as she motioned to someone outside of the cell to come in. Two more men walked in, and the three men walked behind the three on the ground, taking out pieces of cloth. Gagging them, and pulled their arms behind them, and held them there, so that the struggling rangers couldn't move. Kat cleared her throat as she stood in front of them, and began to speak.

"Hello, rangers."

The rangers whirled around to look at the viewing globe, and when they saw Kat, Adam snarled, "What have you done with them, Kat?"

The Australian's smile widened, and she said, "Oh, they're fine, at the moment."

She moved over to the side, and the rangers were able to see Rocky, Kim and Jason, held down by the three thugs. Rocky tried to shout through the gag, but the thug holding him let go, only to hit him upside the head, hard, causing him to shut up. Adam yelled, "Rocky!"

Tommy asked, "What do you want, Kat?"

"I want Adam to surrender to me, to be my slave."

Billy said, "No way."

"If he doesn't, then…well, these three will find out what it means to not have the ability to breathe."

Aisha growled, "I can't believe we ever trusted you, Katherine."

The evil woman smirked, and said, "That's not my fault."

No one had noticed Adam's quietness, until he said, "Ok."

Tommy said as they all heard the three behind Kat yell through the gags, "What?"

Adam looked at Kat, saying, "I will not let you hurt them. Whatever you want me to do, I'll do."

The evil woman smiled, and said, "Go to the park at two o' clock. There will be someone waiting for you. You had better come alone."

The image appeared, and everyone looked at Adam, who was pale, and still leaning against the control panel. Aisha said, "Adam, I know you don't want anything to happen to them, but we can get them back without you surrendering to her."

He looked at her, and then said as he looked at Tommy and Billy, "I can't take any risks. I need my family, and best friend, safe. I can't live without them."

He looked up at Zordon, and said, "Zordon, let me do this. Once I'm in, I'll try to think of a way to get us all out. I have to try."

Billy, Tommy and Aisha looked up at Zordon, and he said, "ADAM, YOU ARE A TRUE POWER RANGER. BE CAREFUL, AND MAY THE POWER PROTECT YOU."

Adam nodded, and walked out, muttering to himself. Tommy said, "Zordon, she'll kill them."

"I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT SHE WILL TRY. HOWEVER, THEY ARE ADAM'S FAMILY, AND HE MUST PROTECT HIS FAMILY."

The three nodded, and continued to work at the panels.

After Kat hit the button on the wall, causing the computer to disappear, she said as she walked out, "Ungag them, and follow me. We must get ready for our…guest."

The three men let them go, and ungagged them. As they stood up, and walked out, Kim asked, "What're we gonna do?"

Jason took her hand, and said as she leaned against him, "For once…I don't know."

Rocky said as Jason put his arms around her, "I guess we just wait for Ads to get here."

Kim asked as she looked in his direction, "Do you think he'll come alone?"

Jason said as he felt her shake, "I have no doubt that the others will find some way to find us, but I think he'll do what she said to save you guys."

Rocky looked at him, and said, "You, too, Jase. You're our best friend, and Kim's…um, what exactly are you to Kim?"

Jason looked at her, and she said in a questioning tone, "Boyfriend?"

He smiled, and said, "Boyfriend."

She smiled, and leapt on him, knocking him back. After kissing him, she said, "I love you, Jason."

"I love you, too, Kim."

Rocky smiled, and said, "Well, I wonder what she has planned for us."

The other two shrugged, and Jason said as he looked at the cell entrance, "I guess we'll find out."

Adam looked at his watch, looked at each of the other rangers, and said, "It's time. Don't follow me, I'll find a way to get us out of there."

Aisha stepped forward, and pulled him into a hug, whispering as the others gathered around them, so that it was a group hug, "Be careful."

Everyone pulled away, and Adam nodded. He touched his communicator, and was teleported away.

Adam appeared in the park, and looked around. There was no one around, so he started to slowly walk down the path. A few minutes later, he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned, and saw a black van coming his way. When the van stopped, the man stepped out. He motioned for Adam to come closer, and Adam took a deep breath. He walked over to the man, who said, "Get in."

Adam looked at him, and then slowly got in. However, as he turned to ask the man a question, he felt something hit him on the back of the head, hard. The last thing he heard before everything went black, was the man laughing.
