Chapter Three
When Adam woke up, he saw that he was in a large room, laying against the wall. He sat up, wincing as he held his head. Man, what a headache. What the heck did I get hit with? A baseball bat? A metal rod?
He heard both of his siblings think, Adam!
Hey, guys.
Kim thought, Are you ok?
Yeah, my head really hurts, but other than that, and the fact that we're all at the mercy of Kat, I'm fine.
Rocky thought, We're gonna get out of here. Right?
Of course, Rocky. I will get you three out of here, even if it's the last thing I do.
Kim thought, You're getting out of here, too, big brother.
I'll try, but first, I get you out. Then, I'll think about me. You guys always come first.
When he heard footsteps, he thought, Someone's coming!
Kat walked in, smiling, followed by the man. She said as Adam glared at her, "Hello Adam."
When he didn't answer, she bent down, saying as she grabbed his shirt, "You will speak to me."
He glared at her, and then he said, "Hello, Kat."
She smiled, and said as she let go of his shirt, "That's better."
He continued to glare at her back as she walked away from him, saying, "Let me see them, Kat."
She turned to look at him, and said, "I give the orders now, Adam."
"I won't do anything else you want, until you let me see them."
She seemed to hesitate for a moment, and then she said, "If I give you what you want, will you do what I say?"
He nodded, and she seemed to think for a moment, saying, "Fine. But, you see, you can't just go in there looking like you haven't been roughed up a bit."
"What are you talking about? I was already hit in the head."
"But, they can't see that, can they? Stand up, Adam. We're just gonna rough you up a little bit."
He sighed, slowly standing up. He stood up straight, refusing to let her know that he was terrified. She walked over to him, and said, "This will hurt a little."
He steeled himself, as she punched him in the stomach. Gasping, he fell to the floor, wheezing as she continued to beat him. He prayed that it would be over soon.

Adam's brother and sister were crying, because they could feel what Kat was doing to their brother. Jason was doing his best to comfort them, but he found himself start to cry, too, since they had told him what was happening. Soon, they heard footsteps, and looked at the door. Adam was pushed in, stumbling to the floor, only to be caught by Rocky and Jason as Kat said, walking away, "You have five minutes."
Adam grimaced as Kim put his head in her lap, with Rocky saying, "What're we gonna do?"
Kim remembered her communicator in her pocket, and said, "I can't believe I didn't think of this before!"
She pulled it out, and Jason said, "Your communicator!"
She said, "It's time to get out of here."
She whispered as she hit the button, "I'm so sorry."
